Best Punchless Binders in 2020

Leather Portfolio Professional Resume Padfolio - Document Folder & Organizer Folio for Letter-Size & A4 Writing Pad with Business Card Holder, Ideal Gift Portfolios for Men + Women Review:

I've been looking to replace a cracking vinyl portfolio and decided to take a gamble here. I compared several options, this one came out on top because they do not brand it on the outside (a very discrete company identification stamped on the inside with leather tools) and it has business card holders plus two pockets on the left as shown in the illustrations.

The portfolio is a nice brown, the stitching is good and even, no loose threads or evidence of replacement stitching. Corners and seams are even with no bunching or bulges. Nicely holds two pens plus standard (US) 8.5"x11" pad of paper via top-load slot. Nice leathery smell and feel (almost suede) with perceptible pore marks when you look closely. It does have varying appearance across parts of the grain - and mine has a few obvious spots that appear as if oil were dripped on the skin. If you are looking for absolute perfection you would need to pay more and look for a more varnished vanish - this definitely shows "character".

My only concern (not yet a flaw) is that it came with a piece of cardboard inside with oil stains and a remark that it is there to absorb excess oils. Nothing feels oily, and I put my paper pad in last night and see no oil absorption overnight. I will watch this a few days and come back to update review if I decide that it is staining the business cards or writing pad and give the seller an opportunity to give me and all of us some feedback.

Five Star Flex NoteBinder, 1 Inch Binder, Customizable, Notebook and Binder All-in-One, Black (72409) Review:

I got this note-binder, because my actual binder was too thick for my bag and was uncomfortable. Since this product widens and narrows at the spine as you add or remove content, it was a perfect solution. Here is a breakdown of Pros and Cons:

PROS:
-Flexible. It's not rigid like a binder and so will fit in your bag and move around if necessary.
-It's as thin or thick as you want it.
-Unlike a binder, you never have to worry about the rings coming apart in your bag or gaps that snare papers.
-Comes with free (college ruled) filler paper, graph paper and dividers.
-Has a view cover for your customization.
-Folds over, and takes up half the space of a binder.

CONS:
-Included free paper is low quality (I'm talking 99 Cents Store Quality). I'd thought that since it was 5-Star, they'd include some high quality Mead filler paper. It tears very easily and writing doesn't come out as nicely. But hey, it was free paper.
-As others have noted, its hard to turn large amounts of material at once. The solution to this is large holes in the paper. If you punch your own holes for paper, then this shouldn't be an issue.
-Can't quickly add/remove papers (the rings have to opened one at a time).

BOTTOM LINE: Great product to replace traditional binders. It brings the best of notebooks and binders together, with a few kinks. If anyone is a chemistry major, invent some material that is as flexible and cheap as rubber, but without the friction and tell these guys. That is the way to improve the rings in it. Otherwise, I recommend it.

Filexec Products Clamp Binder, Removable Spine Label, Pack of 2 (50303-61123) Review:

These binders are great: tansparent and very sturdy. The clamp on both opens and closes just fine. I am wiondering if the one star reviewer's was defective or they did not know how to open it. You have to push the clamp handle, down and then towards the outside, to open it. The cost is the same for this pack of 2 as another similar product is charching for only 1. I bought both so I could see if there was a difference. The only difference I found was that these two are slightly longer than the single one by Staples.
The difference between this and some of the less expensive ones, are that it has a pocket along the outer spine into which a paper with a title or label can be inserted. Geat product.

Five Star Zipper Binder, 2 Inch 3 Ring Binder, Expansion Panel, Durable, Black/Yellow (29052BB7) Review:

I bought this binder for my son for Christmas, as he was quickly outgrowing the simple accordion style binder that he has been accustomed to for the last few years. This binder seems to be well constructed and sturdy with ample room for all his subject folders and notebook paper. It also has an internal accordion folder for the loose papers he may not know where put. Organization seems to be well thought out! It also has an expandable pocket on the outside for a few books. I will update my review once I see how it holds up (this is why I gave only four stars, I can't give the full five until I see how well it endures!) I will be sure to let you all know! Single Strong Clips File Folder, Punchless Binder, Office Project Folder, Commercial or School Documents File Folder, for Letter Size or A4 Size, 100 Sheet Capacity, Black Review:

First of all I'm glad that this product is still around. It's the best way to "bind" manuscripts without punching holes for fasteners. Can't find these at Staples nor Office Maxx. Secondly, since it's a product from Asia, I'm glad that it's big enough to use it for U.S. paper sizes. And lastly, the product was packed nicely and I will buy again if my daughter needs extra. It came 2 binders per pack.

ACCO Presstex Grip Punchless Binder with Spring Action Clamp, 0.62 Inch Capacity, Dark Blue (42523) Review:

The Acco Grip binder is extremely easy to use. No holes to punch; just clamp the pages into the binder, add or take away with EASE! Decades ago I had binders like this. They were lost in moving. In the furor of all of my varied jobs, week by week/year by year, I FORGOT about grip binders. Threw my writing projects into whatever I could find. Folders. No, no. Not good. FINALLY hunted around and was overjoyed to find Acco's still in production!

They hold at least 110 pages, perfect for keeping the revised draft of my novel together. (I'm using 2 of the same color for the current manuscript). Even as I go through the manuscript searching for small errors and making notes in margins and between the lines, the pages don't slip out. This binder knows its job. Its clamps are very strong!

There is nothing quite like these binders. The covers are very sturdy. Be sure I will keep a good eye on mine from now on.
