Hardware and instructions are not included. I used 4"-long, 1/2"-galvanized lag screws with a 5/16-inch pilot hole. Those infants are not leaving. You could use lag bolts instead of drilling a hole in the beam, but if you're using a 4"x6" bolt, you need a 7" bolt to have enough room to travel through the hanger, beam, washer, lock washer, and still have room for the nut. You can get the necessary hardware for roughly $10 each set. Additionally, you will require a drill bit long enough to pass through the beam because making a mistake here is really painful. (I'll continue using screws.)When using a socket wrench to tighten down your screws or bolts on the hangers, the horizontal bolt gets in the way a little bit. Once I was almost done, I had to go to turning them in 1/4 turns at a time with a crescent wrench. I had similar issue with 2 out of 6 people. They are quite strong, quiet, and swing effortlessly, as other reviewers had noted. They should, in my opinion, include advice on hardware placement and spacing.Disclaimer! I purchased this to replace earlier straps that snapped after only a year of use due to wear and tear (by toddlers). I believe I got a brand-new, enhanced model. My strap was quite similar to the one in the original image, down to the massive cantilever and swivel. The cantilever hook's pre-sewn location is pretty obvious, and the strap I received lacked the peculiar loop that several people had concerns about. I hung this 12 feet in the air on a limb that hangs over a steep hill, yet I'm just 5'5". I used a step ladder, but the inclination meant that I could only climb a few rungs. Despite my initial fear that I might complete this duty by myself, the reality was entirely different. I just threw the heavy end up and over the branch with the cantilever and swivel already attached, letting the heavy metal pieces fall through the open strap and gravity take care of the rest. Even though it required 3 tries, the installation was completed in about 5 minutes. It was extremely simple. Even though the swing we are adding to it won't arrive until tomorrow, I'm already pleased with it.

You should be aware of a few things before I begin my evaluation. First things first, I did NOT obtain this product for free or at a reduced price. Second, I have never constructed anything akin to a swing set before and I'm a 34-year-old woman. Before this, I had never even used a ratchet. I am a biochemist who studies eye diseases and the mother of an autistic 4-year-old kid. Like many children with autism, my son enjoys swinging. And it would be an understatement to say that I "loves" her. I wanted to gift him a swing set for his upcoming birthday. We recently relocated to a new home. Our current home lacks the wonderful swinging trees that our previous home had. The cost of purchasing a decent swing set, however, is SO HIGH that I began researching the feasibility of making one. Despite the fact that I lack much experience in this area, I'm all for trying! I came across these brackets at that point and decided I could accomplish it.I'm delighted I spotted the "kit" version rather than just purchasing two brackets. It also helped me avoid wasting a ton of time and effort on the wrong hardware purchases. With the exception of wood and tools, this kit includes everything you need to create an A frame. The basic A frame I created has 10' top beam and 10' legs (they suggest 8' legs, but I wanted a wider swing arc). I required the following to finish the project:This toolkit (which comes with two brackets and 28 appropriately sized lag bolts and washers)- One 10 foot 4x6 beam (available at Home Depot) for the top (pressure-treated lumber is recommended to ensure longevity and prevent degradation when in touch with the ground).- Four 10 foot 4x4 beams (Home Depot) for the legs. These can be anywhere between 8 and 12 feet long, but I strongly advise going longer if you intend to bury or anchor the legs in the ground. Instead of burying them, I chose to just purchase some screw-in ground anchors.- A drill and drill bit to pre-drill the holes for the lag bolts (already had). I'm not sure precisely what size I used, but it was one that was included with my drill right out of the box.two swings My son adores the Deluxe Platform Swing by HearthSong that I already owned and had purchased from Amazon the previous year. I used the yellow swing ties, which I also purchased from Amazon, to hang it in our tree. Since I already had them, I made the decision to use them. For this build, I purchased the half bucket swing from Swing Set Stuff on Amazon.- Safe-Kidz heavy duty swing anchor kit, which included four lag bolts and screws in addition to two anchors, two clips, a drill bit, and four anchors.- Two 80 "chain lengths made of zinc (Home Depot). Before constructing the swing set, I estimated this number, but I actually only needed about 70 "about the half bucket. Everything depends on the kind of swing you're using and the kids' ages.