Yes, you can wash grapes in a salad spinner. Just put the grapes in the basket, fill the spinner with water, and spin the grapes until they are clean.

In my opinion, this salad spinner is excellent. This is how we employ it:- we fill the container 3/4 with cold water while agitating the lettuce. We then add a whole head of cut lettuce or half of a large plastic box of prepared lettuce to it.We put the lid on and pour the water out. One crucial feature of this spinner is that it has an inner top that fits securely to the spinning cage and enables you to pour water out while keeping the good stuff in. We agitate again to ensure that all the lettuce is floating and cleaned.- We vigorously spin the lettuce, which is simple to perform with the pul stroke. We had a cheap IKEA that we just couldn't get up to speed with (that still receives 4 stars on Amazon??).Then we pour the lettuce into sizable containers resembling tupperware that are lined with paper towels. This manner, the lettuce keeps for several weeks, easily three times as long as it does in containers purchased from a store. Now that we have a better salad spinner, we are eating a lot more salads. This has changed our eating patterns. Instead than letting the lettuce decay in the containers we purchase at the supermarket, I actually look forward to preparing it when we get home. With the lettuce we used to throw away, we have easily saved enough money to purchase this spinner.Final thoughts: I don't see why folks keep mentioning breakage. I don't understand how you could damage this without doing something that wasn't the device's fault. It is not at all delicate.Since there is no dishwasher, the top must be manually rinsed, but this is simple to do with your sink's spray attachment. The faucet should operate if you don't have one of those. It's a delight to use and a great illustration of an improved mousetrap. I believe we will give these to our children as soon as possible. There's no need to wait for holidays.

Push button spinners seem awkward to me, thus I rather like crank spinners. With a crank, I can spin more quickly and drain more water. This one appears to be well-made and has other excellent design elements. The top latches weren't as troublesome as I had anticipated; in fact, after a spin, I can leave and let it settle (with my old spinner, any wobble would make the top pop off). In order to keep the cover locked in place in between water rinses, there is also a fill/drain port. On my old spinner, lettuce pieces would occasionally snag on the bowl and poke through the basket, making it difficult to get a proper spin. This one should be more forgiving in that regard because I've observed a little more room between the basket and bowl.Despite the fact that I paid less than half as much for it as I did for my last one thanks to a lightening deal, I am still happy with my purchase.

Nothing about this salad spinner is unappealing. It never fails when I use it every day. Very simple to store and clean up. I use it to wash and dry the components for my salads as well as occasionally to preserve another salad for later. In my search for a salad spinner, I did a lot of research. Nearly all of the ones I desired displayed a substantial number of negative customer reviews. breaking after only a few months of use. As I work to weed out fake reviews, I don't have strong beliefs about the majority of them. However, this category does seem to have a theme. The push pop spin top function of the OXO salad spinner was its main draw. I recalled playing with a toy of a similar design when I was younger. Throughout those formative years, it consistently provided a magnificent experience. In both form and function, simplicity is typically ideal.Every time I spin the salad spinner, I think back to my earlier years and am reassured by the superb quality it possesses. after several months of regular, occasionally monotonous use. The OXO salad spinner functions and appears brand-new.Sometimes I wish I had chosen the bigger one, but on those rare occasions I don't mind running the spinner a few more times for the bigger salads.High quality, robust durability, excellent performance, comfort, and pleasant recollections I hereby grant you my extremely uncommon five star seal.—- DIGITAL SIGNATUREI always end my evaluations with a THANK YOU because I value the time you took to read what I had to say. People who claim that it doesn't dry the greens are, in my opinion, skipping a small, simple step. According to the instructions, you may unlock it by detaching the tiny black component from the pump knob. If you didn't read the instructions, you wouldn't know to do it because the knob still pumps if you don't move that little piece back. You get a better outcome by sliding it back, which releases the knob to full tilt. The final drop of water will likewise be thrown off the greens if you press the stop button firmly.Despite having multiple salad spinners, none of them have ever dried the greens entirely. I simply spread them out on a dish towel for about 15 minutes before wrapping them in paper towels and putting them in zip-lock bags. In that state, they keep for about a week and a half.

