It's not gourmet grade and a little salty, but it's still good and fishy (in a typical salmon way)..Slices of salmon trunk are included in the can, however they are virtually crumbling or flaking; the meat is clearly not firm.I appreciate that this product only comprises salt and fish, with no strange fillers or preservatives.I normally drink the juices instead of draining the cans because there is quite a bit of liquid inside. Juices included, the can has a total weight of 6 oz; the drained weight is typically 4.5 oz. Some cans don't contain any bones, whereas others do (in the middle of the steak or trunk).Since I usually cook only for myself, I also prefer the smaller serving size (3).As shown in the picture, the cans I received do not have a key or pull tab; yet, using a can opener, they were just as simple to open as any other can.

The fish in that can was the most gorgeous salmon I've ever opened. We get fresh salmon three days a week, so I bought one of these Red Sockeye Salmons when I ran out of tuna when making tuna melts. My friend doesn't like canned salmon, so I gave it a little preparation and had him sample it. He declared the fish to be wonderful; when I told him it was canned with bones and skin, he couldn't believe it. I therefore placed an order for six more. The main drawback is not with me; the skin falls off so easily, and the bones get the best calcium from it. This salmon is definitely worth trying.
