I purchased these to mount several development and evaluation boards on the lab workbench. As a designer of embedded systems, I am always assessing new technologies. Just the weight of a USB cable can knock them into the floor, so I mount them to a piece of 5/8 plywood on my bench to keep them stable. Smaller boards like usb2serial converters and other devices benefit greatly from these 2.5 mm stand-offs. For larger boards, I use the 3 mm equivalents. Now that it has been delivered, I wish the description had provided a clearer illustration of the screw-length chart or had made it apparent that looking at the material size is the best way to determine the correct length screws needed. According to the chart, this kit does not have the right screw length for my project. So stupid Additionally, I should emphasize that soft materials should use coarse thread screws and hardwoods should use fine thread screws.

I'm launching a new company that will restore high-end vintage turntables. The variety of screw and other fastener sizes is vast (and exhausting), with many of them being extremely small and having unknown gauges, thread pitches, etc.So far, changing a set (also known as a "grub") screw has proven to be the most difficult condition. It is nearly impossible to measure thread pitch and size, whether in imperial or metric units. The selection at big box hardware stores is extremely restricted, not to mention the time and money wasted visiting one or more of them just to discover they don't have anything you needââ¬âaside from, of course, additional tools that are newer but identical to the items you already own and DON'T NEED TO BUY!I placed this order knowing full well that some of the sizes will be "wasted" because I will never use them. However, it turned out that a one-size-fits-all solution was exactly what I needed at the time and will probably continue to require in the future.I can't comment on the overall quality of these screws because I'm not a metallurgist. They are undoubtedly not the best for the price. But they should provide for my current needs, and even if I only use them to identify the sizes I'll require in the future, it was money well spent.I won't take away any ratings because the packaging is just "OK"; at this price point, you would expect (and receive) it. The same is true of the metal's quality, even though the term "alloy steel" is a very general one that leaves a lot of space for interpretation and variation.

I was supposed to receive three boxes containing 1300 pieces total of screws, nuts, etc., but I only received two, totaling 950 pieces, and the packaging was, shall we say, unusual. Whatever, in any case... Once I raised a small cane, which seems to be how Amazon is proceeding these days, they sent me a fresh whole package. However, the cane I raised was with both Amazon AND the actual vendor. I have had no communication from the seller or Amazon. Nobody texted, sent, or spoke a single word. Evidently, at some point, someone did not appreciate my one-star review stating that I would change it once I received the rest of my order, as I have just received a replacement. Yes, I used the convenient "review ransom." Within 36 hours of posting my one-star review, I had my replacement. It functions, but it's still annoying. I made 187 orders with Amazon last year, totaling over $50K in spending. This year, I already have 82 orders, putting me on track to beat last year's totals. What makes me say this? Since I send them a lot of money and order a lot of garbage, I sure would want to be treated better. Several expensive products ($500 items) are also included in my orders, which are numerous. In any case, the new shipment was considerably different because each of the three screw boxes came in a nicely fitted box with a small spacer. I'm not sure what I received in the initial package, but it was not at all professionally presented. The two plastic screw boxes were just tossed into a large package. I'm good now. After bitch bitch bitch, move on to... So, how does the real product fare? Fantastic!! My favorite. Is this professional hardware? Maybe not, but what the hell, I wouldn't know. Even if some of the screws crack, peel, or aren't quite machined correctly, it was only a few dollars. Is it great to have extra hardware in the house in case you need a screw, bolt, nut, or washer for an odd job? Absolutely, it is! Will these things' quality and hardness be sufficient to complete 99% of the tasks I intend to utilize them for? I guarantee they will! Additionally, it was a simple purchase given the price, and I would make it again, but I definitely hope the same jerk doesn't pack my order. That's pretty much all there is to know about this thing, in my opinion.

I got this variety of wood screws for a variety of potential projects and applications around the house. I was aware that I desired a selection of flathead countersunk wood screws, but I was unsure of the size screw I would require for a bracket for a door hinge. An introduction... In order to paint a bathroom door more easily, I removed it. However, when I put the door back in place, I discovered that two of the three screws holding the top hinge in place were stripped. I would say anything bad about this kit if I could, but I am at a loss for words. It is just how I had thought it would be. There were no concerns for me because the kit's contents matched the description as advertised. The plastic container appears to be rather robust, is simple to open, and has an interior rubber gasket that ensures a tight seal when closed (at least when it is brand-new). According to the provided chart and guidance, all of the bolts, nuts, and washers are placed in the appropriate compartments. The chart was attached to the inner cover with the help of two pieces of Scotch tape. In order to be prepared for any modest project, I also purchased the Vigrue 518-piece stainless steel kit with phillips pan head screws and nuts. Long-term, this will save me a ton of time and frustration. Good kit!

I was expecting the screws to be mixed up after reading some of the other reviews, however the case was covered in shrink wrap and had a piece of bubble wrap inside the container to keep everything in its place.Since I won't be using these components under heavy loads, their quality is more than adequate.Although the pieces weren't jumbled up when they were delivered, the dividers are quite flimsy. Just by taking out a few screws, a totally unrelated partition appeared, and two nearby bins began to mix. If the issue persists, I will firmly secure the partitions in place using CA glue. I am lowering the rating to 4/5 because the container was one of the aspects of the amazon listing that I liked, and it doesn't really work without some finagling.

This item actually does function. As soon as you master the joust finder, you're good to go. The only piece of advice I could give is to make sure the carpet pad is thick or really durable. The screw may not penetrate the subfloor enough if the alignment and depth control fixture is not used. Conduct a test on a section of your carpet that receives little traffic. Simply remove the alignment/depth fixture and use your drill to further drive the screw if it doesn't go in all the way. I discovered that around 1/4 inch above the carpet seems to be the sweet spot. One more thing: the alignment/depth fixture is made of plastic; while it is strong enough to snap the screws off, handle it carefully.

Let me begin by mentioning that normally, if I wanted to purchase a product like this, I would go to Lowe's or Home Depot. However, after looking at the cost and the product's features, I decided to test it. I'm happy with my choice. The shipment arrived on schedule. The screws were packaged in a sturdy, solid plastic container with a snap-on cover, and shipping was quick. I particularly liked the device because it wasn't made of fragile plastic like you might get elsewhere. This material was tough and long-lasting. It wouldn't release any screws inside if dropped a several times. Second, the way the screws were divided up was well organized. There were various round and flat head screw types, ranging in size from 1/2 to 1-1/4. I used all the screws when reconstructing my kitchen cabinets and hanging a few things in my living room. It's incredible how well-made and structurally sound each screw in the set is. This is one of the rare occasions when a product offers both quality and value to me.
