After connecting, the steelseries engine should immediately identify the controller as "stratus xl" and indicate that it has to be updated. Click update and wait for it to complete.4. After the update, unplug the cord (you won't need it any more), install the batteries, power on the controller, and couple it with your computer via bluetooth. I mostly purchased this to use as a Bluetooth controller with my Oculus Go. Testing on my PC using the wifi adaptor also went very well. An excellent operating and feeling controller all around. Additionally, battery life has been superb. However, I have to take a star off for quality assurance. The left trigger appears to be improperly installed because it catches, grinds, and adheres to the edges of the controller's aperture from which it protrudes. Overall, I would advise against it.

I was aware of what I would get before using this HOTAS. After Logitech acquired Saitek, I saw a ton of reviews claiming that the company's QC was improving and that fewer sticks were arriving defective.My stick has been having hardware issues with the button presses not registering or, if they do, being entered as stuck after working for almost three months. I requested an RMA from Logitech through a support ticket since the same controller is experiencing a hardware problem that keeps happening on several machines. I'm hoping Logitech responds quickly with a replacement, and I'll let you know how the product replacement procedure went.Aside from this, I like the product. Based on similar-priced goods, the ergonomics and usefulness are unmatched for the price. If the equipment doesn't function, though, it's all moot.EDIT 12/20/2018.—Review of the Logitech replacement gadget. There have been no problems thus yet. I've read in other posts that your chances of receiving a device that is immediately usable are about 25%. The last few months have seen this new device operate flawlessly. Any FM radio must meet one important condition for me. It must be sensitive enough to pick up a specific station located 25 miles away from my home, on the opposite side of a nearby city with a number of reasonably tall structures blocking the line of sight. So many radios either can't transmit at all or give me fading and static. Because I obtain a crystal clear signal by placing the external antenna wire, I am giving this the uncommon 5-star rating. The clock is well-lit. The controls are simple to use (and a brief manual is included). The lightning charger is quite functional. It won't fit through an iPhone case that is 1/8 inch or larger, they warn you, and they are not kidding. Simply said, it won't attach well enough to sit comfortably. Although they make it quite apparent in the Amazon listing, I won't give them less than a rating because of their accurate listing. Additionally, because the dock can be rotated, it actually can charge an iPad without interfering with the time.

I had my doubts about this controller at first, but after seeing several online reviews, I felt more at comfortable. The controller is a masterstroke! Similar to an XBOX controller, the buttons have a clicky feel and offer tactile feedback. Because they offer the perfect amount of resistance while remaining firm, the joysticks are a JOY to use. The controller stands out above all others because to its lights, and despite its seeming short battery life, it actually has an incredibly long one.The item performs admirably in terms of quality. Rubber grips and a superior feel make it seem like an XBOX controller. It also looks wonderful. It's a pleasure to hold and use the gadget.In terms of playing with it, I would rate this controller as a 9/10 if compared to an XBOX controller. Why a 9 as opposed to a 10? The triggers for the L1 and R1 buttons are weird. They only trigger and move along the boundaries of the buttons, not anywhere you press them. Despite giving off a highly gratifying click when pressed, this makes using them seem strange. The l2 and r2 triggers are excellent and feel at least as nice as the XBOX buttons. The rest, in my opinion, is on level with the XBOX controller.Pricing: If you want an XBOX controller for a PC, Android, or iOS device, this controller will provide that for you at this price.The device worked with all but one of the seven Android devices I used to test it—the one running Android 4.0.4. However, unless you get the G4s, which has a WiFi dongle specifically made for PCs, the PC requires a cable connection. I also tested the device with iOS, and it worked on an iPhone 6 as well as a PC.The battery life is more than sufficient; my battery has lasted up to 8 hours, which is more than enough time for a lengthy gaming session.
