When they use the term "bare tool," they really mean it. Although it does claim in the specs part that it comes with a battery, it doesn't. At the very end of the description, it does state that the batteries, AC converter, and charger are sold separately. I have batteries and chargers since I use DeWalt power tools. To leave out the ACC plug for use in cars, however, is a disservice to the customer and DeWalt's reputation for high-quality products. Every other portable air compressor I examined had an ACC plug for vehicles. Given that the battery and charger aren't included, it makes sense to expect that this one would have an ACC cord. Hence, the rating of 4. The compressor functions well and has some wonderful capabilities, however you cannot use it right out of the box if you do not already have some 20V DeWalt equipment. I can retain it as I have drills, a grinder, a vacuum, and saws from the 20V collection, but come on DeWalt, include the ACC chord!

I made the decision to order it after reading several favorable reviews about it. I conducted some research and discovered that the majority of 6-gallon pancake compressors were 1 to 1.5 HP. The advertisement for this one, the specification list, or the manual did not mention the horsepower rating. Finally, I visited the firm website and emailed them to inquire about the HP rating. When I got their reply the following day, I was surprised to see that it only had 0.8 HP. I made the decision to let its performance speak for itself after that. Two days later, it arrived (quick!). I turned it on after reading the directions and timed how long it took to reach its maximum (150 psi). I was taken aback because it simply took about 3 minutes! After installing the hoses and tire filler, I checked the pressure gauge after a half-hour to be sure there had been no obvious pressure drop. After topping off my car and truck's tires, I let the pressure out of the tires. I then flipped the unit over and upside down to check its general quality, including the weldment, materials, components, and workmanship. It appears to be solid and well manufactured, and it clearly handles its power well enough to arrive and sustain its pressure rating. I was a Quality Assurance Specialist for the US Department of Defense until I retired. I would have no issues signing and stamping this item if I were to inspect it for acceptance on a government contract. Bottom line: That (sale) pricing is great for an excellent compact compressor!

I don't often write reviews, but I feel forced to in this instance. I'll tell you why.The Kensun arrived quite quickly after I ordered it two weeks ago. The ratings for this tiny device were excellent, but I've never been a fan and had no desire to have a gas-powered compressor in my garage. Therefore, it appeared as though this device would work. The tiny bag it comes in is convenient, and the packaging and craftsmanship both appeared to be of a high caliber. My car's tires required air after three weeks of being abroad, especially one on my larger sedan whose pressure was so low that I was unable to take it to the gas station to fill them. I was therefore eager to connect the Kensun and handle business. After following the instructions, nothing happened. The device would turn on, operate for two seconds, then turn off. Without success, I tried it on three different tires, switched from AC to DC and back, disconnected, reset, and other things. You may imagine that I was a little irritated given that I was unable to move one of my cars. returned the item the following day and posted a negative review.Not even two days after my negative encounter, Gary from Kensun customer support emails me to apologize. He pointed me that I might have purchased a lemon and that even automobiles retailing for $30,000 sometimes contain them. Then, in an effort to confirm that this was the fact, he requested that they give me another unit. I accepted his offer. This wasn't just some meaningless sales pitch. In addition to sending me another unit, he asked that I get in touch with him and let him know how things were going.Well, I just got the device, and guess what? It works perfectly! It had been a lemon, and Gary was right; I had been hasty in my assessment. I'll be the first to make something right when it's wrong. I'm overjoyed to now own one of these tiny devices because they deliver on their promises. Excellent customer service, which is rare these days. Having this kind of response and execution was welcome. gives the brand even more of my trust, earning it five well-deserved stars. Gary and Kensun, thank you for handling everything so expertly!The one little gripe is that the LCD display needs to be at a very certain angle in order to be readable; it's not a big concern, but it is a little inconvenient. I enjoy reading all of the unfavorable reviews before buying a product. I was a little worried after reading the reviews on this compressor that it would not work, but I took a chance because, to be honest, I am completely broke and the price was good. Additionally, I was certain that Amazon would put it right if it was as horrible as some claimed.Leaks were the subject of some unfavorable reviews: This issue has not occurred to me. All I can say is that you shouldn't have any leaks unless you receive a damaged item and if you know how to apply thread tape (provided). If I don't use the compressor after charging it to 110 pressure, the next day it will remain be 110 psi.There have been some unfavorable comments concerning loudness as well: "Yes, it is loud." It isn't any louder than I anticipated, though. According to the reviews, I would need ear protection to get past it. All I can think of is that their compressor was broken or that they never listen to their music on channel 11:-)This was my buy for a nail gun. It does a fantastic job. It takes less than 6 minutes to get from empty to 110 psi, and I can obtain at least 40 nails every 110 psi charge. As the job continues, moving it is simple due to its little weight. Take a brief coffee break while it recharges after about 40 nails. It is an excellent price for such a nice compact compressor.I'm not sure how well it will function in other situations, but for DIY projects at home, particularly those requiring a nail gun, it works flawlessly. It has my support since I'm amazed!
