Since magnets don't adhere to stainless steel very well, I had to utilize the 2 circular foam adhesive installation pads that came with my stainless-front dishwasher. Although it is a little bigger than anticipated, there is no justification for saying "I didn't notice it." One of the rare instances where the Amazon image does more harm than help is in this example. These magnets are lovely, powerful, and little. These are about 3/16 of an inch in diameter, for those of us who cannot picture what "mm" means in real life. Therefore, if five of them were to be placed side by side, they would measure just under one inch. They were to support pictures on my wife's refrigerator, she insisted. That is a good application. These are too small to be used for anything else and are awkward to handle because of their small size, therefore I personally wouldn't want them.
