I was exactly in need of this apron to wear when working with wood. I got sick of letting stains and finishes spoil my clothes and constantly looking for the spot where I left my pencil or other tiny item that I was using at the time. After wearing it a few times after receiving it, I have the following initial impressions:- Extremely robust product made of thick, well-waxed material. The fit and quality are superb. I doubt that much of the wax treatment will penetrate. My shirt's front will no longer be stained by a spill!- At first rather rigid. The apron is stiff right out of the box, which is to be anticipated given its build. This could need some "break in" time before it becomes really comfortable and bends and twists with my body, I think (hope). Although the instructions make it obvious that it should not be machine washed, my original thought was that it simply needed a good washing. I'm hoping that after some wear and tear, this will become as comfortable as my favorite pair of jeans.- The straps have a nice touch. The first 12" or so from the front grommet up (the portion that goes over your shoulder) on each strap are surrounded by a slightly wider and much softer material, as shown in the photo. The straps are made of approximately 3/4" nylon web, similar to what is typically found on a backpack or duffle bag for cinching things up.Pockets are excellent. Having pockets for tiny tools was my main driving force behind getting an apron. When I was working in the store, I frequently found myself looking about for something I had in my hand moments earlier. I wonder where I put the tape measure now. It appears that I wasted more time seeking for my pencil than I did working on my assignments. It's convenient to store tape measures, little squares, and other small tools in the front kangaroo pockets. I suppose you could put a cell phone in there as well, but that's not something I would do while working in my shop; it's better set up safely on a bench out of harm's way. The top pocket is excellent for pencils, little rulers, etc.I would strongly recommend this apron if you work with wood; you can count on it to last a very long time.

I've been wanting a store apron for a long to keep my clothes clean. I build cabinets and create unique woodwork. I constantly muck about with messy things and muck up my clothes. The apron was just delivered to me a few days ago. When I first opened the package, I saw that the apron's quality was excellent. The structure overall and the stitching are excellent. It hung extremely well on my body and was quite simple to customize to my size. The cross over ties on the back and the shoulder straps were my favorites. Because of the lower flap pockets, this apron won me over over a few others I was considering. I do a lot of woodworking, and I detest having to remove sawdust and wood chips from my pockets. The sawdust problem is resolved by the flaps that cover the lower compartments. The fact that this apron didn't have many pockets was the second factor in my decision. Solid 4.5. I turned.Because I'm a butcher and sausage maker and the sausage making, grinding, and mixing process is a MESS, I ordered this apron. Every day, I was practically submerged in water up to my waist. That is the ideal use for this apron.It hits me just below the knee and wraps around very beautifully. I'm a 5'3" lady who weighs about 150 lbs. The necktie is substantial. Since I'm a bit short, the adjustable neck strap is excellent, although it frequently slides loose. That could be user mistake, as I haven't played about with the connector. It is almost entirely waterproof. At the end of the day, I wash it by directing a hose's spray straight at my body, and it hasn't soaked through.However, it isn't that thick, which is both good and terrible. It's quite comfy because it's thin, however using a knife stupidly allowed me to easily stab a hole in it. Overall, I'm happy I made the purchase and will likely buy another one as a result (which is why I'm remembering to write this review).

I can't really complain about this apron because it prevents hot slag and grinding dust from ruining your work clothes. There are a few little holes from slag landing on it since I was unable to stop it from burning through due to my posture. It's not really the apron's responsibility for pinholes because I still received slag burns even with a fiberglass welding blanket on top of me. Just the circumstance it was applied to. Just to be clear, it is flame resistant rather than flame proof. The pocket's stitching broke loose on one side, which is the only issue I've discovered thus far. The rest of it works well and is often used. It is much simpler to put on and take off thanks to the beautiful clip buckle than it is with other brands, which require constant tying.

Within reasonable expectations, this apron has kept me dry. In a restaurant, a dishwasher used it for hand washing. If you get wet, the water will flow off the apron and possibly get on your shoes, but the vinyl will not be penetrated. Usually, by the time my shift is over, I am entirely dry. The only place where water might seep through is at the bottom, where it might collect and eventually seep a little into the backing.The way one of the knots started to fall apart is the only problem I have with it. You can cut off the unraveled portion of the plastic webbing because it is composed of plastic, and then use a lighter to melt and seal the raw edge. Apart than that, I don't know if the stitching will hold up after a year of heavy wear. It simply has one line of stitching and is not made of heavy grade thread. You can wash it in the washing on a low spin and hang it to dry after wiping it down (dries pretty quickly since the materials were made not to absorb water).I've had this apron for a few months now, and so far I haven't had any big problems with it. Arrived smelling strange (a little chemical), but after a few days, it was perfect. It accomplishes its purpose and keeps me dry, which is very appreciated. Though the construction is a little bit shoddy, I would still suggest it for the low cost and good functionality.

I prepare seafood for our public aquarium show as part of my employment. I went through many aprons that are waterproof. This one looks like leather, is well-made, and is considerably heavier than a typical apron. After I spill a lot of sea water or fish blood on it, it cleans off nicely. The straps across the back could be lengthened, since they are a little challenging for me to tie on my own. That is the only adjustment I can think of.
