I was in a tough situation when my prescription for readers exceeded the highest limit allowed by the drugstore since I didn't want to pay an optician $100 or more for a pair. These are invaluable (the 4.00 diopter). I can't comment on their durability because I haven't had them in a very long time. However, given the cost, ordering more would be simple. (The readers from the drugstore always misplace the nose pads and end up torturing noses! This is prevented by the sturdy plastic frame here.) Despite what someone said, the goods I received looked just like the picture. Although I'd prefer to see even more robust lenses and other less "nerdy-cool" styles, I'm still quite happy and appreciative of the quality and affordability of these glasses. Thanks!

I was astounded with the company and the glasses together! The glasses are AMAZING, however because of my peculiar nose shape, I have to adjust the nose bridges of EVERY pair of glasses I've ever worn to the fullest extent possible. The nasal bridges on these glasses weren't made to move very far, so you might not be able to close the glasses into their compact shape. This is due to the tiny design of the spectacles. One of the nose bridges cracked when I was attempting to adjust it. The business contacted me the day after I received them to inquire about my satisfaction with my purchase. I replied and informed them of the breakage. Without hesitation, another pair of glasses was on the way, delivered overnight, if I may add. I received a new set the next day! This time, I was considerably more careful, and in little time at all, all 3 pairs were wonderfully adjusted! Yes, they sent me another PAIR of glasses, making a total of 3 pairs; I gave the extra pair to my sister, who also adores them. I would have given this business ten stars if I could have! Since then, I've acquired two additional pairs in two different styles, and I still have more on the way! They are a really good company that sells (not sure if it's both or just one of the two) a VERY good product! Purchase a set for yourself, and judge for yourself! By the way, I wasn't offered anything as payment for writing a positive review; instead, I received a replacement pair for the ones I shattered when bending carelessly a piece of quite thin metal in a hurry to try them on.

I've already purchased roughly 4 packs of 5 of them. Since I've turned 50 and am now considered old, I lose them and have them stashed in every part of my home. While sorting laundry the other day, I was unable to read the labels on my clothes, so of course I now have a couple pairs that reside in the washing room. I just got my glasses. I also placed an order for the DoubleTake items in the bigger case. I placed orders for one pair in 1.75 and one set in 2.25 (the bigger case ones) (the skinny cased ones). I anticipate enjoying having the choice of the two powers. I've been wearing 2.0s from the drugstore since my surgery because it seemed like the best compromise, but I think the 2.25 are a little better for closer up work or reading small labels, small print, while the 1.75 will give me a little more range for things a little farther out like a desk top computer screen. The skinnier ones come in two shades: one pair is black and the other is a deeper shade of brown. The larger ones also appear to come in two subtle variations in color; one is more of a blue-black tint and the other is sort of a dark brownish grey (?)I'm delighted with my initial impressions so far.We'll see how everything turns out. I also purchased a pair of CliCs in 1.75 with the intention of wearing them more in the classroom (I'm a teacher) in order to avoid having a pair always sitting low on my nose and making me look like an old grandpa. Saved my life so far! (Longer review to follow) Since I had been experiencing headaches for the past two weeks, I reasoned that my use of the monitor and my eyes must be to blame. I use four monitors every day at work, and I believed that the distance and reading portions of my prescription progressive lens glasses weren't working properly since the monitors were too close and far apart, respectively. When I had my eye exam last week, the doctor told me that my two-year-old prescription was still valid, so my glasses were good. However, she suggested that I try "office" type spectacles, which are better suited for use at arms' length. I didn't feel like spending a ton of money on another "special" pair of glasses, but then I thought of the guy at my home office who works in the IT department all day and wears these "nerd type spectacles," even though I know he doesn't usually wear glasses. I decided to try them after doing some online research and finding them. They were on my Overnight Shipping list!I received the glasses yesterday in the early afternoon, and because my headaches generally start to worsen about midday, I put them on. Yesterday was the first day in two weeks that I went the entire workday without getting a headache! Perhaps my monitors are failing? Even worse, working with several monitors for extended periods of time is increasing incidences of eye tiredness and strain, according to my optometrist. Let's face it: more and more individuals spend their working days utilizing numerous monitors. I could "feel" the pressure in my eyes from staring at my screens before I put these on. Even though I adjusted the screens' settings (brightness, etc.), that didn't help. When I put these on, I almost instantly "feel" that my eyes are under reduced pressure and strain. Additionally, you can notice that the screens' true tint has changed, emitting less "Blue" light.When I read testimonials like this, I would often assume, "Yeah yeah, too good to be true, blah blah blah," but I had been experiencing mild migraines for two weeks. Day 1: VERY happy. I am still very new to readers, and my first set (from a different brand and vendor) on Amazon was terrible. Because of this, I was hesitant to buy another set. However, I have no regrets; I love the colors and the style, but what I really love is that they are clear. No matter which part of the lens I look through, it is crystal clear!
