replaced a model that could be adjusted but kept pinching the darn doors. It was starting to annoy me.purchased this model. Doors fit wonderfully. not mobile like the adjustable kinds. When tightened down, the carpet bows out somewhat.The only issue is that the supplied screws were too short for carpeted floors and the screw head is visible outside the screw hole. If they had a screw cover that you could click on to cover the screws after installation, that would be wonderful. Alternately, add two parallel screw holes on the inside and none on the outside. would appear a million times better. Still, it functions.does a good job.

has served us well as a collar. It's important to know what channel your remote connects to; my wife had trouble figuring it out. Ours connects on channel 3, so check for the display that has charge bars on the controller and collars. By pressing the button while placing 2 fingertip on the prongs, I test ours on myself. It aids me in determining whether it will attract my dog's interest and whether his current behavior justifies it. We have had no issues with it so far, and the charge lasts a very long time—the controller display still shows 4 of the 5 bars after 4 days. Since it is winter and everything is frozen up here, I haven't tried it in the water. I'll try to remember to update after the snow and ice melt.

Although it is referred to as a "2 door set," there is only enough hardware for ONE BIFOLD DOOR, which is made up of two panels joined by hinges. Order two repair kits if your system includes two bifold doors, which is the norm. I knew this in advance, but it's not explained clearly enough for the "common public" to comprehend. I only utilised a handful of the elements of the package, but they all worked without any problems.

I made a mistake and got myself into trouble. I have never before installed bi-fold closet doors. On my first one, I hammered in this device and, alas and behold, I did it incorrectly and broke the metal pin through the plastic, rendering it useless.Tensions were high, we had a deadline to sell the house, and, if you know what I mean, I WAS IN TROUBLE halfway through a home remodel. haha Unhappy, the boyfriend, was.Our fairytale came to a happy conclusion when we ordered this replacement with 2-day shipping.As a final piece of advise, hold the metal component with a pair of long-nosed pliers as you drive this pin into the desired location.

I took around two hours to install this on my own. The time it took me to buy longer screws from the hardware shop was not included in that. I'll begin by saying that. Although I can't speak for all doors, if you look at one of the photos I took, you'll notice that my old channel has a groove in it because my door's bottom isn't flat. The supplied screws were insufficient in length to secure the new channel to the bottom of my door. I had to quickly run to the neighborhood hardware store to buy screws that were about 1/4 inch longer. I've seen it mentioned that you need to drill holes into the channels in advance. Unless you attempted to manually install something, that is not the case. The supplied screws are self tapping, so if you use a power driver they will go straight through the aluminum pan and into your door without needing any holes to be drilled first. I ultimately chose to use 1 inch #8 self tapping screws. I had to use all four panels because my door is 16 feet long. To preserve the factory-finished edge on both ends, I erected two of the 4.5' sections uncut, and I reduced the length of the remaining two parts to 3.5'. It came together fairly easily. The gray tape held the channels in place while I secured them, which was great. I was able to complete this task alone and maintain the channels' alignment to ensure that the overhang on either side of the door was equal. Feeding the weatherstripping was the most difficult aspect, but as you can see from the photographs, I raised the door high enough that I could fit it between the wall and the door's track. At first, it was smooth sailing, but once I passed the halfway point, I had to push a little bit harder before going down to the other end and stretching it out a bit. So, in total, installing the bottom weatherstripping took about 30 minutes. When it came time to apply the weatherstripping, the imperfections from the package did not appear to have an impact on it. Before installing it, I did unroll it and let it lay outside for about an hour at 70 degrees in my home. The bottom of the door still has some spaces between it and the ground. My garage door opener's tracking needed to be adjusted, but it didn't fix the issue, so I'll have to check to see if the tiny metal track that protrudes on either side of the bottom of the door is coming into touch with any other components of the garage or the garage door mechanism. Overall, the purchasing price was justified. I'm relieved that it still cost less than having the weatherstripping replaced for me by a professional.

I've done a few garage door installations and repairs on my own, and I've always been careful to safeguard and insulate the garage. This bottom of the garage door is a minimum requirement. I've used various things, but none are as good as this for a DIY. The basic rubber choice costs around $10–$15 less, making the additional expense worthwhile.PROS:- Amazon: affordable- Delivered promptly as anticipated (was available where none were at the hardware store)- IT WORKS: significantly improved water containment and increased flexibility in the event of debris- Guards the garage door's bottom (if wood, limits risk of rot)- Appears tidy and effectiveCONS:- The package was excessive (waste of trees)- To fit the garage door, I had to reduce the track by 1/4 inch.- Needs a little handiwork, but- This rubber is not of the greatest quality; it will be tested in very cold temperatures. There will be drill slippage even if the provided screws hold the object in place because of the unusual angles (do not do this by hand)- Apply a sealant to the side of the garage door's track.- Insert a rubber tube to test it; you might need to temporarily remove the bottom hinge to make room for the tube.- After installing the first half of the track, pull the rubber tube through and then install the second track.

My home's rusted-out bottom pool door was wonderfully fixed by this. Since the repaired door was an external door and 30 years old, the bottom edges were rusty and did not create a tight seal against the frame weatherstripping, allowing light and air to enter. This may be quickly and easily cut with a hacksaw and tapped into position with a rubber mallet. I was going to look into replacing the door, but it would be extremely expensive since it would be a custom project due to the door's unusual size. With this in place, the door also became considerably more rigid. If you want to prevent water from getting between this and your door, make sure to use silicon caulking around the edges and screw holes.

Due to the quality, weight, and ease of use of this Dynasty set compared to the Kwikset Privacy set that was previously installed, I decided to replace it. My opinions on why I prefer the Dynasty matching passage set over the Kwikset set are outlined in a separate assessment of the Dynasty matching passage set. To finish my conversion, all I need is the availability of the Dynasty set X 2. The finish, smoothness of operation, and solidity of the body barrel housing the mechanism are all far superior to the Kwikset, which is made of stamped steel and is pieced together in a less robust and substantial way.
