Original Light Filtering Pleated Paper Shade White, 48” x 72”, 6-Pack Review:

I've never bought a "Paper Shade" in my life, so I was VERY hesitant about these shades because I wasn't sure the paper would be sturdy enough. I made the decision to give them a try after reading reviews. To make sure the shades would stay there, I also purchased 1-inch by 50-inch rolls of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Mounting Tape. They were easy for me to reduce to the ODD sizes I required. The four windows in my dining room are divided into two larger ones in the middle and two smaller ones on either side. I was able to remove about 4 inches from two more shades to suit the center windows, and I was able to cut one shade in half and use those two pieces in each side window. It was easy to install these. Measure your window and cut it out with an Exacto knife or sharp scissors. Simply put them up after removing the strip covering the adhesive strip (I did this and added the 3M Double Sided Tape). All six of these curtains have clips that you can attach to the bottom of the shade to allow you to raise and lower it without touching the paper. Considering that I am completely disabled, it took me an hour to hang all 4 shades. But I didn't want to wait for my husband to get home from work because I was eager to see them up.Actually, I'm quite impressed with these sunglasses. They appear fantastic! Unless you approached them directly and felt them, you wouldn't know they were made of paper. They are unquestionably a paper of good grade. I had to pay a fortune for these hideous, hideous plastic mini blinds since they were such strange sizes, and these Paper Shades make it seem like I spent even more!Although they do not "Block" light, they do filter it. Compared to when I had the plastic micro blinds, I now have more light. It has a really lovely "glow." I like that they are cordless and don't have handles or strings. They don't completely block out the light while offering perfect privacy—no one can look in or out.The price on Option 1 is what I enjoy the best, though. Where can I find 6 hues for less than $40? Second, I can accomplish this on my own! Quickly, too! AND without assistance from anyone. And to someone like me who relies on others for practically everything, that strikes me as rather fantastic!Give these a go without a doubt!

Achim Home Furnishings 123RD48B24 1-2-3 Shade Blind, 48" x 75", Black Review:

I had some reservations about how wonderful these would be based on the reviews. if they could be used permanently or if they were only temporary. the amount of light they block. Or even if they would last at all.Despite being made of thin vinyl, they are thick enough to effectively block some light. I used the one 46" window I had received to take some shots of my front window before the 12 pack of 36" windows showed up a few days later. You can kind of tell these shades apart from metal micro blinds. I also added a photo of all three windows updated because the small side windows are always a little brighter due to light reflecting between the slender white walls of their frames. Although there is a noticeable improvement, if you're hoping for blackout, this is not it. My home is much darker than it used to be. Additionally, I've discovered that it keeps the house cooler. The inexpensive paper black sunglasses I purchased at the same time are also mine. I concealed them behind these shades and utilized them to completely darken my bedrooms. There is a HUGE difference in quality and durability! The paper versions are really effective at blocking light, but they are incredibly flimsy and would not last at all.Due to the age of my windows and the fact that none of their frames are square or the same size, I had ancient bespoke metal mini blinds that would have cost a fortune to replace. Some have errors of up to 2 inches. These were really simple to cut to size and hang. Since I've had them up for almost a month, I've come to the conclusion that they work great as permanent shades. It even worked well after being chopped in half to cover my 9" side windows. I simply took care not to sever the interior cord. I then added some rubber to the cone end caps on the string so I could still elevate them if necessary. The rubber provides sufficient traction to prevent them from falling. However, because I haven't yet created a new hole for the cord on the bottom, the cord exits through the side rather than the bottom. It's okay as long as I keep opening them. The ones I installed on my french doors have withstood my dog's tails banging them extremely nicely. They may wrinkle slightly if you open them too quickly, but they are strong enough to be lowered and opened more slowly, returning to their original shape after being raised and flattened slightly. just like new! The adhesive appears to be performing well as well. They are also not a true white. When the sun shines directly on them, they have a blue tint, but when it shines indirectly, they have a beautiful beige color. Although it seems a little unusual, I don't notice it because there is nothing white surrounding them. They might stand out if they were mounted on a white wall.duplicate review for both the 12-pack and the single that I purchased simultaneously. Please disregard the messy furnishings in the images. My house doesn't stay tidy for very long because of the sleeping English Mastiff in one of the pictures.:-)

