Best Portable Cell Phone Power Banks in 2020

Portable Charger Power Bank 25800mAh Huge Capacity External Battery Pack Dual Output Port with LED Status Indicator Power Bank for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Android Phone,Tablet & etc(Black) Review:

This phone charger comes ready to go and use. I'm pretty impressed with this one. Very heavy duty and well made. Using it on my Samsung 10+phone and it works great.
It comes with a cord for charging the battery pack and some other phones, but I have to attach my charge cord that came with my phone and plug it into the battery pack since it has a different end on it. There are 4 tiny blue lights that lite up on the battery pack to show if your battery pack has a full charge or not.
There are two USB charging ports, so you can charge 2 things at once. I can give my phone a full charge 5 times with this battery pack. The last battery pack I owned only had enough for two charges in it. It takes about 4 hours to charge the battery pack , and does a fast charge on my phone. Very good quality charger, and like that i can take it where I dont have any access to electricity on hiking/camping trips that last a few days to a week, and it wont run out of juice.

Portable Charger Power Bank 【25800mAh】Ultra High Capacity External Battery Pack High-Speed Recharging 2 USB Output with 4 LED Display Battery Phone Charger for Smart Phones,Android Phone,Tablet & More Review:

[Battery] 5/5

Although for the price, you would assume that this battery doesn't work or is at least a bit faulty, but that is DEFINITELY not the case! The battery here is able to charge my 4000 MaH battery 5 times, or at least charge multiple phones at the same time!

[Portability] 5/5

Honestly, this battery isn't too big nor too bulky, it's a great size! (It's a little taller than my 6.67 in. phone) The battery is easy to use (though the only issue is that I had a little issue plugging into the female ports in the beginning, but that is not the case anymore!)

[Value] 5/5

YES! I've been waiting for a portable battery for that price! It offers 25,800 MaH while it's extremely cheap!

[Conclusion] 5/5

I would definitely recommend this product to a friend and literally anyone who needs the extra battery! As a person who's always on the go and never really home except to sleep and recharge, this battery is definitely a helping hand!

Anker PowerCore 13000 Portable Charger - Compact 13000mAh 2-Port Ultra Portable Phone Charger Power Bank with PowerIQ and VoltageBoost Technology for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy (Black) Review:

This is my second Anker PowerCore. I love having the security of all my mobile electronics being easily recharged regardless of where I am. My Galaxy phone has a limited battery life when I am actively on it and I have found myself out and about with no charging capabilities for the last time. I bought a second so that I would always have one in my purse. I keep one of the PowerCores charging overnight so I don't ever have to be without. This new one is slightly larger and heavier so it is better for long travel. Can easily watch movies on my Kindle when traveling on a plane or waiting in an aurport...not always trying to jockey for positions in airports with recharging stations, and don't worry that some evil person has installed something on public charging stations to rip off my info. Hotels that don't have a plug by the bed? Not a problem any more. Safety in having my phone right by me at night when on the road is important to me. This was a great buy for increased peace of mind.

Anker PowerCore 10000, One of The Smallest and Lightest 10000mAh External Batteries, Ultra-Compact Portable Charger, High-Speed Charging Technology Power Bank for Iphone, Samsung Galaxy and More Review:

If you're looking for peace of mind every time you leave the house, this power bank doesn't disappoint. It's the size of a credit card and only a hair heavier than my iPhone 6 making it extremely portable without being bulky and heavy. There's a power button you press which shows how much power is left via 4 blue leds (when it's dead, only one led will flash). You can only charge one device with this power bank but I'm always impressed by how quickly this charges my iPhone 6 (from 10% to near full takes approximately 1 hour). So far, I've been able to charge my phone about 4 times from near empty to full before having to charge the power bank. It comes with a usb cable to charge the power bank itself as well as a drawstring pouch. Since I hate carrying around the long original lightning cable from Apple, I bought the 1 foot "Double Braided Nylon Anker PowerLine+ Lightning Cable" which is the perfect size.

What I love the most about this power bank is how effective it's been. The power bank itself requires at least 2 hours to charge from empty to full but once charged, your phone will charge to full in less time. As a result, I haven't charged my phone using a wall outlet since I bought this power bank more than a week ago. Not having to worry about my phone going dead or being near a wall outlet is the best feeling next to purchasing a new phone.

So if you want a reliable power bank that charges your phone in no time and frees you from being attached to a wall outlet, GET THIS!

Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger, 26800mAh External Battery with Dual Input Port and Double-Speed Recharging, 3 USB Ports for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Android and Other Smart Devices Review:

HISTORY: I have reviewed several Anker products. It seems like every product I buy from them, has been a solid made unit with great features for the money. Plus, Anker has an excellent support staff, and I've even seen their posts on Amazon helping those in need with their device. I've reviewed the Anker 15,000MAH battery, the 5-port wall charger, the 4-panel solar charger, and the 4 port USB 3.0 data hub. Today I am going to be looking at the massive 26,800MAH battery from Anker.

