Yes, LED lights are better for an RV for several reasons. First, they are much brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs, so you'll be able to see better at night. Second, they use less power, so they'll save you money on your electric bill. Third, they last much longer than traditional bulbs, so you won't have to replace them as often.
You can put any light in your RV as long as it is the right size and shape. You need to make sure that the light you choose will not be too big or too small for the space you have available. You also need to make sure that the light will not be too heavy for the RV’s electrical system.
Yes, you can replace your incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs. LED bulbs are more energy efficient and last longer than incandescent bulbs.
Yes, you can replace 12v bulbs with LED. In fact, LED bulbs are becoming increasingly popular as replacements for traditional incandescent bulbs. LED bulbs use less energy and last longer than incandescent bulbs, making them a more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly option.

Rear turn signal bulbs for a 2005 Accord sedan: simple to install, reliable performance. As with several of Bosch's higher-end bulbs, I had hoped that these were either American or European-produced, but sadly, they are made in China. I can't comment for how long they'll survive because I just installed them, but I made sure to install them while wearing gloves to prevent skin oil from getting on them. Hopefully they'll last for a while.

These LED replacement lights lack a switching power source, unlike many others. Instead, they appear to have a number of clusters of diodes organized in a current mirror. These are the bulbs you *are* looking for if you want noise-free lighting that won't produce any form of radio frequency noise. The bulbs have a full wave rectifier integrated into them, preventing polarization (thus you can plug them in either of the two possible ways and they still work). These lights operate in a very wide voltage range, from less than 11V to above 14V, which is advantageous because I want to use them both on shore power and when dry camping. The current (and light output) do not much increase with increased voltage, and you are only increasing the amount of waste heat produced because they are a current mirror configuration. The efficiency of these is higher during dry camping (when battery voltage is lower), which is when efficiency matters the most, even though that may make them less efficient than switching power supplies. They are nevertheless far more efficient than any incandescent or halogen lamps. When turned on, current ranges have a maximum of 300mA and, as they get hotter, drop to about 260mA. (Always maintain LEDs as cool as you can; cooler running LEDs produce more light per watt.)The lumens rating is excessive, like many LED lamps. I reduced the input voltage by using a regulating power supply to roughly 9.5V at 270mA. Inferring that only approximately 9.5V is over the diodes (presumably they are 3V Vf in series strings of 3), and the rest is across the full wave rectifier and the current mirror transistors as the voltage grows. Any lower and the current started to decline. 9.5V*.27A=2.6W. These produce roughly 310 lumens assuming a lumens per watt of 120 (the best in the industry is about 150). The claimed 684 lumens are significantly below what they actually are, but they are still very bright. Additionally, since there are so many LEDs compared to previous lamps, this will likely result in more light and better heat dissipation.I'm more than satisfied with these bulbs because they replaced incandescent halogens that used 18W and produced less light than these did.As a bonus, all of the LEDs appear to be connected in series with one another, which helps guard against catastrophic failure. Many switched LED bulbs connect diodes in series, and if one burns out, the device in series with it also likely to burn out.The one drawback is that I prefer soft white to the colder white that these produce, but they are still worth it for their efficiency and absence of RF noise.

I've previously bought these replacement bulbs, and they performed admirably. This time, they were quite challenging to install, and I was completely unable to do so in the light above my table. The central "nub" on the new ones was smaller when I compared them to a burned out one. I'll check with my RV repairman, who is scheduled to visit tomorrow for another repair.

It is almost an exact match for the previous fixture and is quite reliable. Nice and bright; perhaps brighter than the last one. And I anticipate much less upkeep. The former fixture's bulb needed to be changed every couple of years. Even though the screw holes didn't match the old fixture, mounting was relatively simple. Not a big deal, that was to be expected. It was very easy to drill new ones, however depending on how your old fixture was mounted, you might need to figure out how to work around one of the old holes. To be sure you can access the wiring, you may also want to remove the existing fixture. The connectors for ours had to be fished out from inside the wall because it was tucked back inside. If you have access from the inside, it won't be a problem, but it's still important to make sure you can reach them from one side or the other.

I was worried that these wouldn't be 1141 bulbs because of certain reviews. Additionally, I questioned whether they were replicas. However, the code is from Camco, and the inscription does state 1141. It fits exactly the same as the off-the-shelf package bought from the dealer. They have not yet undergone durability and brightness tests.

Yes, I had my reservations. When it comes to bulbs, I'm a little "old-school." However, it's becoming increasingly difficult to locate replacement filament bulbs. I therefore entered the cutting-edge world of non-filament bulbs with some reluctance. I'm really pleased I did, by the way. Two significant benefits: They 1) don't become too hot and 2) have brighter, more consistent light.I utilised mine for a boat's engine room, and I always appreciate any opportunity to lessen a heat source. Overall, I've changed my mind and become a fan. I highly recommend buying a few as backups for when my remaining filament bulbs eventually stop working.

There are two bulbs in the box. One had a crack or break at the bulb's connection point, whereas the other was unharmed. The cracked one might still be installed and is currently functional. It arrived broken, though it is unclear if that was the case before shipping or after. I'll take it for $2.50 per bulb and a quick installation. Without the split in one of the bulbs, the rating would have been five stars.

Although they fit and function as planned and were sent and delivered swiftly, it is still too early to predict how long they will survive. The car is over 19 years old, and although I replaced the original bulb, the other original bulb is still functional. If these bulbs live even half as long as the originals did, I doubt I'll own the car for that long.

After spending some time with them in their trailer while hunting, I bought these as a gift for someone. In contrast to my (newer led) trailer, I was struck by how dim the lighting was. These are gifts that I bought. The reply, in my opinion, was "Wow amazing I have seen the light!" Installation was simple and straightforward, and it was a significant upgrade from the previous incandescent lighting. Hopefully the cooler running of these will prevent the lids from melting over time ( as was the issue with incandescent ).

I changed all except one of the lights I use most frequently. Over my dining table, I have a three-bulb light. All three bulbs were barely on, and while they were all functional, only two of them were as bright as using one. I then returned the regulars and placed these elsewhere. Hope they endure. Since just five of the ten won't be on at once when we turn on the motorhome's lights, take a shower, etc., the power consumption drops from 1.2 amps per device to.27 amps per device, saving almost 4.5 amps. Campers, you know how simple it is to operate your RV at its maximum amp draw. Save some power by turning down the lights!
No, you cannot use a 120v light fixture for 12v. The two voltages are not compatible and using one in place of the other can damage the fixture or cause a fire.
RV LED lights are becoming increasingly popular among RVers for their low power consumption and long lifespan. So, how long do RV LED lights last? Generally speaking, RV LED lights can last anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 hours. That’s over 5 years of continuous use! Compare that to traditional incandescent bulbs which only last around 1,200 hours, and you can see why LEDs are such a popular choice.
An RV LED light typically uses around 0.5 amps. This is a much lower power draw than traditional incandescent bulbs, which can often use 2-3 amps each. LED lights are a great way to upgrade your RV lighting without needing to upgrade your electrical system.
A 1156 bulb typically has around 700 lumens.
A 12v 1141 bulb typically has around 14 lumens.
1156 is a standard light bulb base that is used for a variety of applications. The number of watts that a 1156 bulb uses depends on the specific bulb type, but the most common wattage is 25 watts.
