OSTENT 16GB Memory Card Stick Storage for Sony PS Vita PSV1000/2000 PCH-Z081/Z161/Z321/Z641 Review:

Although it could appear to be a copy, this is a genuine Sony PS Vita memory card. Simply photo-shopped off of the store image is the Sony branding. I was instructed by my Vita to format the memory card before using it because it had allegedly been used and contained previous data. It works perfectly now that I've formatted it, but I've never discovered what was previously saved on the card. For only half as much as the authorised Sony alternative, you can get a functional vita memory card. If you're looking for one, it's a simple decision.

PlayStation Vita Memory Card 64GB (PCH-Z641J) Review:

First things first: I abhor Sony's patented price gouging with a burning fury. You can get a good 120GB SSD for this much money. But I digress. When you check this card's storage capacity on the Vita, it will show 59GB. At the conclusion of this review, I've provided an explanation of why your card would initially display 59GB. For those of you who don't want to read the entire thing, 59GB is what is presented; this is neither erroneous nor is declaring that it is 64GB incorrect; it's simply a typical deceptive approach in the market for digital storage nowadays.Despite being an import from Japan, this card functions flawlessly on PS Vitas made in the USA. What you are purchasing is not a card that has been localized for North America; rather, it is a direct import from Japan. It works perfectly when I use it on my NA PCH-2000 and play games from it. The amount of data on this card makes it a much better value than all the other cards, and unless you're an avid Vita player with an absurdly large collection of PSN downloads, you'll never actually fill this thing. It only took up 9GB of space to store 5 PS Vita titles (Borderlands 2 with all DLC, Gravity Rush, Uncharted, Soul Sacrifice, and WipEout 2028) and 3 PSone classic games (Front Mission 3, FFVII, and FFVIII). You can get by with the 32GB card, but for a very little relative price increase, I'd prefer not have to worry about disk space. It's annoying to swap cards on the PS Vita since you have to completely restart; it's not like the PSP. However, there is a problem with the Vita, not with this card.An explanation of the sizes of digital storage:The card has a storage capacity of 64GB, calculated in metric rather than binary units. You want to know what the difference is. It's a fairly typical technique, but a lot of people don't understand it. Even though it is actually 64GB, this will appear to be 59GB on your console. Why? It isn't because 5GB is reserved for "formatting" (that doesn't require 5GB). Given that giga- signifies billion and that 64GB is measured in metric units, it is equivalent to 64 billion bytes. The measures used in computer design are based on binary units, which means that each power of 10 is actually 10 bits, or 210 = 1024 Bytes, or 1kB. By extending this, 1MByte is equal to 1024kBytes (1,048,576), and 1GB is equal to 1024MB (1,048,576kB), which is 1,073,741,824 bytes. However, 1GB is equal to 1,000,000,000 bytes in metric units. Metric measures enable them to depict sizes that are actually 7% smaller because the difference is 1,000,000,000/1,073,741,824 = 0.931. It is 64GB in metric (what they publish), and 59.6GB in binary if you do the arithmetic (what the computer reads). This is a standard method of doing business and is how today's digital storage is marketed in its entirety.

PlayStation Vita Memory Card 64GB (PCH-Z641G) Review:

My neighborhood USPS returned the initial delivery attempt to the vendor without informing me. The vendor informed me right away that they will make another try at delivery and improved the delivery at no additional cost. Outstanding client service! I appreciate AkihabaraGames.Of course, a proprietary storage system's card has the highest capacity. You may transfer files simply from your computer (even Macs!) to your Vita and back using the free Sony Content Manager app. This is fantastic because Borderlands and all of its DLC occupy the majority of the pack in the card (8GB).This is the card for you if, like me, you intend to embrace digital distribution for all (or most) of your games. allows you to download and save all of the free PSN games without needing to do so again.

8GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card Review:

Okay, so this product functions as it should and is merely a Memory Card, so there isn't really much else to say about it in a review. However, that is not the case and I would expect more from Sony. If the product were defective, I would chalk it up to a dud because it does happen when you mass create a product. The price is my sole complaint about this item and ALL PS Vita Memory Cards. Actually, this was just another ploy for Sony to bilk us out of more money ($100 for a 32GB, OUCH! Seriously, you can only use Vita formatted cards in this system, therefore you Had to spend the money on one of these cards. Sony slightly screwed us by omitting to include an internal memory with this beautiful little product (the Vita), so we have to buy one of these cards.I purchased the Limited Edition Assassins Creed III Liberation Bundle, which included a 4GB Memory Card, therefore I just purchased the 8GB at this time (I will eventually purchase a 16GB, perhaps a 32GB, or perhaps another 8GB along with the 16GB). Separate cards for various topics work best for me personally because I like to keep things organized). In order to fully utilize this method, you MUST have a decently large card. Except if you only want to play one game at a time, not download anything, and have no music or movies on the device, in which case you should acquire a smaller card, like the 4GB. For all of the aforementioned things you can accomplish with this fantastic little machine, the 8GB at least provides some respectable storage capacity.Overall, I gave the product a rating of 4 stars since, despite the price of the cards and the fact that they can only be used with the Vita, it is a decent and functional item.

16GB PlayStation Vita Memory Card Review:

The 4gb won't be enough capacity for your vita because your programs and free downloads alone will take up more space than you anticipate, thus you'll need more memory unless you just want to use it occasionally for fun gaming. The 8 GB limit is somewhat ineffective because it puts you on the verge of being able to download more, but you'll end up having to delete existing files to make room for the new ones. You will need at least the 16GB if you intend to use the vita seriously as a gaming device or console. You will be able to download a few apps, saved data, and three to four games using that. Look into 32GB or greater memory cards if you want to store your whole music collection, play exclusively downloaded games, and stop worrying about cartridges. Also keep in mind that you can download a ton of free demos and that occasionally it's cheaper to download a game and buy it directly from the PlayStation Network, particularly if you have a Playstation Plus membership. In this situation, you should give the 32gb version considerable consideration. You don't want to pay for a downloaded game just to have to remove it later to create room for a new game you want to download. I know it's incredibly pricey. I love the vita and would have a 60gb memory card in an ideal world, but that world doesn't exist, so choose a 16gb or 32gb memory card instead. There are also a ton of interesting games and demos on this device. Have fun playing!
