I purchase sandpaper in boxes and have gone through numerous boxes. But this adhesive-backed paper was only recently brought up by a buddy, and I'm delighted he did. Although it outperforms standard sand paper in terms of durability, its adhesive back is what makes it so practical. Here are some arbitrary points:1. Less waste as you don't need to wrap any paper around the sides; just stick a piece to the face of your sanding block. As a result, you sand with all of the paper.2. Attach a piece of this paper to a sanding block's very corner or edge for precision sanding. You can utilize the straight edge to go into tight corners, etc.3. Requiring a third hand? Clamp a piece of wood to your workbench while adhering a piece of the paper to it. After that, move little pieces back and forth over the flat (and motionless) sandpaper with both hands. For a tip, cut one or two pieces of the paper and stick them to the "top side" of the object you are sanding. As you move the piece back and forth over the horizontal sheet of paper, this gives you a firm grasp on the top. Recent development: I discovered an old sample floor tile that, thanks to its smoothness, makes a fantastic flat sanding surface for adhesive sandpaper (plus I can clean off residual adhesive easily with lacquer thinner)After switching the pieces around a few times, the paper's "stickiness" eventually wears off, especially for the aforementioned "gripping" bits. The chunks won't stick, but the grit is still wonderful. Then, I treat them like regular paper.I purchased a variety of grits and applied them using both sides of a number of boards.

Although paper is thin and seems fragile, it is not. I've always believed that sandpaper is just that—sandpaper. I mean, what else can you do to improve it? I don't know what they do, but whatever it is, it's good. I purchased this in order to use it on my air file to smooth body filler, and I'm quite pleased with the paper. Stays stuck even after prolonged use, is particularly resistant to clogging, and loses little abrasion power. In comparison to other abrasives I've tried, I'd say I can use this for at least three times longer. I'm cheap, I detest changing abrasives, and I'll keep sanding until the surface is as smooth as a baby's bottom. This stuff works like the energizer bunny. Excellent value; highly advised.

This is really excellent sandpaper in a very affordable and practical shape. Before they stopped stocking it, I used to buy this stuff at Lowes. The adhesive is excellent, and I use it for hand sanding since it sticks to your fingers and doesn't slip. I also use it with square pad sanders, detail sanders, and the several odd-sized sanding blocks I manufacture. Lowes would still sell it if the weekend warriors had simply given it a shot.The fact that they don't provide these rolls in 400 and 600 or more wet or dry is my sole criticism. It would be wonderful to have the adhesive when I'm using my fingers to level out a clear coat on a curved surface. For what it's worth, if the manufacturer is paying attention, add wet or dry functionality and make products up to the year 2000. They don't listen much, lol.

Finding a paper that will hold up was difficult because I spin a variety of steel kinds on my machine lathe. The textile back is sturdy, heat-resistant, abrasive stays on, and it does not easily block up. The fact that it functions better than I ever expected greatly amazed me. Congratulations to Lincoln Electric for getting this right.(Very durable emery; abrasive stays in place; does not plug)

For years, I've used this with my DeWalt sanders. Why should you spend a fortune on individual sheets from Home Depot or Lowes? This sandpaper lasts a lot longer, is much, much stronger, and you can use it right away by simply cutting it to size, sticking one layer on the sander's pad as a base, adding another layer, clipping them in, and continuing. In addition, it extends the lifespan of your pads by 10X. Remove it when it is worn out (I find it helps to let a few layers of sandpaper build up on the pad). This will save you a ton of money on single sheets that you would otherwise have to toss away, and yes, it doesn't have any holes, so you won't be gathering any dust, but do you really? saves money in the long run, works better, and saves time. Additionally, it does a much better job, and if you ever need a small piece for hand sanding, all you have to do is cut a sheet to the required size, fold it over, and stick it to itself. This way, it won't slip, you won't be tearing it or cursing at it, you can get into those tight corners, and the job will be done so much better and in half the time! Amazing stuff. fantastic stuff

I had mixed feelings about the quality when I bought it, but Lincoln hasn't yet put their name on any crap I've ever encountered. decent emery cloth To deburr and finish polish a variety of specialized tools I produce for trucking fleet maintenance, I utilize it in light machining (metal lathe).The nicest part about this material is that it doesn't "clog up" easily and has a long working life and strong tear resistance. A few cents' worth always makes the cut, making this a product that is both affordable and effective. Keeps its edge when removing rust as well; iron oxide quickly dulls common abrasives. This item definitely holds up better than typical.

Excellent for the subsurface drainage application I need. held up well during installation, is a handy size for handling (and shipping), was wide enough for the shallow end of my run of pipe, and readily overlapped where I needed bigger fabric. However, it is not as wide as I had originally hoped to buy.I laid a third segment of fabric at the bottom of the trench (in a "U" shape, figuring silt won't travel up under the side wall then over the bottom section, given the rate (110 gpm per square foot) water flows through this fabric) for the deeper (2'–4') trench run. I pinned fabric to the top edge/sides of the trench (leaving enough to overlap after filling with stone). After laying the cloth, I filled the trench with more stone and ran my perforated pipe through it before adding a small amount of washed stone to the bottom. I overlapped the extra at the top and added some stone to hold the flaps in place. The driveway segment has been finished, but for the lawn area, we plan to pour a thin layer of topsoil across the trench in the spring. Overall, I'm VERY pleased with the product's quality and am glad I found it on Amazon because my neighborhood builders supplies doesn't offer this specific type of filter fabric.
