This thermometer is great. I've purchased a number of them over the course of my four children, and I'll keep doing so as long as my children are still too little for rectal temperatures. When cleaning, exercise caution because water that gets too close to the digital display will damage it and produce readings that are absurdly high and inconsistent. Furthermore, if you use Vaseline each time, the majority of them will function better and be more accurate. Another suggestion is to make sure you switch it on and wait for the dashed lines before taking the temperature in order to get the fastest, most accurate reading. I won't use any other brands.