PACKAGING: One of the things that always impresses me about Anker, is that they don't try to invest a bunch of money in fancy looking packaging. Instead, they invest their money in functional packaging that actually protects the product inside. All you need is a knife to remove the protective plastic over the box, and then the box opens up like a shell. The battery is inside a foam bag which is located on top of a smaller box, that contains the protective meshed pouch with the elastic closure, as well as the charging cables.

SIZE: This battery is huge, it weighs in just over 1-pound or 17 ounces. And the dimensions of the battery are, 7-inches long, by 3.1-inches wide, and 0.9 inches deep. This puts the battery in the carry case within a backpack or purse class. Its far too big to be pocket-able, and its also too big for a fanny pack. This type of battery is best served for folks who might suffer power outages for long periods of time. Its also best for those who like to travel, or go hiking. Anker does make smaller batteries that weigh less, have less power capacity, however are more suited for the portable on the go pocket-able types.

CASE: The Hermit Shell case does not come with the battery, however, can be purchased along with the battery. It is highly recommended by other's, and I have to recommend it as well. Its a really well made case with two zippers for enclosure, and also comes with a carabiner, so that you can hang it off your backpack while hiking. Inside the case, there are 2 slots. The bottom slot is used for the battery, and the top meshed slot is used for either storing your phone inside the case to charge, or for storing your charging cables. I prefer to use it for my charging cables.

CABLES: The cables that come with the battery are low quality, which is really surprising considering the price you pay for this flagship battery pack. I however always listen to other people's recommendations, especially when thousands of them agree. So along with the battery and case, I also purchased the twin pack, of the red braided cables from Anker. I am so pleased with these cables, as I am able to unwind them from their coiled state easily, the cables do not fight me. And the cables use high quality USB plugs on them, and use a Velcro tie rap to secure them when coiled, I like that! The charging speed will be increased when using these cables as well, so they are a good buy.

QUALITY: This battery comes with many certifications, and has built in safety features, so as to avoid certain inflammations, as seen from a popular phone maker, who's phone, literally was quite fired up. The battery uses Japanese capacitors on the PCB board, and uses 8-Japanese Panasonic brand, lithium 18650 cells. These are the same battery cells used in many CREE LED flashlights used today, and are also found in many notebook battery packs. The case surrounding the battery is made of anodized aluminum with plastic end caps. Aluminum is great for heat dissipation and ads durability, which I like.

CAPACITY: This battery has a capacity of 26,800-MAH or 96-watt hours, which puts it just bellow the FFA regulations of 100-watt max, for bringing the battery with you on a plane. I've heard that China has stricter policies and they may still confiscate it. The battery can by charged by one cable, but will only provide a 2-AMP charge, and at that rate, it would take 14-hours to charge. By using two of the recommended red braided cables, you will get a 4-AMP charge, which reduces charge time to 7-hours. However, the battery came 75% charged from the factory, as lithium batteries cannot be shipped dead, and so it only took about an hour to top the battery off.

The battery has a max output capacity of 6-AMPS, but can only deliver 3-AMPS per port. 3-AMPS is more then enough for all USB devices today, even the fanciest tablets don't require more then that to charge them. This battery charged my Alcatel Android phone 8-times! It can also charge my Dragontouch Android tablet 4-times. On average use of the battery, you can expect the charge to last a week.

POWER AUGMENTATION: Most people will use these as battery chargers. But did you know that these can be used for power augmentation? For example, my tablet doesn't have the best battery inside it. Depending on what I am doing with the tablet, I can expect anywhere from 5 hours, to 1 hour of use. Using this battery, I can get at least 8-hours of use out of my tablet. However, I am not hooking it up via a standard USB cable, I am using a USB A to DC MINI jack. The reason for this, is because my tablet limits the charge AMPS through the USB port, however, allows for higher AMPS, through the DC charge port. This insures the battery in the tablet, does not drop bellow 100%, while connected to the battery.

The main reason I bought the flagship battery pack, was for power outages. In the Pacific North West, we get major wind storms during the winter time. And every year, the power will get knocked out. Sometimes the power will only be out for 1-minute, other times, 1-day, or 1-week! I live in modern times, we don't live out in the wilderness telling each other camp fire stories and singing coombyaa. I live in the city darnnit, and I need my digital entertainment! I love playing Plants Vs Zombies during a power outage don't you? There is nothing better then slaying zombies with plants while your in the dark, waiting for the power to come back on.

And then when the power does finally come back on, and everything suddenly becomes lighted up like a baseball stadium, no you didn't die and go to heaven, you've just been returned to modern civilization, welcome back.

