great replacement for the trim. It didn't come with instructions, and it didn't seem like it would work at first. It wouldn't even stay in the grooves when I originally tried to install it. But after I installed it and turned it over, it worked flawlessly. Although it appears to be installed in one orientation, that is incorrect...I was able to install it with my bare fingers for the most part after about 5–10 minutes of practice, with a little aid from a little flat screw driver here and there. I cut it to the length I required, lay it out in the sun for a little while to help soften it up, and then installed it. The replacement of around 70 feet of trim took around two hours. Under the outdated trim, there was a ton of gunk that needed to be removed. I used a small amount of silicone to seal the ends when the new trim was placed. Much improved appearance! The hardest part involved roughly 50 trips up the ladder!

When camping at events or tailgating where you are closely parked, the Camco Gen-Turi is a necessity for your RV generator. In fact, having a generator exhaust pipe is currently required at several festivals.The installation process is a total breeze. To connect the provided exhaust adapter couplings to your existing generator exhaust, all you need is a wrench or pair of pliers. There are three of these adapter couplers included for use with practically any generator. The adapter coupler features a hole for attaching the first riser pipe, and it is kept firmly in place. The curving metal pipe from the bottom Gen-Turi riser is connected to your generator with a metal clip. The exhaust is then connected to two more pipes that are placed above your roof line.A rubber bungee cord that is attached to the second pipe stabilizes the entire network of riser pipes. Before buying this, I read older reviews and articles that mentioned suction cups. I'm not sure if they decided not to include them at this time, but my shipment only had the more durable clips that used screws and double-sided tape. I did purchase suction cups from a nearby shop, which I am using to stabilize the device as I wasn't yet ready to drill screw holes in the body. Now that I am more at ease with their places, I will probably install the permanent mounts, but for those who don't want to drill holes in their exterior, the suction cups have been performing fine on the smooth fiberglass surface.The rest of the riser pipes are composed of a thin wall plastic, with the exception of the bottom curved pipe that connects directly to the generator. No worries exist regarding melting. That is as a result of the unit's design utilizing the venturi effect. There is an open air gap where the lower plastic pipe connects to the metal pipe, allowing cooler air to be sucked in along with the rising exhaust fumes. By mixing the exhaust with fresh air, this keeps the pipes colder and helps to reduce the amount of carbon monoxide and other gases in the exhaust.The whole system is delivered in a nylon bag that may be used to store it easily in one of our lower compartments.I've read comments on forums from folks who expressed concern about carbon monoxide getting into their campers, especially through air conditioners that are running. This is unimportant. First of all, the exhaust that is rising through the pipe is still warmer than the surrounding air temperature and will continue to climb and disperse even after adding new air to the exhaust through the "venturi". Second, while operating, air conditioning units circulate the air within rather than bringing in outside air. I've used it with our roof vents open and can confirm that no exhaust is perceptibly entering the camper. The CO2 alarm would have sounded before purchasing this device if the generator was running with the door open. Now that we have the Gen-Turi, we don't have any issues with that.I read over a good deal of forum posts before making my purchase. I have seen a lot of homemade variations of this. In the end, I decided that the amount I could save was too modest to justify doing this when it was already commercially accessible and being delivered to my door. The time it would take to attempt to construct it, the gas it would cost to run to the neighborhood home improvement store to gather all the parts... Savings were inadequate to forego purchasing the genuine article.Without a Gen-Turi, I can't image anyone using their RV generator. Take care of yourself. Treat your neighbors well. Exhaust should be moved upward and away.

I replaced all 4 strips on the corners of my camper with a 50' roll with some extra left over. Remove screw at bottom end. Pull old molding off as high as you can reach. Get ladder. Remove lap seal on top end to expose the other screw. Remove screw. Measure the width of the end that is tucked underneath, which in my case is 1" wide. Measuring across the outside of the track will not give you the correct measurement unless you've done this before and know what you've got Follow this down to the bottom. Make sure to cut the molding at least half an inch past where the screw will go at the bottom, past the track. The molding can easily be cut using scissors. Before I was prepared to insert the bottom screw under the floor, I did not cut the molding. While you're re-lap sealing other parts of your roof, you might as well lap seal the top end. The molding was just unrolled as I proceeded. Excellent new molding design. extremely easy to work with One of the simpler things I've ever done while camping.Molding is flexible. It isn't designed to fit around windows with rounded corners. It perfectly navigates around the corners and curves.I find it incredible that people will purchase the incorrect product for their needs and then give it a poor review.

