Most portable blenders can handle ice, but it depends on the model and how much ice you're trying to blend. If you're only adding a few cubes, you shouldn't have any problems. If you're trying to make a frozen drink, you might need to add a little more liquid to help the blender out.

Updated 2019 Version Professional Personal Countertop Blender for Milkshake, Fruit Vegetables Drinks, Ice, Small Mini Portable Single Food Bullet Blenders Processor Shake Mixer Maker with Cup for Home Kitchen,15 Ounce Review:

The TINY cup size and the fact that there isn't any sort of "start" button (you have to line up the bottom of the blending top with the notches in the base just right and then push down to start it... weird) initially turned me off, but this little gadget blended a very nice, very smooth, thick smoothie exactly the way I like it, so I'm happy. I had no trouble blending together a whole cup of my morning smoothie, which only has 4 ounces of water and lots of almond butter, cocoa powder, collagen powder, coconut oil, egg yolks, spinach leaves, and frozen cherries. The smoothie turned out fantastic despite the spinach leaves sticking out past the "Max" line (I actually had to bash them down into the cup to secure the top). Although I don't often create larger smoothies, the small cup size and absence of a start button kept me from giving this product five stars. Although it works, it's still annoying and requires at least two tries to get the notches to line up. I can't yet comment on the product's durability, but so far, for the money, I'm actually extremely pleased. Compared to my previous Hamilton Beach personal blender, which was excellent for almost a year, this one works better.

Ninja Personal Blender for Shakes, Smoothies, Food Prep, and Frozen Blending with 700-Watt Base and (2) 16-Ounce Cups with Spout Lids (QB3001SS) Review:

Positives Plastic cups appear to be thicker and more robust than my previous ones.Blends Excellently: Before I started blending, I wondered why the cups had such an odd form. Its bottom and sides are shaped like blades to create a vortex that engulfs everything you put inside of it. The blades on this blender appear more terrifying.Dishwasher safe are cups, lids, and blades.ConsJust two cups: Not much of a problem when they're around. With the last blender, I had 4 cups, but after 4 years, I was down to 1.Cups are High: Although not excessively tall, I must utilize a different shelf in the office refrigerator because of it.There are limits to Lids' drinkability. I frequently drink fruit smoothies, and while the lid's aperture appears enough, the air hole is too small for the smoothie to pour out quickly, and it is easily clogged by a single smoothie drop. If you simply had to sip a bit more slowly, this wouldn't be a big deal, but the poor airflow prevents the smoothie from returning to the cup, causing it to pour all over the mouthpiece of the lid. Even if it might not be a big deal, I don't like it.UPDATE: The flow seems to be much better if you don't completely cover the mouthpiece with your mouth to allow for airflow. The consistency of my smoothie may have been a little bit thinner today as well, but it doesn't seem to be as unpleasant as it did before, so I assume I just figured out how to drink it.Second Update: Thickness does matter. You only need to remove the lid off an extremely thick smoothie in order to sip it.

Ninja BL456 Blenders - Countertop, 24 oz, Silver/Black Review:

Even if it seems cliche, it seems like common sense is rare. I read over the reviews of numerous goods on Amazon before buying my FIRST Nuti Ninja as a family Christmas gift last year, and sanitation and leaks seemed to be a recurring topic among the unfavorable ones.I've reached a decision after using my blender for the better part of ten months. First, DON'T OVERFILL. Second, CLEAN THE SEAL.All of us, I'm sure, have occasionally overfilled a regular blender, which has resulted in comedic stuff.A solid object will occupy more space if it is broken up into a billion fragments. Hydraulic forces will find a way to escape the blender once it transforms into a pressure vessel. A blender should not be overfilled, regardless of the brand. I presume that if the base is cross threaded, a suitable seal won't be formed. There is a theme running across all the poor evaluations of blenders from ALL brands. Do all blenders have poor design? No chance. I find it more likely that a certain proportion of people will either disregard the instructions or be in such a rush that they will overfill the container. Of course, it is possible that a certain product will be flawed, but this will happen regardless of brand.Sanitation and cleanliness appeared to be the second major problem. In my opinion, you must remove the seal from the ninja because, as you will no doubt agree once you see how it is made, no amount of soap and water will be able to clean the area surrounding the seal. If you try to dig it out with a buck knife, I suppose they are delicate. Instead, use the proper equipment. Once more, this problem is widespread across blenders and is not exclusive to the ninja. The seal on the Ninja is a compression seal made of silicone that is 8mm wide and 1mm thick. With a little care, it can be removed to allow for thorough cleaning of the seal and its seat. It is neither an O ring or flat gasket style seal. Furthermore, replacement seals are offered. I found a ton more sellers online in case it does get damaged over time.At the very least once a week, I carefully remove the seal out for thorough cleaning using a dentist style pick tool.Everything makes sense after you remove that seal and look at how it was built. Therefore, keep it simple and just five minutes once a week to wipe the seal, and you'll be OK.Now for the important part. This falls at the lower end of the pricing range for a personal blender in a market where many models cost between $200 and $400, but it looks to have solid quality control and use the same materials as more expensive models. The stainless blades and the walls of the blending cups are both substantial.Another aspect that caught my attention was the blade cap's softer material that, where the motor drive and blade cap meet, absorbs shock rather than passing it through the drive assembly, lowering the risk of fractures. No, it isn't remotely quiet, however the majority of the noise seems to come from the blending procedure rather than the engine itself.I recently read a review from a poor person whose machine was spewing sparks out of the motor ventilation ports, which was obviously an isolated problem. In conclusion, I have utilized my ninja for 10 months, usually six days a week. I filled it to the proper level with every food combination, including grapes, cucumber, cranberries, peanuts, and passion fruit, with the right proportions of solid to liquid. I can genuinely claim that I've never run into any issues. Although I've made some foul-tasting concoctions that I'll never do again, the ninja still looks and functions like new.Being a highly sceptical, I struggled to decide which blender to buy. Every brand was on the table, including Oster, Braun, Vitamix, Jamba Juice, Blendtec, and NutriBullet. Trust me when I say that while I have no difficulty returning a subpar product, this little man has left me with nothing but positive things to say. There are literally millions of these in use, and it's likely that some people may have a negative experience. Is it improper that the vast majority of users adore these and have experienced no problems? Or is it more likely that the few people who, for whatever reason, had a negative experience, will be outspoken about it? You can figure it out using common sense. Even Rolex is criticized by some. The 32oz cup is a useful feature to take into account, as a last point. I can simply prepare three beverages at once and finish the task.Nothing was given to me in exchange for my evaluation.I have no connection to this product in any manner.I'm a retired truck driver who is 56 years old.I heartily endorse this item.

