These were bought for my Kawasaki KLR 650.They made mounting a windscreen a breeze.There are so many options that I was unsure which to choose, but I took a risk on these and they fit well!Would advise.

For the purpose of adding a threaded connection to a fibreglass or other similar depth material hole, these perform excellently. I tried using them for porcelain, a considerably thicker material, and adding a toilet seat attachment(2) to a failed insert. It goes without saying that my final outcomes were not ideal. To enable the rubber section of this well nut to bunch up and allow it to grasp to the rear side of the hole, the hole material needs to be considerably thinner. I might put it as high as 1/4.Other than that, if used appropriately, these are excellent life savers.

The washers are too big, as others have noted, but they are the appropriate size, thread, etc. You may simply cut these off if you still have the OEM washers. That's the only reason I gave it four instead of five stars because it's not a true OEM replacement.One of mine also had a skull that was somewhat cracked. Thought that was worth noting even if it wasn't a big problem.

These were excellent for attaching the lower door hinges and the windshield hinge to the body. However, they were unable to attach the full-door hinges to the doors. My 2003 Jeep Wrangler has M8 X 1.25 screws. They have the same T40 torx drive and a nearly identical appearance to these common 5/16 in. screws. I have no idea why Chrysler chose to combine metric and standard measurements, but I'm sure it made sense to someone.

In order to fix my oil consumption problem, I fitted this along with an updated valve cover on my 2005 Silverado with the 5.3l V8. In 3,000 miles, I used up two quarts, and on a mountain camping trip, I used even more with large smokey starts. When I opened the can today, there was less than a teaspoon of oil inside, but it prevented it from being burned and affecting my fuel economy. I installed the can to catch anything the new valve cover did not capture, and after 1000 miles, I'm delighted to report that.I would throw away the supplied adapters and purchase NPT pipe fittings in the required size. Even the drain cap at the bottom is straight tapped with no shoulder or taper, thus the only options for a secure seal are NPT fittings and pipe thread. To check the fluid levels, I used a cap and simply unscrewed the entire unit from its attachment. There are no issues or leaks. On a highway journey I had after the installation, my mpg increased from 15 to 20; I can't complain about that!