I was stuck inside my RV since the original latch broke, LOL. To take a photo of the latch and test whether I could open it without harming the door, I had to extend my arm outside the door while holding my camera in my hand. I could make out the screws that held the latch on the door. Luckily, I had a screwdriver in my RV, so I was able to remove the broken lock quickly. To open the door, I could have also used a kitchen knife to pry the bolt back, but I decided against doing so due to the confined space at the edge of the door frame. Thank goodness I was able to locate the precise replacement latch on Amazon, which would arrive the following day. The screen door must remain closed in order to keep my cat inside and flying insects outside because it is too hot to leave the exterior door open. To keep the door closed until the replacement latch was delivered, I utilized a little piece of bungee cord I had. All of these locks seem to have a weak area on the handle that, after prolonged use, will ultimately break. I guess I'll replace the full (plastic) screen door with an aluminum version when I go home instead of ordering one extra for the following time. These thin plastic screen doors never really appealed to me. A screen door made of aluminum will also be stronger to deter racoons from stealing my cat for meals.

I went to the dealership to pick up my new Weekend Warrior fifth wheel, and everything went smoothly. I've never used a 5er because I've always had a bumper pull. When I took it to storage to drop it off, it would only make a loud grinding noise and no longer lift the landing gear to unhitch the trailer from my truck. It was impossible to manually lift it using the handle. I started looking into it and discovered that the gearbox for the landing gear had split in half. When I called the dealership, they told me to bring it back and they would install a new (plastic) one. It was around 30 miles to the dealership. I went to my go-to source, Amazon, and discovered this beast for only $40. LESS than the original piece of junk made of plastic. Why in the name of God didn't the manufacturers use this earlier? Mind astounding.Anyway, the trailer was too huge for my area, so I had to tow it to a friend's house and park it there with the vehicle. I used a bolt and nut to hold the gearbox in place as I attempted to figure out a remedy, but this simply made things worse (see pic). I installed this yesterday after only two days of receiving it. took almost a half-hour. To remove the previous one, I did need to sand down the shaft because it was stuck on some tiny burrs. The motor was removed using 2 bolts and 2 more screws. I had to use a hammer to remove the previous one as well. For a mobile guy to come out and change it, I was given a figure of at least $250 in labor, a travel fee, and the cost of the part. I'm glad I accomplished it on my own!There are numerous YouTube videos that demonstrate how to do this using very basic tools. The gearbox is flawless and, compared to plastic ones, should last much longer. highly suggestable

The actual 12" height of this item is its best feature. It was barelywas (1/4) of an inch too big for the area, but a construction blade made quick work of trimming it. this is significantly better than the genuine replacement that kept falling out.

These factors WOW saved my marriage! 40 years of living in an RV. Had them all: fifth wheels, motor homes, travel trailers, and more. I recently started RVing with a small feather light trailer pulled by my Dodge Mini Van. I used these balls. One on the trailer tongue and one on the hitch ball of my van. I backed up slowly while observing the two balls through the rear view mirror and aligned the balls. one in back of the other when I slowly backed as the one ball on my van hitch fell off. Went to see what was up...I I couldn't even yell at my wife since she wasn't there. Happy Wife, Happy Life.PS: Verify that the heights of your trailer and vehicle are appropriate.

The straps are too short, but the item functions. Nothing special about the length or width of my RV—a it's 32-foot fifth wheel with two air conditioners on the roof. When wrapped around the back AC unit, the rear gutter covers performed as intended. The straps, however, were too short for the front installation to wrap around the front AC unit. For my installation, the straps were around 3–4' (yes, feet, NOT inches) too short. Manufacturers position the AC units further back in 5th wheels since the front roof slopes downhill toward the front of the RV. Although it wasn't ideal, I was able to attach the front protector set by wrapping it around the offset antenna mount (roughness of TV mount may cause strapping to fray). Only approximately 3-4" of strap was left when I installed the front protection. One of the protector sets must have a longer strap or an extension, according to the manufacturer.

My wife and I recently purchased a brand-new Forest River travel trailer. When we got it home, though, the rear electric stabilizers didn't function. We tried to find the manual override handle in the storage compartment but were unable. When we called the dealer, they informed us that these handles were currently unavailable but promised to send one our way as soon as possible. It's been almost 4 months, and despite numerous follow-up calls to the dealer, we continue to receive the same response: "not available at this time." Naturally, I became weary of hearing that tale and searched up the stabilizers' manufacturer, Lippert. So I went to the trusty Internet, where, to my surprise, Lippert Jack handles that are available right now on Amazon appeared. I anticipate arguing with the dealer about this.