Ninja 400-Watt Blender/Food Processor for Frozen Blending, Chopping and Food Prep with 48-Ounce Pitcher and 16-Ounce Chopper Bowl (QB900B), Silver Review:

A coworker told my husband that a $35 Ninja Food Processor was available on Amazon. He placed the order as soon as he got home that evening. Since then, we have used it every day. Having a Ninja Food Processor at home is fantastic since it makes chopping veggies, making smoothies, breaking up ice, etc. so much simpler.Advantages: We could create chilled margaritas immediately away. The margaritas we had there were the greatest we've ever had. Because of how swiftly that little guy can chop ice, we put almost little work into it.It has two containers, two lids, three blades, the engine, and lids, as you can see in the picture. By the way, the large pitcher is full-size. I would describe it as a touch "top-heavy," so I had to get used to that. Talk about power, there is just one speed, and all you have to do to start it is press the top! I regret not giving the Ninja Food Processor more consideration. We never had one since I always felt it was a little too expensive for our household. We could never live without one, in my opinion, today. Ever.My Cons: I don't really have any major complaints, but I did have a little issue securing the engine to the lid at the top. Second, regarding the food processor's blades: I neglected to take one out, and as a result, my vegetables were practically pureed. Always remember to remove one of the blades when you only need to quickly slice something. My dinner wasn't ruined, but I didn't look like I wanted to.In conclusion, I believe that everybody who can afford one should use a Ninja Food Processor. With this, you may accomplish a plethora of things and greatly simplify your life. Because I can easily make a smoothie with just one button click, I've been eating better. The motor is reasonably quiet, thus sensory overload is unlikely to result. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. Just be sure to read the instructions and become familiar with its usage first. Enjoin the Ninja!

Personal Portable Blender with 480ml Travel Bottle, USB Rechargeable Single Served Smoothie Blender Six Blades in 3D Superb Mixing Personal Size Mixer Fruit Juicer Blender for Shakes and Smoothies Review:

Loved the blender I purchased to try! Very simple to use and clean. Strawberry smoothies were made, and they blended well. The blender is compact, lightweight, and simple to clean. I can't wait to take this blender on vacation and make smoothie treats and "fat" coffees with it! If you do decide to brew "fat" coffee, keep in mind that heat expands, and don't fill the mixer more than halfway. While blenders are not designed for hot liquids, I've discovered that blending my "fat" coffee is essential.

Personal Blender, Sboly Smoothie Blender Single Serve Small Blender for Juice Shakes and Smoothie with 20 oz Tritan BPA-Free Blender Cup, 300W (with Silicone Ice Cube Tray/Bottle Brush) Review:

This small mixer is great! Since it is not much wider than an avocado, I say little. See image. I needed something that would look beautiful on the counter, be simple to clean, and be simple to operate because I make smoothies frequently. I was weary of having to carry out my large blender, which took up a lot of counter space, just to make a smoothie. This blender appears to satisfy all of my needs. I did not receive the miniature ice tray that some reviewers mention, but that is well because I wouldn't have needed it. I received everything you can see in the photo, and I was pleased to find a card with an 800 number on it in case I had any problems. Since the first time, I inserted my frozen 1/2 banana and frozen blueberries first along with spinach and almond milk, and the blueberries got stuck, I have learned to add my frozen things in the bottle last. I now know to either evenly distribute the contents throughout the bottle or, as I previously stated, simply add the frozen stuff last. The ninja only had 16 ounce bottles, so I'm glad this arrived with two 20 ounce bottles. This was incredibly simple to clean up and came with a lovely brush that I didn't use. I pulsed it about eight times to achieve the desired uniformity. As soon as I completed my smoothie, I just rinsed it out. On the kitchen counter, it presents itself very elegantly, which is positive.

