WILLIAMS Gravy Mix with Sausage, 2.5-Ounce (Pack of 12) Review:

I spent around 11 years of my life in the South, where I discovered my love for biscuits and gravy at a barbecue restaurant. They consumed this at breakfast. Every Saturday morning, my 5-year-old son and I ate breakfast there, and he has never forgotten the flavour. I tried the Williams Gravy Mix after reading the reviews on Amazon, and I was thrilled to discover that it had the most authentic southern flavour we had ever encountered. It tastes wonderful when Jimmy Dean ground sage sausage is added. Although perhaps not the best food to eat while dieting, the calories can be reduced by using water or skim milk.

WILLIAMS Gravy Mix with Sausage, 2.5-Ounce (Pack of 12) Review:

For more than ten years, I have been used Williams Gravy Mix. This, in my opinion, is the ideal method for making sausage gravy to go with biscuits. I always make an effort to keep a few packs on hand in case I need them. The last time I used it, I used three packs of the mix for a workplace party. The staff loved it, I'm happy to report. Another factor is how simple it is to remedy.

Libbys Country Sausage Gravy (15 oz Cans) 3 Pack Review:

When we don't want to eat out but still want sausage gravy for breakfast, I truly like this convenience. I toast some bread and reheat the gravy in a saucepan before using it to top the toast or simply dip it in. I don't have to measure out any ingredients, and it has a pleasant flavor. I wouldn't have purchased this item online if it were a common item in local stores, but the majority of them don't offer it. K-Mart is where I once purchased it, but the last time I went there, they were out of stock. If you go camping, it would be a useful item to bring.

Southeastern Mills Old Fashioned Peppered Gravy Mix w/ Sausage Flavor, 4.5 Oz. Package (Pack of 4) Review:

If you enjoy traditional milk gravy, order some biscuits and gravy. Nothing will be easier or better than this. Both my mum and grandma made excellent milk gravy... I haven't been able to replicate what they created up until now. The final words up until now... This is definitely top-notch material. It contains sausage flavoring, and if you'd like, you may add your own sausage. You should give it a try. Smith, L.

Chef-mate Original Country Sausage Gravy, Breakfast Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, 6 lb 9 oz, #10 Can Review:

I just tasted it after heating it up (in 2 saucepans with additional milk added because this gravy is very thick!!). Not at all awful, just fine. Although there is no "bite" to the pepper flavor, I can still taste it. If so, does it make sense? I keep tasting unanticipated flavors. In case you were wondering, I've been making my own cream gravy for years and years. It's kind of like pudding without the sugar, but I just can't get up and stand and stir and stir like I used to, so this gravy isn't a bad compromise between taste and ease. Anyway, I've finally identified the flavor that I keep tasting. It tastes faintly of sage, that's right, sage.I'm going to "bottle" this gravy when it has cooled down and store it in the freezer in some 13-ounce glass jam jars that I have been saving specifically for this purpose. As the gravy cools, whisk it occasionally to prevent the development of a "skin" on top. The frozen beef gravy/chips from Stouffer is excellent, and their gravy is outstanding. That prepared gravy will be at the top of my list if they ever release a plain gravy product. Perhaps Chefmate will release a gravy-only product without sage? Could the sausage be contributing to the sage flavor?

Pioneer Country Sausage Gravy Mix, 2.75 Ounce (Pack of 12) Review:

This simple to use mixture produces GREAT GRAVY that tastes authentically handmade. I used to make gravies "from scratch" for years before a buddy showed me how to use this incredible time-saving method. I've tried both Pioneer's Peppered Gravy Mix and this Country Sausage taste, and I like this one.Making decent gravy was essential because my husband is from the Southland, where chicken fried steaks and biscuits and gravy are staple foods. People from Northern Climes, in my experience, frequently have misconceptions about this "white gravy" and how to prepare and consume it. No, the flavor is not meant to resemble plain white wheat paste (and this brand does NOT). But for those who are curious, here are some pointers:1. The instructions on a typical batch are as follows, as printed on the package: Boil only 1 1/2 cups of water. Combine the package's contents with 1/2 cup COLD water. When the water is boiling, add the gravy/water mixture, turn the heat down, and simmer for 2 minutes.2. The following is how we manufacture TEXAS GRAVY: Add roughly 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to the 1-and-a-half cups of boiling water. Give it a minute or two to boil (this will infuse the pepper into the water, intensifying the flavor). Grind your preferred quantity of freshly ground black pepper into this mixture and stir well when you combine the gravy mix with cold water (I use a Pyrex mixing cup like this Pyrex Prepware 2-Cup Glass Measuring Cup with Lid). Believe it or not, I use an additional 1/2 teaspoon because my husband likes it spicy. I use a French whisk, such as this Kuhn Rikon 10-Inch French Wire Whisk, which has a rounded handle for easy mixing between the hands. After that, stir this into the pepper/boiling water mixture. I lower the heat and simmer for another five minutes or so. The gravy will thicken and, in my opinion, acquire a richer flavor as a result; the color will even somewhat darken. You're done when you remove the burner! Especially when compared to "scratch" gravy, easy and breezy The flavor is fantastic and goes especially well with fried chicken, chicken fried steaks, mashed potatoes, and of course BISCUITS

Campbell's Country Style Sausage Gravy, 13.8 oz. Review:

I'm set with biscuits and eggs and I ADORE this gravy. BUT because shipping isn't included, it's rather pricey. Yikes! Once you include that in, costs are approximately DOUBLED! It can't be THAT difficult to make, so my southern sisters will laugh themselves silly at the thought. My sluggishness is evident;). Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing any more at this pricing. In my defense, I initially discovered this at the Dollar Store, and if I ever discover it there again, I WILL buy it.