LUCKUP 3 Pack Cordless Light Filtering Pleated Fabric Shade,Easy to Cut and Install, with 6 Clips (36"x72" - 3 Pack, Black) Review:

My room is darkened by these blackout blinds, which prevent light from entering and allow me to rest comfortably. They require only a 3M strip to adhere to the wall, making installation incredibly simple. It was easy to put on and didn't require any cutting. I simply placed these in front of the regular blinds I already had on my window sill. The instructions are awful and of absolutely no assistance, which is a drawback. The included clips are useless. I wish there was a way to roll them up or hang them to let the light through.Overall not bad for a dormitory or college roomHere are some recent images showing how it actually appears. The black clips it comes with make it convenient to stay up, making the purchase well worth it! Undoubtedly a quick method for making a light area dark

Original Blackout Pleated Paper Shade Black, 36” x 72”, 6-Pack Review:

Amazing. Quick repair for the baby's room's light obstruction. completely obstructs the light coming in from the baby's room's two windows. Additionally, the tape is rather robust and has fasteners to hold the shade up or roll it up as needed. Would strongly advise. The photo shows a window with a shade on the left and simply closed blinds on the right during the day.

Original Blackout Pleated Paper Shade Black, 48” x 72”, (Pack of 6) Review:

These have completely changed my life! Since I've been working shifts for more than 12 years, I haven't discovered a practical, attractive, and economical way to darken my room for daytime sleep. I've used everything from roller shades to tiny blinds to curtains and panels that darken the space. I've discovered that the most hideous-looking way to block light is with cardboard and blankets. The ones that are more aesthetically acceptable (blinds, shades) unavoidably let blinding light rays in that always manage to locate my face. Over the past five years, I've let aesthetic appeal take precedence over practicality, but I've finally had enough. So I started looking for a solution and found these colors on a few different websites. These paper shades are advertised as being "temporary." To attach them to your window frame, they are just a very long sheet of thick, pleated, black construction paper with a tape strip on top. They are simply folded up or down to the desired level and then secured in place by two black clips; there is no roller or pull cord action (they are included and are much like chip-clips). To install them, all you need to do is measure the size of your window opening and use a box cutter or other sharp object to cut the shade. The shade is sufficiently flexible that I only needed to hold it up into the opening, bend the excess shade portion outward, and then mark my cut with a white crayon. They were trimmed to size with many swipes of the blade after I used a straight edge to keep my position. You can now attach it in place after removing the strip covering the glue. I fastened mine to the window pane's interior metal frame. My shades were taken down, although it wasn't required. Behind them, these shades would have been a perfect suit. The cutting and installation of three shades took a total of 20 minutes. Now, I'll admit that my color schemes play a factor in why these work so well for me. There is a lot of gray, purple, and black in my bedroom. To all of that, the black shades that are visible serve as an accent. If not, I'm sure I would have left my blinds open to block out the shades from the inside. My house has gray siding and black shutters on the outside, so from the outside it appears that my black roman shades match my external colors as well.I'm amazed with the capacity to block light, I have to admit. On one wall, I have a single window, and on another, a double window. Nothing but darkness can be seen through my lone window. My double window has a small bit of light coming through the middle, but when the curtains are drawn, they seem to trap the majority of the remaining light.I can't yet comment on the shade's durability, but I'll give an update if that changes. But considering how well they work and how inexpensive they are ($6 apiece), I wouldn't even mind if I occasionally had to replace them or reinforce the tape. For more information, please see the photographs that are attached (if I can figure out how to attach them). The pictures were taken on a sunny afternoon in St. Louis at around 4 o'clock, a few minutes apart. Both the lights in my house and the camera's flash were off.

