Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES - PlayStation 2 Review:

The best game of all time, in my opinion, is this. The fact that this game is still current, innovative, and important ten years (and two console generations) later is the reason Atlus can afford to keep it in print. The game can be broadly divided into two distinct "modes": the dungeon-crawling turn-based RPG meat and potatoes; and the social simulation, which involves attending school, making friends, and navigating the web of connections to create the kind of meaningful, long-lasting connections that everyone seeks in their lives. This game is unique to me not just because of the turn-based RPG or social simulation components, but also because of how seamlessly Atlus has combined these two seemingly distinct game-play philosophies. Like in real life, this game swiftly devolves into a juggling act. You won't have as much time to spend with your friends if you spend too much time killing monsters, and you'll struggle when the next boss battle comes around if you put off your monster-fighting duties too much. Having the authority and then taking ownership of the management of each of these systems gives you the impression that you are making progress. I receive the same sense of fulfillment from managing my commitments in real life when I maintain the balance between monster-fighting and social linking in this game. This demonstrates how intricate and well-developed these game-play systems are.The way that this game simultaneously guides you through a linear story while giving you so much freedom to choose who you spend time with and what you say to people, allowing each player to have a somewhat unique story to tell, is another example of how the two design approaches are seamlessly merged in this game. While still guiding you through the crucial plot lines required for the story to convey its moral—that life is worth living and that you should share it with the people you care about—this makes the experience feel personal and particular to you. This is the most enjoyable and worthwhile experience I've ever had playing a video game because of the intimidatingly tough game play, subtle, mature narrative, and masterful use of symbolism. This is the first time I've ever sobbed at the end of a video game because I really became close to the SEES kids (the primary characters). Take what you will from that.

Kingdom Hearts Review:

Without a question, one of the best RPGs available is Kingdom Hearts! It is built around a likable cast and an epic story. It is jam-packed with thrilling combat and touching scenes. It is the kind of thing that, in my opinion, both kids and adults can appreciate. It is unquestionably one of Square Enix's best works of art! Overall, I think Kingdom Hearts is a great investment and well worth the money!Arrival of the package: The delivery was on time, and the package showed up sooner than I had anticipated. The game was in pristine shape. It was obvious that it had received careful handling during transportation.I'll discuss some of the details of the game below.Mechanics: The controls may take some getting used to (for example, jumping requires pressing O rather than X as in other games), but with practice they become second nature to the player. Although the command menu initially seems intimidating, you eventually get to know it like the back of your hand. When you have a variety of spells, you can assign some of them to specific keys to make casting quick and simple (this is handy especially when you are in a sticky situation).Kingdom Hearts has a strong adventure-focused gameplay. You must be willing to do a lot of exploration in order to find wealth and advance the plot. You will be able to relive your childhood as you stroll through the locations of the Disney characters you definitely loved as a child. Unfortunately, before you may access chests and interact with anything in this game, you must defeat ALL of the adversaries nearby (in the later installments of the series you do not have to worry about having to do so). So it makes sense for you to defeat the enemies who attack you (besides, you will be killing two birds with one stone as it will help you accumulate EXP). You will be need to put in a good amount of "grinding" time in order to advance in the ranks because you must level up in order to become stronger. Fortunately, you are frequently faced with a small number of adversaries, making leveling up not too difficult. You typically have to battle a lot of little fish. While the EXP they have to offer is not much on its own, it soon builds up to a significant amount if you come across groups of several of them at once.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 - PlayStation 2 Review:

I bought Persona 4 for the PS2 with high hopes, knowing that Persona 3 FES was behind me and that Persona 5 was just around the way. That I wasn't let down pleasantly pleased me. It was clear that this game had been improved upon from Persona 3 FES because everything about it felt so well thought out. I want to start off by saying that this is the most seamless the story has ever flown in a Persona game. Revelations Persona 3 was an almost entirely from scratch attempt to revive a by then nearly dead and buried series and reprogramme it for a new generation of audiences, meaning that for as much effort as was put into it, the game still ended up with those moments whe the Persona series was still in its infancy. Persona 2 while having a very good story suffers from having to be told across two separate titles.Less downtime between plot-driven events and the ability to exert direct control over every member of your party are the two most obvious upgrades from the last game in the series. The downsides for me with this game are (1) that I don't like the majority of the soundtrack; I dislike almost every instrumental track (exceptions being the bathhouse theme, the Marukyuu striptease theme, the panic music before anyone's shadow goes berserk, and "I'll Face Myself"), and (2) that once you get your original four party members, you never have to replace them. After Yukiko joins, I may disregard every new party member. In fact, it's advised against experimenting because, similar to Persona 3 FES, you'll find it quite difficult to get your levels balanced again if you do. Just keep going if you encounter a boss who would be simpler to defeat if Kanji, Teddie, or Naoto were substituted for Yosuke, Chie, or Yukiko. Make sure Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko have items that address their elemental weaknesses while leveling up an additional three to five times and earning some extra money in the process. Be strategic and vigilant as bosses frequently employ attack patterns with weak spots that can be exploited.I have a lot of good things to say about the characters and their personal growth, but I also have some bad things to say. Teddie is a character that has a ton of development. Teddie develops the most during the narrative. Despite never having been used in combat, he is now my second favorite character. Yosuke Hanamura, who also undergoes a lot of character growth, is my favorite character in this game and may be my favorite in the entire series. Since I don't like any of the girls in the party more than I love Yosuke, I'm furious that Atlus decided to scrap the romantic route they had created for Yosuke's social link. The conflicts between who Kanji and Naoto are and what society expects them to be and as were, in my opinion, incredibly relatable. It's lovely to watch Chie and Yukiko get along, and Chie and Yosuke's brother-sister-style arguments are hilarious. Additionally, I adore Rise. In contrast to Fuuka, who was useless as an analyst type, Rise provides a distinct flavor to the team. Having family members to feel close to is wonderful. Nanako is the sweetest little girl ever, and it will be difficult for you not to feel Dojima's grief over the loss of his wife, especially in light of the evidence of what her death has done to Nanako and her relationship with her father because he is unsure of how to approach her, which is right in front of you.Eri Minami's and Kou Ichijou's social link-exclusive personalities particularly caught my attention. To a certain extent, I also particularly liked Ayane Matsunaga's. Despite how much I adore Ai Ebihara, I detested her social connection. Compared to the other social links I was able to fulfill, it felt drab. At rank 3, I grew tired of Naoki Konishi's and never returned to him. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to begin or complete Naoto's social link. A plus for Atlus' emphasis on replay value, but a minus for including too many social links for my taste. I had a couple more social links that I never got to begin or complete as well. However, I appreciate that you made them simpler to control than Persona 3 FES because they don't reverse as easy.Compared to Persona 3 FES, this game's endings are significantly more satisfying. The true (canon) ending still requires you to face a terrifying final boss, but you won't be as upset as you were with Persona 3 FES's actual ending. I'll end by making a request to everyone who reads this who works for Atlus: for the love of all that is good, please find a method to make the Persona games truly replayable. One significant flaw in the series is that there simply isn't enough of it in any of the current releases. When you find a series with games as amazing as this one, you want to play them again, but there is simply no reason if there are no rewards for doing so.

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne Review:

Despite the positive ratings, I didn't really anticipate enjoying this game as much as I do. God bless the walkthrough, but this game is not as challenging as some of these reviews make it out to be. You will succeed if you merely use common sense when deciding which demons to keep intact and which to fuse, and if you always remember to save. On the whole, I *adore* this game. The gameplay is exciting, the demons are intriguing (and based on numerous myths, so tons of nerd bonus), and the overall tale, while a little hazy, manages to keep you interested. Even though I prefer strategy RPGs to fighting and exploration RPGs, I've been playing this game nonstop for the past two weeks. So I suppose you'll enjoy this RPG no matter what kind you like!

Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves - PlayStation 2 Review:

The action of Sly Cooper had a strong arcade influence and some traditional platformer aspects. To complete the many levels, there was a lot of hopping, bouncing, and racing against the clock. With a living cartoon setting and some ingenious obstacles to overcome, it established a unique aesthetic. The only issue was that after a few hours of play, it came to an abrupt stop.Currently, Carmelita, an Australian shaman who speaks in tongues and Dimitri, as well as several other unnamed characters, have been added to the cast of playable characters. Once more, each mission is built up with a variety of tasks that must be completed inside each big location. Arrows identify the accessible, color-coded current events by pointing them out using the binoculars or by by hitting the L3 button. Bentley and Murray both have a green and a purple arrow, and if there is a blue arrow, it is for Sly. After all of these events are over, there is a huge heist-style activity where the participants must cooperate to carry out Bentley's elaborate scheme.