COSORI Upgraded Personal Blender(Recipe Book Included), 10-Piece Smoothie & Shakes Blender with 800W Auto-Blend Base for Ice Fruits & Nutrients Extraction,2 x 24oz cups, 1 x 12oz cup Review:

Wow, this is far better than I anticipated is all I have to say. In my household, we go through a lot of smoothies, so I really needed one that would work well with ice. Some of the smoothie blenders I've used in the past leave a lot of lumps and don't do a great job with ice. It kind of defeats the idea of having a blender for "smoothies." One of the things that most impressed me about it before I even used it was how substantial the base is. This indicates to me that this device certainly has a nice, sturdy motor. I also really appreciate that the base has rubber suction cup feet to assist it adhere to the surface and prevent slipping. Additionally, a few handy attachments are included with this particular blender. It makes taking smoothies with you or storing leftover smoothies in the fridge for a while simple. The containers' capacity, which is really far larger than that of other smoothie blenders I've used in the past, is another feature I wasn't exactly expecting. This implies that making a double smoothie to share with a family member is simple. Finally, this specific appliance performs a terrific job of mixing things, even ice, into a beautiful smooth combination. This blender performs fairly well, so I've put it on the counter and put my other blender—which doesn't work nearly as well—in storage. The other blender is now a backup, and this one is now my go-to for smoothies.

PopBabies Portable Blender, Personal Blender with USB Rechargeable Small Blender for Shakes and Smoothies, Stronger and Faster with Ice Tray Funnel Recipe, Black (FDA BPA free) Review:

Anyone who consumes smoothies, protein powder shakes, or meal replacement drinks needs the PopBabies Personal Blender. I was astounded at how well this tool blended/mixed my fine-powdered smoothie. You can respond, "Well, mixing milk with powder doesn't take much."However, I'm here to tell you that the shakes I use need to be well-blended in order to avoid tasting gritty or like you're eating sand. So it's really important to me that my shakes are properly blended. This is something I bought for a recent vacation to Hawaii. I was able to pass it through TSA successfully twice with no problems, not even a luggage search. The goods was undamaged after traveling. What I appreciate about this personal blender is this:1) It has a bottle-like size. When joined to the base, it becomes a little bigger. It is compact and travel-friendly.2) The blender is not too noisy. It sounds similar to the sound of an electric pencil sharpener, in my opinion. Pushing a button causes it to start and it ends on its own.3) This one has a silicone funnel, which is essential if you're using powder. Additionally, it packs easily because it is constructed of silicone.4) You won't have to be concerned about shaking your arm off only to discover that there is still a lot of powder to be mixed in. This quickly completes the task at hand. What could be improved:1) They don't tell you this, but after the first time, you won't do it again. Never forget to add the milk first, followed by the powder. If you don't, cleaning in difficult-to-reach areas will take a lot of time. I wish they had included a little brush cleanser with the packaging. However, rinsing with water and soap to clean is fairly simple when done correctly.2) The funnel is a godsend because the aperture is so tiny. Maybe eliminating the requirement for a funnel would require making the entrance larger (as in other brands)?3) Although it's a minor point, I wish there had been a choice for one that came with a USB-C cord because I currently don't own anything else that does. This is an outstanding product all around. It worked very well when I was traveling and has greatly improved how much I love my daily shakes. I advise it to everyone else looking for a personal blender.

Hamilton Beach Personal Blender for Shakes and Smoothies with 14oz Travel Cup and Lid, Black (51101AV) Review:

EDIT: And just so you know, I do occasionally run the dishwasher. It is challenging to get into all the tiny nooks, so instead of rinsing it off and simply swirling dish soap about, I put it in the top level in the dishwasher, and it washes just nicely.I adore it for the purposes I use it for. This works perfectly when I simply combine protein powder, wheatgrass powder, SMALL chunks of frozen fruit, and almond milk.I appreciate that I can drink directly from the blender jar and that washing it is simple (I wash it right away so nothing dries on the blades).Another reason I like it so much is that my home, which was built in the 1800s, has very limited counter space.Having said that, I've used a lot of these small or personal blenders, and eventually they just seemed disposable.I have always loved Hamilton Beach. The cup does not contain bpa plastic, however after time, it does become pitted. One of the reasons I purchased this blender was because it has TWO cups, which should increase its usefulness.I would choose this model with TWO blending jars if you DO decide to purchase one of these little blenders. It costs approximately the same and is fantastic if there are two of you who enjoy making smoothies OR if it's just you because you can have a spare jar in case one gets too pitted! It does mix everything together perfectly, however I wouldn't use any substantial frozen items. I would get a larger blender if you want one that has a lot of power.