Original Light Filtering Pleated Fabric Shade White, 36” x 72” Review:

These hues are AMAZING. Even superior to the $40 window treatments. We needed cordless blinds because our cats tore apart and damaged our old blinds. These are flawless in every respect:1. They allowed light to pass! Our flat isn't as dim and gloomy during the day, or at night, for that matter. It truly DOES screen the light! This trait surprised me, but I'm delighted to have it.2. No one can look inside! Additionally, you are unable to see outside. Excellent lighting and total privacy.3. Cost-effective! I prefer this $12 shade or blind over any other, whether pricey or not.4. Installation is SO EASY! We simply eyeballed the length we required, used a kitchen knife to trim off about 2-4" (scissors would have cut unevenly due to the thickness), peeled off the top, and attached in to the tops of the windows. Nothing has fallen, broken, or caused any issues.5. CATERPILLAR! Since there are two clips holding the blinds in place, they won't break before the cats can damage them in any manner. One time I saw him push his head through the side, but the clip popped off and the shades were unharmed.6. The stretch following the initial usage. We clip the bottom "slat" of the shades to the narrow section of the window (the area where you would move your fingers either way and unhinge the window to open the window), and it works beautifully! I clip them up in the morning and down at night. Because it is too thick for the clip otherwise, you must only clip the bottom portion if you want it to stay.Overall, we are thrilled with our blinds/shades! Strongly advised to everyone, especially considering that you can cut them however you choose!

Original Light Filtering Pleated Paper Shade White, 36” x 72”, 6-Pack Review:

These window coverings are intended to be more than just a temporary remedy for my bedroom and bathroom. I acquired new windows, but there wasn't enough trim left over for me to drill brackets to my trim so that my current blinds would fit inside the windows. Without nullifying the warranty, I could not drill into my windows. These offered the solution. Because I wanted them to be permanent, I bought 3M heavy duty double sided tape for added sticking power. I could not be more pleased with the value. They have a lovely appearance, and if I take care of them, they should last for a very long time. Additionally, I have an extra pair because there are six in the box but I only need three. It was simple to cut and install them. I won't care if I had to replace them every year or so. They're probably going to last longer.I adore the clips, and I have mine set up in the shape of a moon at the bottom, using two clips on broader windows and just one clip on my narrow window.

Easy Lift Trim-at-Home Cordless Pleated Light Blocking Fabric Shade White, 48 in x 64 in, (Fits windows 31"- 48") Review:

These precise shades were purchased by me more than four years ago, and they served my purposes reasonably well (my kids bedrooms). Despite not being completely blacked out, they kept the rooms rather gloomy. Depending on how tightly you adjust the shade to fit the window, some light may filter through the sides, and a few drops of light may also pass through the tiny holes where the cord passes through the shade (allowing it to rise and fall)... but overall, these shades are very useful and perform admirably. The majority of them—half of the six—have held up nicely over the past four years, but I recently had to replace three of them because my boys, who are now 9 and 11 years old, were a little too rough with them. Every day, they open and close them, so occasionally, in a hurry, they would pull or press too firmly or pinch the bottom. They were worth the money to me compared to normal blinds that let in considerably more light, so I repurchased them.I found two POSITIVE changes between the ones I originally bought and the ones I got last week... 1) Rather from being broader in the middle just, the bottom (where you draw and push up the shade) is wider all the way around, which should help them last longer. 2) These had bottom end caps, whereas my earlier ones lacked them; I'm hoping it adds a little to the stability.Additionally, kindly take note that the pre-measurements on the top, which are intended to make it easier to size and cut your shade, are incorrect when cutting your shades. On either side, they are off by half an inch! When I cut my first shade, it was too tiny for the window since I want the shades tight to the inside of the glass, reducing the amount of light that comes through (too much light getting through). Be sure to double-check the measurements if you want yours to fit snugly because I've already completed my exchange request through Amazon.
