First and foremost, the grip is wonderful. I've grown to anticipate quality craftsmanship and a sturdy build from Thrustmaster. The two stage trigger feels a little different than the A-10 trigger on release, as others have noted, however the buttons provide far better feedback than the A-10 grip. However, I'll get used to it quickly.You will need to update your outdated Grip Base firmware to version 12 in order for it to recognize the grip you are using. If you are setting everything from within the game's controller assignments, I don't think you need to change anything since this is solely for the target program.All in all, a lovely addition.

Despite not being a frequent reviewer, I felt compelled to write about this in the hopes that it could assist someone else facing the same issue.First of all, this set is really affordable at $40 and offers a lot. When joysticks are properly hooked, the buttons are lovely and work nicely. On my custom-built arcade cabinet, I had all the buttons placed, and I had wired them according to how I thought they "should" be based on the and - markings and the illustration in the instructions.The buttons worked, however the LEDs did not turn on. Although the given wiring chain is excellent, it appears that switching the positive and negative wires is required in order for the buttons to light up. In other words, wiring the daisy chain should place the dual red wire UNDER the single black wire and the dual black wire UNDER the single red wire, presuming you are looking at the back of the button with the present single wiring attached on top.This was my own problem because the offered instructions included this instruction, even if it was awkwardly phrased (lol). I just ignored it.Great product all around; will buy again for any upcoming builds.

So here are my opinions if you need help choosing between the Thrustmaster and the Logitech in the future.Just comparing the sticks, I think the Logitech is better. The base is heavier and wider, which is the first thing that is noticeable. I never pulled back strongly enough to topple the Logitech off on any of its feet or anything like that. With the Thrustmaster, however, I did. Additionally, there are more thumb buttons on the Logitech, and they are better placed and click more satisfyingly. The diameter of the stick is a little bit smaller. which I enjoy. The Thrustmaster was comfortable in my hand, yet it had a different feel. It feels better to me right now to move the stick with more power on the Logitech. But I could understand how, in the middle of a lengthy gaming session, I may want for a push that was a little easier.the throttle controls now. The Thrustmaster triumphs in this case without a doubt. However, I discovered that I didn't require the level of control that the Thrustmaster throttle supplied during dogfighting. In the game, there is a command that can adjust your speed to fit your target. like the improved cruise control on modern cars with radar. I've discovered that it's much easier to trigger that and stick with someone when I've targeted them. Beyond that, all I really need are full throttle and full halt, both of which are accessible through voice command or a quick double-tap of W or S. To solve the problem, we have come to an understanding."Avoid purchasing this item if your phone has any kind of decal or skin on it. The first time I put the triggers on my iPhone XR, the DBrand skin I had on it tore. If you had intended to use these with a case, forget about it because of how tightly they fit. On a modern television, not even a very decent one, I attempted to play N64. Not even close to 4K or anything exceptional, maybe 720 or 1080. However, the N64 is horribly pixelated. Not a problem with the controllers, but after spending money to play mariokart, I wasn't prepared to experience heartbreak. If you're trying to play mariokart with pals as I was, go with the swap. What about the short controller cords? lol. The extension cords I purchased are still too short. But I suppose that was the case back when I was younger and couldn't remember. I purchased these for 007 and Mario Kart, but I'm concerned I'll need to purchase a switch because modern televisions have altered the nature of the games.But they are good if you're certain you need the N64 controller. The only performance problem I experienced with these in particular was a slight propensity for the joystick to wander. When I picked it up and moved it as opposed to leaving it alone, the problem was quickly fixed. Furthermore, I'm not even sure if it is a peculiar problem with the official NES controllers.