Gran Turismo 4 - PlayStation 2 Review:

I want to state the obvious: I ADORE the Gran Turismo series. I merely enjoy playing entertaining games; I'm not a console or game fanatic. Some books have amassed so much renown or reputation that it is difficult to write objectively about them. Here's my attempt, anyway!Gran Turismo 3 was my favorite racing game since it was the most realistic and in-depth one I had ever played. The career mode was incredibly deep, the handling was accurate, and the graphics were fantastic. They are all accurate statements regarding GT 4. The graphics are even better, to the extent that I had to confirm that these lovely images were coming from my PS2 and not my Xbox by doing a double take. With literally hundreds of cars to unlock and a career mode that surpasses RPGs in richness and completion time, this game offers the same depth. The option to download the photos you take is brilliant, and the new "photography" mode is cool—at least for a time.Let's get to the disappointment, or the reason this game didn't receive a perfect score. Similar to Gran Turismo 3, this game is almost the same. There are a few changes (mostly graphical), more vehicles, but nothing truly ground-breaking or novel. Because there is no online mode, this game lags Project Gotham Racing 2 from last year and Forza Motorsport from this year in many respects (which, by the by, has the Ferrari and Lamborghini license GT4 lacks). You may anticipate to trudge through hours of tutorial-level gameplay before being able to race... some awful underpowered import on a dull track. The uber-annoying licensing checks are back. I am aware that this game is complex, but getting to the exciting automobiles requires a lot of patience. It's wonderful that you can at least transfer up to 100k GT3 credits and A/B licenses from a GT3 savegame. This game is not inherently flawed; it simply has a flat, lifeless feeling to it. Technically flawless and with stunning graphics, it is yet incomplete.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - PlayStation 2 Review:

The ultimate GTA game and one of my all-time favorite PS2 games. The character in the game is one of its best aspects. You can change his appearance, enhance his stamina, luck, and more. You can make him muscular, obese, or slim. Additionally, it is a good idea to improve weapon skills so that you can hold a weapon in each hand. Additionally, they have over 270 vehicles, including a BMX bike, monster truck, train, and even a jet (yeah, I adore jets!). Targeting is considerably smoother and simpler than in the past. You have the option of first-person targeting or targeting foes. This story is lengthy, but in a fantastic way. plays it like Boyz in the Hood, but better. The soundtracks are decent but not outstanding as well. It's awful that it seems they weren't paying attention to that. It would be fantastic if they recreated Vice City in the style of the 1980s, but they didn't. mainly rap and hip-hop, with a small amount of country music. The PS2, which is currently outdated, isn't growing any younger, but they still managed to load this game with only a small amount of extra power and without the usage of pause screens to travel to different locations. On Vice City and GTA III, it becomes grating. The PS2's graphics are generally good but occasionally awkward. GTA: San Andreas is an incredible game that no one should miss, despite a few setbacks. One additional thing: I like that the character can date women in addition to climbing. PURE EPIC!!!!!!!!!

The Suffering Review:

The best way I can describe this game is as Silent Hill in motion. It has a protagonist with a cloudy past that will eventually be revealed based on how you play the game, adversaries based on problems the protagonist is dealing with, run-and-gun gameplay, and decrepit, decaying versions of common settings. You play a prisoner who may or may not have killed his wife who discovers his facility in disrepair and under siege from legions of horrifying creatures (mainly based on execution methods if memory serves). You fight your way out of the prison (picking up additional weapons naturally) and into a world that appears to have gone to hell using your trusty shiv, which is strangely the length of a friggin sword (or silent hill). It was great fun for me. It's fun even though at times it might be a touch corny and actually is a Silent Hill knockoff. The plot is well-done, and it advances quickly enough to keep readers' attention. Anyone who enjoys Silent Hill but wishes those games had more action and smoother combat should certainly check it out. (Keep in mind that I actually adore EVERY Silent Hill game, even the bad ones.)

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) Review:

Couldn't ask for more: arrived quickly, was new and undamaged, worked perfectly, and was competitively priced.I've only recently started playing it again and had forgotten how much fun it was when I was younger.

Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, Smartphone Powered Augmented Reality Experience Review:

I'm sure you're wondering if this product is worth the price if you're thinking about buying it. In my perspective, the answer is unambiguously affirmative because Lenovo Star Wars much exceeds my expectations. I have some perspective because I enjoy Star Wars and gaming, and I have a sizable collection of console, PC, and mobile device games. Any Star Wars enthusiast wouldn't be able to pass up the chance to use a lightsaber, and this system does not dissapoint! However, it also offers many more challenges in addition to lightsaber combat to keep you entertained. These include Dejarik (or Holochess), a strategic game.Although the lightsaber is deserving of being kept out for show, the packaging is appropriate for high-end electronics and may be used to store the game when it is not being played. All of the parts feel sturdy and well-crafted, and they are all made to last. My setup was simple thanks to the app's step-by-step instructions. The software runs without a hitch on my mobile, and the audio and picture quality are excellent, but it does sap your power, so take that into consideration.Despite having some experience with a few full VR games, this is my first time playing an immersive AR style game. I quickly realized that AR doesn't give me the "motion sickness" that many people get with full VR, thus I was able to play for as long as I wanted without experiencing any negative physical consequences. In general, I believe that this is worthwhile for gamers and Star Wars aficionados both. I'm hoping Lenovo will update this platform with more games.