- Ratchet and the right size bit - Two Quick Links (Home Depot) to join the chain ends to the swing (again, one that came standard with my ratchet that I already had)With all of this gear, it only took me a few hours to finish this swing ALL BY MYSELF, and that includes shopping and loading/unloading! The brackets do all the guesswork and meticulous measuring on your behalf. Your A frame is finished after you simply put the wood into the bracket, drill the lag bolt holes, and tighten them. Observations on installing the beams into the brackets Other reviews complained about awkward fits and the need to sand or lubricate the beams before pounding them in with a rubber mallet. I had my dish soap, rubber mallet, and orbital sander ready to handle whatever came up, but none of it was required! The beams I purchased glided in with little effort at all. Actually, it couldn't have been any simpler. Depends on where you purchase your wood, I suppose, but if it's REALLY 4x4 and 4x6, they should go in to these brackets NO PROBLEM without sanding or lubricating.The mounting hardware for the half bucket swing in the top beam was measured and installed before I stood it up (I actually did need help with that portion). Hardware creators advise taking at least 15 measurements "removed from the swing set's nearest support structure. I went a little bit further. Additionally, they advise spreading the hardware wider than the swing they will be supporting. For common swings, 16 "must be alright. I took that action. Once it was upright, I used my ladder to hang, adjust, and test the platform swing to make sure it was stable. Wow, there's no way this is going anywhere! I was able to swing rather high while lying on the platform without the ground being connected to me (which I would do anyhow) with the A frame not even flinching under my 130 lb weight!My son was ecstatic when my husband and son returned from their father's day that afternoon. They were both amazed that I had done everything myself. He adores his brand-new swing set, and I appreciate how simple it was and how much money it saved me. So, if it's any use, here is the final cost of the one I constructed:Wood - $100Hardware/bracket kit: $79$40 for a half bucket swing $30 for a chainHardware for installing a swing: $28Platform swing and swing ties were already mine, although they cost $130 and $25, respectively.That was essentially wonderful because it only cost me $277 out of pocket and a few hours on a Saturday morning. The total cost, including the items I already had, came to $432.You would have a difficult time finding something less expensive for a swing set with this height and durability. This would also be incredibly simple to expand upon! The A frame will get wood boards added to the sides, and I'll build a climbing wall on one side and a slide on the other! And I'm so pleased with myself for accomplishing this. I enjoy challenging gender norms! I'm telling you, anyone could accomplish this if I could!I sincerely hope this is useful to someone else. I'm hesitant to write a review because I just got this yesterday, but my son likes it so much that I feel compelled to inform other parents. This is what I bought to hang on the doorframe of my tiny NYC apartment. Within 2 minutes of taking it out of the package, my son began using it (I already had hooks installed). I like that the rope is adjustable because my doorframe is extremely high, and the seat is stable. It appears to be quite nicely crafted and isn't at all hefty. The seat's apparent slope is the one minor drawback for me. The seat can move and slide around a lot due of how the rope is wrapped through, I suppose.This is something I would unquestionably advise, especially for indoor use. It can be installed anywhere and provides youngsters with hours of pleasure on wet days, or really any day.

On our front porch, there was a basket chair suspended from the ceiling. I had fastened the chair to a ceiling rafter using a sizable eye bolt. I got my son's playground set these Playset Anchors. Excellent value in comparison to rivals who demanded about $20 for a set. I discovered that installing these anchors was not that difficult. I could only get them a few inches into the ground with my hand, so I had to use a wrench to push the anchors further. Unfortunately, there are only approximately 6 inches of fill material on my land until we reach a hard, rocky layer, thus I was only able to advance these anchors so far. I only have one small quibble: I wish there were more holes in the metal straps farther down the band to accommodate anchors that could only be moved so far. I had to attach the metal straps to the playground equipment sideways, which I'm confident will be successful.These function well overall, and I would buy them again.
