Yes, you can use a wire brush on concrete pools. Just make sure to brush in the same direction as the grain of the concrete.
Yes, you should backwash your pool after vacuuming. This will help remove any debris that may have been left behind and ensure that your pool is clean and ready for use.
Yes, vacuuming a pool does get rid of algae. Algae is a type of plant that can grow in pools of water that is not properly maintained. When algae grows in a pool it can make the water appear green. Algae can also make the pool smell bad.
If you are having trouble getting rid of tough algae in your pool, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure you are using the right chemicals. Algae can be resistant to some chemicals, so you may need to use a different type or brand. Second, increase the amount of chlorine in your pool. This will kill the algae and make it easier to brush away. Finally, brush the algae away with a stiff brush. Be sure to brush in the direction of the pool's circulation to avoid stirring up the algae and making it harder to remove.

This is my third pool brush from Amazon because I recently purchased a house with a seriously neglected pool. This one appears to be very durable. I previously purchased an orange and blue circular brush, but it was useless in getting rid of the awful algae that covered my 27000-gallon concrete pool. With these strong bristles, I'm expecting it would help a lot more. I will have to update after using this because I am working with a pool whose bottom I cannot yet see, but it cannot possibly hurt given that the other brushes don't accomplish anything. For anybody who are struggling with the same issue, I will provide an update. For context, my walls are fiberglass and my floor is concrete. I've been advised that this is acceptable for everything but vinyl, so please wait for the update and let's hope it's truly helpful. In our pool, we really want to swim!Updated and awarded five stars!I went outside and scrubbed my pool's awful walls, and practically all the stains came off! With my other two brushes, nothing moves! The brush is fantastic! If you have my style of pool, do not purchase any other brush other than this one! Sadly, those who use vinyl liners can drain and install new liners, however we cannot do so with concrete.

Vinyl brush does what it is supposed to do even if it is really light and not robust. This takes the place of another item that I used for a while and has a fin on it to exert more pressure. It does a good job of getting around corners. I didn't need to use it much because I bought it early in the season. While some pressure is required, especially for tough dirt, it is considerably simpler to move in the water than the fin variant. Which will suit you the best actually depends on personal preference. If the product felt more substantial, sturdy, or "solid" in the hand, I would give it five stars; however, nothing immediately suggests that it won't last for a few seasons.

I don't own a pool, either. In a heavy downpour, my four-car garage flooded, leaving 1/8" of fine silt bonded to the polished concrete floor. It appeared to be tiny grit combined with Krazy Glue. Any broom would not bother it. Days of exhausting labor were spent scraping it with a flat-ended shovel and cleaning it with a standard push broom. I looked around for something with wire bristles out of exhaustion and desperation and discovered this brush. I took a flyer on it because it seemed appropriate and was priced quite affordably. It didn't have a handle pole when it came three days later (which is noted in the product description). I tried it right away outside in the garage. A huge relief! The silt was loose after two very light passes and was ready to be blown out with a leaf blower.I had hoped to make a handle out of an old mop or broom, but it turned out it wasn't going to work, so I got the shortest, cheapest pool pole on Amazon. The pain of having to pay more for the pole was lessened by understanding how nicely the brush operated.Thank you from me, my back, my arms, and my entire body. I would continue be cleaning the garage for the next month if not for this brush. Please include this brush to the list of general cleaning supplies on Amazon. Much more than just a pool brush, actually.

I really enjoy this brush because I've been seeking for one to remove the algae off our cement bird bath. The bristles are exactly the right amount of flexible, making it easy to hold. If it weren't for the fact that it loses bristles as you scrub, I'd give this a five-star review. Not that I'm hard to please, but the amount of bristles lost per use portends poorly for the brush's durability. The loss is slower than it was with the last brush from a different brand, which is a plus. I believe the brush will be ideal if Aquatix can resolve this problem.

I mainly bought this brush to move the water off a pool cover so that it could be pumped off. I had a lot of nasty spots in my pool when my pool sweep failed, which I cleaned with this brush. Then, I discovered a large number of bristles in my pool sweep's bag that I had never seen before. It works nicely for the pool cover, which is all I'm going to use it for for the time being.I'll have to wait and see how long it lasts, but because it's so cheap, I think I can still benefit from it even if it just lasts a year or two.

My parents have had a pool for a very long time, and as they age, I was cleaning it up a few weeks ago when that damn dry rot long pool brush broke on me. Since my parents are too poor to afford the cool robot, I had to assist them by obtaining a new one. I decided that I would go through these more quickly because I didn't want to spring for the ridiculous pool store ones or pay so much more, but who knows whether this actually occurred. He was good, so I could leave on the cheap. Oh my God, this thing is even amazing than I had anticipated. This is their second product that I've purchased, and both have been fantastic. Despite being lightweight, this item is incredibly sturdy when compared to the previous, exorbitantly priced one I purchased. It actually had a tiny bit of flex, but man, that just makes it better. When pulling out of the pool, the brostles are stiff enough to scrape with but not enough to really drag through the water. The only warning I have is that you are only getting the head. There is no pole, but you probably still have it. difficult to break those.

It has the same bristles all the way across the brush but does not have flexible ends. I've discovered that brushes with flexible ends have different bristles there, and the chlorine damages those end bristles. When you brush the pool and a lot of brushes break off, you don't realize it right away, and cleaning them up is a real nuisance. My last brush experienced the same problem, so I decided to cut the ends off of it so I could use it for finer details like brushing the cornices and steps. Additionally, this brush features a tiny fin that pushes it onto the sides for greater cleaning. Compared to my previous brush, which started to lose bristles after just one season, I believe this one will last longer.

This brush is excellent. My gunite pool is simple to scrub thanks to the mixture of stainless bristles. It seems to be fairly strong, and none of the bristles have fallen out thus far (an issue with some of the other brands that I have purchased in the past). In the future, I'll update to reflect its durability. The additional clips are a wonderful bonus, and this brush fit my normal pool extension pole with ease.

This brush is great. Because of how wonderfully it is manufactured, I believe it will survive a lot longer than my last one. Brushing the tile near the water line, where dirt has a tendency to dry and stay firmly, was one of the nicest things I discovered. With just a rapid side-to-side brushing motion while walking around the pool, this did a quick and nasty job of eliminating the most of this debris. You should be informed of these two things before purchasing this, which is why I took away a star. 1. The brush is heavy, which is to be expected, but the weight of the brush on a pole adds up. When brushing sides, it is heavier to raise, and when brushing flat surfaces, it is heavier to bring back. 2. When it rubs, it grabs, increasing resistance. It actually resists enough to halt you mid-stroke, especially when brushing down flat surfaces. I'll get used to it, but just so you know

If you have a pool, you know that it can be a lot of work to keep it clean. One of the most difficult parts of pool maintenance is scrubbing the sides of the pool. Over time, the sides of the pool can become covered in dirt, algae, and other debris. This can make the pool look dirty and can be difficult to remove. There are a few different ways that you can scrub the sides of your pool. One way to scrub the sides of your pool is to use a brush. There are a variety of different brushes that you can use,
The most common way to clean a pool is by using a pool vacuum. This vacuum is attached to a hose, which is then connected to the pool’s filtration system. The vacuum sucks up debris from the bottom of the pool and traps it in the hose.
It is recommended that you brush your pool at least once a week.
You should put bleach in your pool about once a week.