As someone who washes and slices up a lot of vegetables and frequently uses tons of paper towels or cloth dish towels to dry them, I find this really helpful.I never thought I was one to need or use a salad spinner, but here it is and it's exactly great for me. Additionally, this is the only spinner with a hole in the top, allowing you to add water, cover it, wash your produce, and then drain the water without worrying about it spilling over the sides of the bowl. All you need to learn to do is spin the bowl steadily while spinning it on a flat surface. My only criticism is that the colander itself could have been a little more robust.

As with the first salad spinner I bought, the bowl fractured on the bottom after years of use, so I required a new one. I placed my order as soon as I saw the OXO Salad Spinner also came with a steel bowl. Despite being slightly rounder, the steel bowl appears to be around 3/4" less deep than the plastic model. The clear top is nice. The interior colander is not as strong as the one I replaced, but since the bowl bears the pressure from the pumping, I'm not sure whether that is a problem. I use the OXO salad spinner to spin all of the cleaned vegetables. We use it frequently in our home because it is so convenient. In order to encourage our grandson and his new bride to eat their vegetables, I also bought one as a wedding shower gift.

I frequently eat large salads. My favorite dish is that. My third salad spinner is this one. The first was Copco, which was formerly the greatest by far. Next, OXO. Greens were never as well dried by OXO as they were by Copco, and there was less capacity for greens in the basket due to the plunger mechanism of OXO. The OXO's speed was insufficient to completely spin the water out. It wasn't spectacular, but it was adequate. The plus side was that the extra greens appeared to last longer in the fridge than they did when purchased from Copco. Finally, it crumbled. The plunger/two lid's plastic pieces separated, the insides spilled out, and when I put them back together, it wasn't the same. Anyhow, I wanted a hand crank spinner while hunting for a new one because I believe it genuinely dries the best. I decided to buy the Westmark because of its excellent reviews and reasonable size. Where the 4 versus. 5 star comes into play is here. There were three alternatives available at the time of my purchase, one for $13.99 and two for $16.99. Because I believed the more expensive model would be the one with the non-skid feet described in the reviews, I made the mistake of purchasing it. I bought the green model that is depicted on the webpage with feet. I didn't receive feet. The Westmark Salad Spinner includes a piece of product information that is shrink-wrapped. Despite the fact that the real product it was shrink wrapped around lacked the feet and was green, it displayed a picture of the model with red feet rather than green. For those who are unaware, a salad spinner's non-skid feature is crucial to prevent it from falling off the counter when you release your grip while it is still spinning. It's a fantastic feature. I wish my car had one. The seller altered the price such that they are all now $16.99 when I asked what the distinction between the $13.99 and $16.99 models was. It appears to be a supplier or manufacturer issue. My best assumption is that they simply haven't updated the images and no longer produce the model with the feet. In any event, holding on to the spinner until it stops is not a big deal. But it is the reason there are only 4 and not 5. The basket has a similar size to the OXO but higher capacity because the plunger is not inside of it. It's weaker as well, but that shouldn't really matter. Compared to the OXO, it is also more portable and stores better. I enjoy that. It spins really quickly and expels more water than OXO. Normally, I spin first in one way, then the other, reposition the greens, empty the water, and then spin once more. Very well done. Although the Westmark basket's holes are about the same size as OXO's, more greens pass through it than the OXO. I suppose that depends on how well it performs. For that reason, I wouldn't advise breaking or cutting greens before spinning. After washing, spinning, and cutting for a salad. A few of the smaller greens, like baby arugula, often remain in the basket. Nothing major. I choose them and add them so the mixture can spin once again. Even though I've only had the Westmark for a week, I'm happy with it. It does slip on my counter, so I have to be more careful and grasp onto it. That's the only thing I can comment about.