HEAT: The battery never really gets hot when charging my phone, tablet, or other devices. It however does get warm, when being used as augmented power, for the tablet.

PORTS: This unit has 5-ports on one end of the battery, as well as a power switch on the side, and battery level indicators, in blue, on the front face of the battery. Two of the USB ports are MICRO USB, which are used for the twin cable charging system, to charge the battery. The other 3-ports are standard USB A 3-AMP charge ports, to charge your devices with. As stated before, the battery has a max capacity of 6-AMPS output charge. If using 2-ports at the same time, each device will get 3-AMPS per device MAX. If using all three ports, you can expect the charge rate to drop to 2-AMPS MAX.

If you use an APP on your phone for detecting charge voltage and amperage, and you notice that your phone is only getting a 1-AMP charge, this is not the batteries fault, its your phone's programming, preventing a higher AMP charge to the phone.

CHARGING: I really appreciate all the safety features and technology that go into making these battery packs. One of the features that I love, is that I don't have to turn the battery on, to start charging it. Just plug the cables into it, and it auto turns on, and shows level of charge, all throughout the charge time. I also don't have to worry about turning the battery off after charging. The battery automatically detects when its fully charged, and it will shut itself off. That takes a lot of guess work out when it comes to charging. To use the battery Just press the power button once to turn it on, and hold it down for 6-seconds to turn it off. The battery also has auto shutoff if no charging is being applied to a device for a given amount of time.

CONCLUSION: This is by far, the best battery I've ever owned. If you have a thirsty for power personality, or a device that is power hungry, or you just want bragging rights against your friend, you definitely are going to want this battery pack. It has more then enough power for my needs, and then some. It has all the features I need out of a battery, and not useless ones like an LED light, as seen on previous years models. I recommend that you get the Hermit Shell case with yours, as well as the twin pack of RED braided cables. And I highly recommend this battery from Anker, 5 out of 5!

UPDATE! NOV 22 2019

I wanted to give you guys an update, since I've owned this battery for over a year now. I've read several reviews from people, where they said their battery worked for several months, but then failed. One popular review in particular, stated that their battery lasted 9-months and failed. Good on Anker however, for replacing their battery under warranty! My only guess as to what is going on, is that some people have gotten defective batteries..

I however, haven't had any problems with my Anker 26,800MAH battery pack. It still takes a charge, just as it did before. And it still lasts just as long, just as it did before. Infact, I used it a few months ago, and was able to power my Tablet for up to 3-days, before my battery went down to a single LED! A good rule of thumb when it comes to lithium batteries, when you see the charge indicator get down to a single LED, immediately stop using the battery, and put it on a charge.

Lithium technology shares a common problem with Lead Acid batteries. If you let them sit dead for too long, they will go bad, so just keep them charged, and as long as your battery is not defective, should last you a long time. As far as the actual aesthetics of my battery pack, it still looks the way it did when I bought it, aside from being a bit dusty lol. The battery has never overheated, and there are no strange blemishes on it. The ports are also still functional with no damage.

Ideally, with proper care, lithium technology should last 5-years. Weather or not this battery will last 5-years, will just have to wait and see. But so far its passed the 1-year test. I still stand by with everything I originally said in this review. Its a quality battery pack, and I highly recommend it, 5 out of 5 STARS!

INIU Portable Charger, 10000mAh Power Bank, 4.8A High-Speed 2 USB Ports with Flashlight Battery Pack, Ultra Compact Phone Charger Compatible with Iphone XS X 8 7 6 Samsung Galaxy S9 Note 9 iPad Tablet Review:

So I've been using this charger for a few weeks now and here are some of my thoughts:

1. Sturdy
2. Easy to understand
3. AMAZING design
4. And a decent battery life.

While it doesn't have quick charge, it does its job well if you are in no rush for battery. Im glad it came out sturdy, i'm quite clumsy so its REALLY great that it can survive being dropped. The interface is really easy to understand and the flashlight is just a nice touch. As for the design I couldn't have asked for more, it has a nice rigid grip on the back which for me is really satisfying along with the paw indicator which looks really good. All in all i was satisfied with this product and it would do well for a lot of people.

Portable Charger RAVPower 16750mAh Power Bank, Time-Tested USB Battery Pack with Dual 2.0 USB Ports/Flashlight, 4.5A Max Output Cell Phone Charger Battery for iPhone/Android Devices Review:

Read original review after the update.

Update: So, I receive a random email a few days ago from the vendor. The original battery that i received (several months ago) would charge my phone and bluetooth speaker perfectly, but it wouldn't fully charge my fitbit or bluetooth headphones. They said that they would send out a new unit free of charge & I could keep the old one for a backup. They didn't even ask if i would edit my review.

