I was especially pleased with how effectively the padding and covering fabric hid the fasteners from curious hands. These straps are used to hold a baby swing on a tree. So far, the straps are holding up nicely and working effectively. We always leave the straps on the tree because it takes a ladder and some time to get them to hang evenly on a limb that curves upward rather than straight out. However, we've been forced to leave the locking clips on the swing, which we always store on a covered porch while not in use. This is due to the fact that we have already seen rust growing on the threaded portion of these clips. We anticipate using the product longer before we have to replace this component. It has been used for a child under 20 lbs. about 20 times in the past few weeks with no signs of wear on the straps. And the D-rings are free of corrosion. I like the straps since they are simple to use, but I shouldn't have kept the clips outside if I had known how quickly they would rust.

When assembled, this is excellent. I had to read a few questions and reviews because, as other reviews have said, the instructions that come in the package are completely useless. Although the netting is extremely tight, which is fantastic, it can be a little challenging to put the ring together unless you do it a specific way.1. Split the ring in half.3. Unfold the sides (from taco to pancake), being careful to keep the ends together. 2. Fold the two halves together like a taco. If having a second person is useful. The ends should slide in, but you might need to apply a lot of pressure.4. Place the eye bolts and tighten them.One of the shackles that came with it was too big to fit on the swing set where I wanted to hang it, which was the second problem I encountered and the reason I took off a star. Fortunately, I had a functioning older set in the garage. This swing isn't horrible overall, and I'll update my assessment this autumn to reflect how it stands up. Feels rather solid.

These hangers work great! Since they are heavy-duty, I have no doubts that they will survive far longer than I can fathom. I bought two sets: one red and one green. Both have vibrant colors and give a playground that extra bit of color. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would happily make another one. Some folks are upset because there is no hardware included. Please be aware that each person may have a different mounting surface. They shouldn't include a variety of hardware in the hopes that it will be sufficient for most installations. Make a proper plan and visit your neighborhood hardware store.Here are a few of my criticisms:1) One set of them had to be returned since the enamel did not stick to the metal well and was flaking off. A small drop, and a sizable portion of it came off. The return procedure was simple, although it would be preferable if these were produced with several light coats of enamel rather than just one quick heavy dip. Despite just having them up for a week, the paint on the two pairs I have is already beginning to show signs of wear. One star less for that. The flaking paint is going to drive me crazy every time I see it, so I should have just bought the silver ones and been done with it.2) They developed a slight squeak after only two days of use. Although it's not a big concern, I was planning to lightly lubricate the hangers with a water, dust, and rust-resistant spray anyhow. After the spray, they are as smooth as they possibly can be, but not much spray is needed.

Two single hammocks are being hung off of our pergola structure using these straps. Without damaging the pergola, we wanted to be able to move the hammocks about the patio. This mobility is made possible by the straps since they can simply loop around a 6" beam like a tree limb. How I wish I had seen this over the summer. We bought a Little Tikes swing from Walmart with a rope to hang it on, but we only had a tree.