A few days ago, we got our brand-new QuickDry Salad Spinner. We are astounded by how useful it is! We've used it to drain water from pasta, including spaghetti. It has been excellent for washing garden food, such as green beans. We expect it will be helpful in removing the sand and red soil from spinach and turnips, and we are looking forward to a healthy crop of cool-weather vegetables.Cleaning up is simple, as long as you add a few drops of dish soap and some hot water. A few times on top, spin the mechanism. The bowl's bottom will be used to remove grit and debris. Dry off after a thorough rinse. This item also functions as a serving bowl and colander. The bowl is made of good, heavy-duty, transparent plastic. To prevent sliding while in use, the base of the bowl has an opaque no-skid rubber ring.We are considering buying another spinner to drain water from our suits after our daily swim because the current one has such a great capacity.

Update: After using it for a few years, I still think it's great and give it five stars, but I have to retract some of my earlier remarks. The spinner can't be fully put in the dishwasher. By accident, I placed the inner basket on the bottom rack; as a result, it warped on one side and was flat for approximately three inches on the side that was facing down. A few issues have arisen as a result of this. First, when I collapse and uncollapse the inner basket, a tear has begun to form at the flattened part, which is gradually becoming worse. Second, due to the flattened side, it no longer spins as well as it once did. It will still spin if I place the basket precisely, but it isn't as effective as it once was. However, I still believe that this spinner can be used in the dishwasher ON THE TOP SHELF. And I still stand by everything else I said about it.In the past few months, I've used this a dozen times, and it has never let me down. This gadget has three functions: It functions well as a salad spinner, a colander for rapid rinses, and a bowl that is about the correct size to handle a salad for two or three people. To top it off, it truly collapses into a little, conveniently sized disc, and every component is safe to run through the dishwasher—even when compressed! However, that salad spinner is large, cumbersome to store, and although you can put the bowl and colander in the dishwasher, try fitting either one into the top rack. I've used a more costly, larger salad spinner for years, and it still works perfectly. This old infant was only used every few months. The Progressive CSS-2 is significantly simpler to use when it is taken out of the cabinet, opened, and used. Instead of once or twice a month, I now eat salads a few times a week. Some people claim that it is difficult to open, close, and use, however neither for me nor any other family member has it been difficult at all. I haven't yet come across anything that would prevent the Progressive CSS-2 from receiving five stars. And I'm getting a second one as a present. How long will it hold up? Heck! I don't know, but after two months of quite intensive use, it appears to be in brand-new condition. Even if it only lasts a year or two, the cost will be justified, and it may last much longer. Only time will tell.
A salad spinner is a kitchen gadget that is used to remove water from salad greens. The salad spinner has a bowl that is perforated with holes and a lid that has a spinning mechanism. To use the salad spinner, you place the salad greens in the bowl, add some water, and then put the lid on and spin it. The spinning action will cause the water to be centrifuged out of the salad greens and into the bowl.
Lettuce is one of the most popular salad ingredients, but do you need to wash it before putting it in a salad spinner? The answer is yes! Lettuce can be covered in dirt and bacteria, so it's important to give it a good wash before eating. To wash lettuce, simply remove any damaged leaves and rinse the lettuce under cold water. Then, spin the lettuce in a salad spinner to remove any excess water. You can then add the lettuce to your salad or store it in the fridge for later.
The process of washing lettuce is actually quite simple. Chefs typically start by rinsing the lettuce under cool water. Then, they will spin the lettuce in a salad spinner to remove any excess water. Finally, they will place the lettuce on a clean towel and pat it dry.
One way restaurants get lettuce so crisp is by using a method called double blanching. This involves blanching the lettuce in hot water for a few seconds, then shocking it in cold water. This helps to preserve the crispness of the lettuce. Another way to keep lettuce crisp is by using a hydration method, which involves soaking the lettuce in a solution of water and vinegar. This helps to keep the lettuce crisp and fresh.
If you don't have a salad spinner, you can crisp lettuce by placing it in a colander and running cold water over it. You can also place the lettuce in a bowl of ice water for a few minutes. After the lettuce is crisp, dry it off with a paper towel or clean dish towel.
