PS2 and PS3 cables are not the same. PS3 cables are not compatible with PS2 consoles and vice versa.
PS2 cables are still used for some devices, but they are not as common as they once were. Many newer devices use USB cables, which are more versatile and easier to use. PS2 cables can be difficult to find, and they are not compatible with all devices.
You can connect a PS2 to an HDMI cable, but you will need to use an adapter. The adapter will convert the signal from the PS2 to HDMI.
A PS2 can not be plugged into a monitor because it does not have the right type of input. A PS2 only has AV outputs, which are not compatible with monitors.

"I adore how precise a mouse and keyboard are. bought for my PS4 Professional. Although I was improving with the controller, using the keyboard and mouse now comes so naturally to me.Since the app was able to detect key presses and mouse movements but the console was not, I was becoming frustrated. Following some investigation, you must use the PS4 remote in USB mode. When I moved the mouse and it responded, I was overjoyed. After that, it was much plug and play!If you are confident using a keyboard and mouse, I highly recommend it."

I can vouch from personal experience that this active PS2 converter works with older keyboards like the model M. I made the purchase with the hope that it will function (given the money, it's a no-brainer!) and I'm thrilled to say that it operates without a hitch!Although the keyboard still has all of its original capabilities, Windows 10 reports it as a barcode reader. Just something for all of you keyboard aficionados. It performs admirably and will work with your older peripherals!

I still use a PS/2 keyboard, yes.It will continue to be connected, but reportedly, when we were using computers back then, we were never more than three feet from them.I'm not sure if this is a PS/2 feature I'm not aware of, however the item works fine and I can now hot plug my keyboard. What?

Since I have three displays, three PCs, and one keyboard, I use two keyboard/monitor switches. Due to the cable adapter bumping the rear of the cabinet when I press computer three into the desk, I have had loose connections. I had more space after using this extension cable, and the loose connection is now fixed.

There is no doubt that not all USB to PS/2 keyboard and mouse splitters are the same. The majority are not real converters but merely plug adapters. Of course, the overwhelming majority are all just generically labeled, making them difficult to research and offering essentially no driver support. When attempting to use this on a macOS, the difficulty increases.I came to the conclusion that this particular device will indeed function on a Mac after doing a lot of study. Since there aren't many brand labels, I had to rely mainly on the image. The long, thick (2-inch) component on the USB end indicated that this was a real converter, which is what I required to get my IBM Model M to function on my MacBook.Although it occasionally malfunctions and I have to repeatedly press the ALT key (which is mapped to the Mac command-key), this rarely happens.TIP: I remapped the ALT key to command on my 20 year old Model M keyboard, the CTRL key to option, the CAPS LOCK key to control (very rarely used by anything on the Mac), and the PAUSE and SCROLL LOCK keys to brightness down and up.I would absolutely suggest this adapter above any other generic-branded ones because it was far less expensive than purchasing a current, Mac-compatible Model M-style clicky keyboard from Unicomp ($120 ). You could easily get away with a less expensive adapter for PC/Windows users, but for the money, I'd get this genuine converter and know that you have something that will be practical on a range of PCs. None of the USB-PS2 adapters I had—two generic models and a Logitech model—worked at all with macOS.Getting a REAL converter like this is really wise since, even if you don't care about Mac, I've had lots of USB-PS2 converters over the years, and sometimes they don't even work on certain makes/models of PCs!!!

If you have nosy coworkers like I do, they like to look at your displays as they pass by. Listen, it's none of your concern if I want to spend the entire day on Buzzfeed researching what sort of pizza I am. I eventually spent the money to purchase two privacy screens because I had grown weary of constantly hitting the minimize button in response to any sound of activity in the cubicles behind me. Oh my god, the freedom! These are AMAZING things! These screens are AMAZING because I can practically browse Facebook while my boss is standing to my right and she has no idea what I'm doing. Yes, if someone is directly behind you, they can see your screen, but from any other angle, it looks like the Vin Diesel film PITCH BLACK. As far as my coworkers know, I'm currently working diligently on this review while banging away on the keyboard. If only they were aware;I'll be devastated if my monitors are updated to larger sizes, but I'll happily spend the money on new ones. Definitely worth the money. They are magical, these things.

The DATA receptacle of a Yaesu FT857/897 ham radio will accept this cable. Using a small knife, you'll probably need to slightly trim the plug's outer plastic layer. Not the cable's fault; the Yaesu outlet has a deep recess. Pin to pin continuity on all 6 pins is confirmed. This cable is being used by me for a WSJT-X homebrew interface unit. Comparatively speaking, this is far simpler than attempting to purchase only DIN connections and solder your own cable to the tiny pins.
Yes, you can run a PS2 through HDMI using an adapter.
PS2 to HDMI can improve quality, depending on the HDMI cable and the TV. If you have a good quality HDMI cable and a good quality TV, PS2 to HDMI can improve the quality of your image.
No, the PS2 does not use VGA. The PS2 uses a proprietary video output connection.
PS2 and USB are both types of computer ports. PS2 is the older of the two and is not as widely used as USB. USB is faster and more versatile than PS2.
