I already have a cycle gear "trackside" ramp, but I needed another one so I could walk my 600rr up the ramps and onto my pickup (Ram 1500). Since the Pit Posse ramp was less expensive and had the exact same appearance as the trackside ramp, I decided to get it. I initially mistakenly believed that the ramps were identical, but the Amazon/pit posse ramp is somewhat more arched than the trackside ramp. This is advantageous if you have a full-sized pickup and are concerned that loading it may cause the bottom of your sport bike to scrape against the tailgate. There was a lot of space. It was a breeze for me to carry the bike onto my vehicle. The ramp does feel weak and appears to have some elasticity, which is the only issue I have with it. I doubt I would put my trust in it at 750 lbs.

The only issue with these units is that they are not very wide, so you must ensure you have a straight shot when loading and unloading larger machines. If you don't pay close attention to lining up straight on these ramps, there isn't much room for mistake, and it's easy to run off the edge. Apart from that, I enjoy how well-made they are and how simple it is to fold and carry them thanks to the handles that resemble suitcases. Both the ground end and the truck tailgate hold them securely. These were intended to be used as a wheelchair ramp, but they were too easily knocked off the ramp's sides.

I ultimately purchased a second set of these. I mounted the first set on a set of 2" X 8" boards in accordance with how they are meant to be used. Although the original intent was to drive a lawn tractor up on them so I could easily access the blades, I'm now surprised at how frequently I utilize them. Yes, a cheap lawn tractor—not one of those expensive "drive over" models. Perfectly functional. More often than I thought, I use them to load and unload big items from the SUV. To fit my golf cart into my pickup, I bought these. This past weekend, I got to put them to the test. They are both quite nicely made, strong, and light enough to be carried together without any difficulty. I can fit both of them under my golf cart while traveling when they are folded. I did see a reviewer here mention something about the metal being held together by merely spot welds. I can vouch for the fact that the pair I received has significantly larger welds than merely spots. The welds are exceptionally well done and thick. The cross bars are three-point welded solid aluminum rods. There are multiple massive weld spots on the larger connecting points in the pivot area. I have no concerns regarding the rigidity of these ramps because they are entirely made of aluminum and have huge S.S. nuts and bolts where they fold. good value for the money. Anyone trying to put 1500 pounds or fewer into the back of their truck should use these, in my opinion.In order to add some protection in the unlikely event that one of the stock cables ever fails, I chose to buy additional tailgate supports. It's just peace of mind knowing that my truck, my cart, and I are protected. Just wanted to add that information for anyone using ramps to carry heavy items into their trucks because there is a lot of strain on the stock tailgate cables. Although the steel cables themselves may never fail, the crimped connections at the ends could fail more easily even though the cables themselves are sturdy. I travel in a "Toy Hauler" that I use to transport my Can Am Spyder rear-wheel-drive trike. The transition from the street or parking lot to the ramp door is fairly high, and my trike is extremely low to the ground, so I have to back up the ramp. I bought these ramps so I could use them to load my truck's rear with my wife's Honda scooters. Much better than my old method of trying to raise the scooters.Although they appear to be well crafted, they are nevertheless quite light and portable.When they were delivered, they were very carefully wrapped and free of any dents or blemishes.The ramps' pivoting bolts being loose was the only drawback I could see. I'm not sure why, but perhaps you should tighten them before using the ramps. Although it did not cause any issues, it appeared as though it could need to be replaced and mended if it were to break off after several uses.Overall, this folding ramp is difficult to match for the price.

The 45 minute assembly process was simple, but I spent practically the entire time looking for my sockets and wrenches. When I stand on it where the motorcycle would be (I weigh 186 lbs), it feels sturdy and should be able to support a Yamaha TW200 (278 lbs).Making a better way to attach the ramp for transportation is the only thing I would modify. The tiny wingnuts are a PITA. To get the ramp to stop swaying up and down requires a lot of finger work. For a better answer that was quicker and painless, I would pay $25 extra. Additionally, the anti-wobble attachment is cheap and stretches! About every 10 miles, check! Those 17mm bolts are not going to remain in place.UPDATE: After buying some lockwashers and nuts, I now tighten the anti-wobble bolts and use the nuts to LOCK the bolts so they won't loosen (which they will do when traveling!). Safety issue is resolved. In order for cars following to see my brakes, I have also mounted a trailer light kit onto the rack and plugged it into my trailer outlet. My SUV's lights are severely obstructed by my motorcycle.The very final few inches of the hitch tube's tail end were actually welded on, giving the impression that the tube was too short and needed to be extended. looks stupid. It certainly has adequate strength for a tie-down strap.EDIT: I'm giving the carrier a trailer light kit. My turn signal and brake lights are totally obscured by the motorcycle in the back. At night, this isn't really safe.

You may see my problem below, edited. Since I was content with just a single ramp, this company quickly gave a partial refund (other one is screwed up). You should be good to go as long as you keep your box in good shape till you can inspect your ramps. It is being sold by a reputable brand and has a good design. At this price, you can't anticipate the highest level of quality control, and mistakes do happen. With the ramp, I'm pleased.Original assessment: I welded a hinge at an angle to one of my ramps. The hinge on the ramp wants to tear itself apart as you unfold it because it is welded at an angle. It will open completely, but I'm sure a weld will fail soon. I purchased it to carry dirt motorcycles, therefore I won't be loading them heavily. I was planning to go back, but as soon as I opened my package, it was crushed and torn to pieces. too much trouble Keep your box in good condition if you buy something in case you need to return it.

At the end of the driveway, there is a drop-off located below the curb. Passenger automobiles would rub on the curb edge unless you entered at an angle. These ramps are exactly what we required to address this issue. To increase the driveway's width, we ordered three. They have a channel underneath them that enables water to run through, and they are hefty enough to not require anchoring. As a result, neither debris nor floods occurs around them. We have easily driven several other vehicles, a fully loaded moving truck, over them. They support the weight and remain in place without sagging or shifting.

I used this in my garage to keep my kayak on top of my car. Installation was really simple. It should be noted that the mounting instructions state that the brackets should be spaced 2/3 of the kayak's length apart, but this is incorrect. You should space your mounts about one-third of the kayak's length apart. I measured the 2/3 length and placed them closer together since I believed they were too far apart. For a 10 foot kayak, I mounted roughly 5 feet apart, although it was still further away than I believe is optimum. The straps slipped outward when I attempted to hoist the kayak while it was wet. I secured the straps by tying them together, although installing the brackets closer together would be preferable.Operating the breaking mechanism is a little difficult. I haven't been able to simultaneously lower the kayak's two ends. The only way I can lower the kayak is to bring the rope end almost directly below the break, grab a rope in each hand, pull both ropes toward the center of the kayak, and then slowly raise each hand, alternating, until the kayak is completely lowered.The supplied rope is of really poor quality. My kayak was raised and lowered four times, and I saw substantial fraying (fraying became apparent after the first lift/lower operation). After lifting and lowering the rope twice, I replaced it with a 1/4" nylon braided rope from Home Depot and there are no signs of fraying.This is perfectly functional for the price. I don't worry about it breaking and harming my new car because I use it to store a 60-pound kayak over it.Due to the flawed directions, subpar rope, and subpar mounting hardware, I deducted one point.
