Because of #life, I was unable to afford an extremely posh, stylish coffee table, so a friend suggested I build one instead. The legs came in excellent shape, shipment was prompt, and I love the notion that I can detach these legs and install them to another table top if I so desire. The hardest aspect of this transaction was choosing what color to buy.Each leg turned out perfectly smooth, which surprised me because I had anticipated the satin black coating to be bumpy because of my poor spray painting skills. I want those golden legs so much.The only drawback I can think of is that I am Asian and prefer lower coffee tables so I can eat comfortably while sitting on the floor. Although eating at the table from the floor is a little high, buying some floor cushions is a simple fix! This form of marking gauge is being used for the first time. The components look to be of high quality. Due to a few minor problems, I'm deducting a few stars. Despite being neatly etched, the measuring markers on the shaft are painted a yellowish-gold color, which makes it difficult to read them even in ideal lighting. The thumb screw should be a little bit lower on the head, in my opinion. It's a little difficult to utilize as is. And now for the big one for me: this. Not only dull, but exceedingly dull, are the blades. Although they weren't razors, they were sharp enough to cut. Currently, the blades feel like the unserrated portion of a regular butter knife when I touch them with my finger. When I used it on a piece of pine, the marks it made resembled pencil marks more than scratch awl marks. My scratch awl's point actually makes superior cuts. These are so dull that I assume they can be sharpened, but I have no idea how long it will take. The sharpness of all three blades is comparable to a thin washer. Perhaps, though, that is what separates a cheap cutting gauge from an expensive one. Would I repurchase it? Yes. With a little fine-tuning, this will be an excellent tool. It only requires a little paint thinner, black enamel paint, some time spent honing the blades, and it is ready to use.Update: Sharpening the blade only took three minutes. My little diamond file needs only a few passes before it is good. It's amazing value for the money.

These are good for the money, and I enjoy them. The magnet at the top makes their behavior on the bench a little unpredictable, and when I lift it off the bench, I frequently pick up more than I intended to. That is my only complaint. With moderate maintenance, the additional tips extend their lifespan. No of the brand, carbide is brittle, thus any rough treatment will result in tears. I advise either remembering to replace the tiny plastic tube that covers the tip during shipping after each use, or keeping the tip reversed to protect the point when not in use. These should last me a very long time as a pair. They produce neat, balanced "V"-shaped scribe marks, as opposed to the "one-sided-V" scribe marks produced by my height gauge. When centering a hole, which is mostly what I use these for, finding a prick punch is made much simpler and more trustworthy by the balanced scribe marks.

These are the marking tools I prefer to use. They function similarly to the old popper pencils that I remember using in school decades ago; to put up a new lead holder, you pull the old one up from the rear and insert it into the front. Additionally, the leads in the lead holders can be turned around, so pull the lead out of the holder before popping it out to get two uses out of each one.The pocket clips on these pencils are my biggest pet peeve. I usually store a pencil in one of two places: the back of my hat or my pocket. However, whenever I keep a pencil in my pocket, the small plastic clip always falls off and the smooth, rectangular pencil falls into my pocket. The pen loses a lot of its functionality and usability after the clip breaks, therefore I wish the clips were stronger or someone had produced a replacement. Swiping leads becomes difficult since I keep them in retractors and fasten them to saws so that there is always a pencil nearby.The lead is soft enough to mark on almost any surface but hard enough to last and not break up with usage. They mark nicely and are simple to keep sharp.

In order to cover the toilet, the water pipes, and the door, my husband installed a floor in the bathroom.accelerated everything SO MUCH.Helpful hints: 1. Push your hand across the back of the object you wish to cut off while pressing the front against it.It is less accurate if you don't, at least that is what we discovered to be true.#2: Tracing the shape it made requires you to press down firmly; else, the tiny bits will move on you.It would have been helpful if this was at least that long because, like with the floor, they're 8 Inches wide, but it still worked incredibly well even without that extra length.We will surely use this moving forward if we work on a project of any kind.

Definitely effective for scribing. I wish there was a better method of protecting the point than the extremely little rubber tube that comes with it. Even though I've tightened it with a pair of pliers as far as they would go, if I go to remove the rubber protector, it is so tight that the entire point pops out of its housing. I'll just have to store it somewhere where it won't be able to scratch anything valuable.