New replacement came in today, fully charged. I immediately plugged in my headphones and they charged fully. Same result with my fitbit. I'm not really one to complain or anything, it did charge my phone which was the main reason I bought it. But its nice to have the option to charge anything, just in case. Many thanks to the vendor, it's much appreciated.

Original review:

I can charge my Samsung S7 3 or 4 times before needing to recharge the unit. It takes a while to recharge, but I simply plug it in in the evening and it's ready to go in the morning.

Crappy thing is that it will only charge my phone and my Bluetooth speaker. If I plug in my fitbit, it'll charge for 30 seconds then stop. If I plug in my wireless headphones, it'll stop at about 90%. Really kinda sucks. Not sure if it's just the design or a defective battery.

I suppose it's ok, but it isn't as good as it should be.

Portable Charger Anker PowerCore 20100mAh - Ultra High Capacity Power Bank with 4.8A Output and PowerIQ Technology, External Battery Pack for iPhone, iPad & Samsung Galaxy & More (Black) Review:

Pretty disappointed. It hasn't even been 6 months, and one of the ports don't charge anymore. TBH, after doing some review reading, I was excited about this charger. I bought one for myself and one for my friend. I'm not sure how his is doing or how often he uses it (I don't think that should matter regarding the ports, I can understand if the battery dies over time....hopefully not a short amount of time). I usually use it over the weekends, and took it on another weekend trip to find my self short a charging port. Definitely annoyed!

EDIT 11/08/16: I was contacted by their customer service team the following day after writing this review. Their team was very pleasant to deal with and quick with their responses. Within a day or two, they've already sent out a replacement for the faulty PowerCore 20100 I purchased a couple of months ago! If all goes well, I'll be updating this review again! Great customer service from Anker!

EDiT 2/16/17: Anker's customer service is second to none! The replacement works as it should, but the wire would not charge the PowerCore. After contacting their customer service team again, they were happy to replace the faulty wire sent with the replacement PowerCore. Great company that cares about their customers. I just wish products nowadays lasted longer, but regardless, I'll be buying their products again.

Anker PowerCore 5000 Portable Charger, Ultra-Compact 5000mAh External Battery with Fast-Charging Technology, Power Bank for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy and More Review:

If you often find yourself in situations where your phone battery dies during the worse times, or often on-the-go and do not have the time to sit beside an outlet waiting for your phone to charge, product may be for you. Because of this product’s portability, you can charge your phone anywhere without having to wait around. Such as, if you were at an outdoor location like an amusement parks, state fairgrounds, or if you go off hiking or camping.

Design Description
Along with this product includes a micro-USB cable (used for charging this product) and a travel pouch. The design is sleek, simple, and easy to understand. It is a tube-like structure, and may be stored either standing upright or within the travel pouch.
On the side of the product contains 3 LED lights, which light up when you are using or charging this product.
The size is smaller than a 12-fl. oz. Sprite can. It is light, making this product convenient to carry since it does not add any significant weight if you’re planning on walking around a lot. And is hardly noticeable when packing it in your purse, pocket, or backpack pouch.

Charging Ability
If you ever need to check how full this product is, there is a button next to the 3 lights you may push. It will indicate battery power, then turn itself off. The lights indicate how much battery is charged up when lit. 3 lights indicate full battery. While 1 bright light will indicate low battery. The charging ability is quite fast; I have an Iphone6 and brought it from low battery to full charge within few hours.

Durability
Overall, it is well put together. There are not any loose pieces surrounding the product which is helpful if you are carrying this product in a bag or pocket. It can handle being tightly or loosely packed with other belongings without worry of it falling apart for any reason. Since this is an electronic battery, it does have the ability to break if it is handled recklessly, and is not water resistant. However, under normal circumstances, occasional clumsiness or accidental splashes of water are not likely to cause any major damages to this product.

Through my personal experience, as a person always on the go (and on the phone), I have been satisfied with this product through its efficiency and making charging my phone more convenient when I’m on the go.

Aibocn Power Bank 10,000mAh External Battery Charger with Flashlight for Phone iPad Samsung Galaxy Smartphones Tablet - Upgraded Review:

**Update 5/27/17** Since reviewing this item previously, I am going to change my review mainly based on the customer service I received. The company contacted me after my review because I was experiencing the plug heating up excessively. They said they were going to send a replacement to me and they did just that! I received it quite quickly and it worked perfectly. They didn't even want the other one returned which was surprising. I used the new one last night on my GS7 and it charged up quickly. I love this product and absolutely love their customer service. I will, without a doubt, purchase from them again and feel I will never be disappointed. Thank you so much for your amazing team.

Haven't had to use it since I just received but it looks like a well made product. Came with a 75% charge already and charging it fully took approximately 4 hrs. The adapter I used was a little warm to the touch while charging but I suppose that's to be expected. When I finally get to use it, I will change my rating if all goes well.
