This headset is the definition of "bang for your buck." The gaming headset's general construction quality is almost premium; it has a solid weight to it without being unduly weighty to the point where it would put any pressure on the head or neck. The thick and incredibly soft padding on the headband and ear cups provides the wearer with long-lasting comfort. I appreciate that the ear cups entirely enclose my average-sized ears because it makes it easier for me to fully immerse myself in the game I'm playing. It translates well to "in-game" action, and my online friends could hear me perfectly (even better than my daily-driver $129 gaming headset). The "noise-canceling" microphone works superbly for the price range. I recorded raw audio to my laptop and it sounded just as good as my "voice-over" microphones I use for videos. The controller/hub that is wired to the headset is a wonderful extra feature; it has a volume control rocker, a mute button, and even a microphone gain control to instantly drop or boost the user's level. There is also a specific button for turning on and off the RGB lights on the headset. There isn't a 3.5mm jack for tablets or a Nintendo switch, so that's the only "negative" I can think of for this gadget. It only connects to PCs and gaming consoles via USB. It works perfectly for me; I simply plug it into my PS4 Pro and it is recognized right away. Overall, I believe that this is Amazon's best cheap gaming headset. These Beexcellent red LED gaming headphones are fantastic. All of the items were carefully packed within the box. The connections were carefully twist-tied, and the headset itself was packaged in a bubble-wrap packet. The delivery came with the headset itself, a 3.5 mm audio converter Y cable with connections for audio and microphone, and an additional USB chord extension cable, which I assume is for situations where you need to extend your USB connection beyond the length of what is currently on the headset. The headphones lit up with a fantastic red lit up effect after everything was properly connected to my son's PC, which is very cool at night.These instantly functioned after being correctly connected to my son's gaming machine. We didn't even need to update the setup. They just functioned. Through both ears, the sound quality is excellent. With the headset on, the headphones produced a crisper, better sound than the computer speakers alone. My son couldn't hear me at all when I tried to talk to him when I had both ear cushions over both of his ears, thus they do an excellent job at noise cancellation. When communicating with online pals using the built-in mic in the headphones, the mic performs flawlessly. Although I must admit that these are the only "game" headphones I've ever worn, I'm fine using them with a PS4, so I can't really say whether they are better or worse than the others. I do own a Razer Blade Pro laptop, which is the best laptop I've ever owned (along with MacBook Pros). Because of my excellent prior experiences with Razer products, I nearly solely chose these.In terms of comfort, I'd give them unquestionably a five-star rating. They are "cool" in the sense that they don't warm up after a while and are incredibly light. No matter how long I wear them for in a row, they are never anything less than completely comfortable, and I never have the impression that I need to take them off for a break or that my ears start to perspire. I almost don't even remember I'm wearing headphones.The volume control is what I really detest. Similar to practically every other headphone, it has a dial on the cord, however the issue is that it spins and moves around erratically. It's not a "tight" dial that won't spin up or down unless your fingers are on it, nor is it the kind that produces a tiny click when you crank it up or down a notch. As a result, it scrapes against your clothing and the volume increases or decreases each time you move (such as when you change positions or reach for a glass of water). The volume cannot be left alone after being set. It feels like I have to check to make sure the volume is still where I want it every 15 to 30 minutes. They could have done a better job designing it, but eventually you get used to the frequent checking. I don't understand it at all. I've used a variety of headphones (for music, etc.) with similar volume settings, but none change the volume with just a light touch.Since I don't use the microphone, I can't comment. I can confirm that it neatly retracts inside the headphones so that you aren't even aware of its presence.Because of the volume control concerns, I would have given the headphones a rating of three stars if they weren't so comfy and if I weren't already a lover of Razer products. I might have even sent them back. In fact, after reading my own review, I think I should get in touch with them to ask whether this is actually how they meant it to function or whether I received a faulty set.

It was a little bit of a risk for me to purchase these headphones. Except for surround-sound noise canceling headphones that I could use for gaming, I wasn't really sold on any particular brand or design. They were trustworthy and worth every penny until lately, when they abruptly ceased to function. For games like Fortnite, PUBG, GTA V, RDR2, and others, I mostly used these. These make excellent starter headphones or headsets, in my opinion! In the end, they are priced somewhat below their true quality, making them a bit of a value! You should anticipate paying the same price if you want serious gaming headphones. While they lasted, these satisfied my desire for a better gaming experience as a competitive gamer (not a ninja or Twitch streamer). If I can't figure out why they suddenly quit working, I'll be purchasing a different pair to replace them. Like the majority of devices, I assume that these have passed the point of no return.

I honestly received more than I was hoping for, but I was aware that I would be getting a quick fix for my need for a headset. Despite being entirely worthless, the USB lighting is a cool touch. It is a waste of resources unless you want to look cool on stream, which is the only reason it didn't make it into the pros area.So, yea. Overall, this headset is fantastic and once I got used to it, it was quite comfortable. Updated to 5 stars I've determined that for the time being, this headset fulfills all of my needs, so I won't get one with a mixer or more capabilities. With more time, I've grown accustomed to the mic mute switch option, and now muting and adjusting volume isn't so unusual (note: I normally adjust volume from Xbox mixer settings instead of the volume adjuster on the headset).SYNOPSIS: I recently purchased the Hyperx Cloud Stinger, and while I'm currently giving it a rating of 4, I believe it to be a 5 Star Headset. I simply need some time to confirm this. Having just had the headset for about a week, I can honestly state that it has already been worth the money. It seems to function well with the Xbox One, is made with premium materials, is quite comfy, and has fantastic sound at a wonderful price! I don't believe there is a headset in this price bracket that is better than this one, and from what I've read, many people claim that this headset is superior to more expensive models. Since I'm not sure I'll get used to moving the microphone up and down to mute it as you have to with the Stinger (I'm used to a mute button by the controller which makes it fast and simple to mute), I may end up getting another Hyperx Cloud headset with an Audio mixer and mute button. I would also like to control volume settings without going into my Xbox audio settings, or hopefully Xbox makes a simpler option to this and muting. If your Xbox One controller has a 3.5mm connector, you won't need the adapter with this headset.Long Review (Continued Update; Final Product Rating Awaiting):They are quite comfortable for me (as a woman, most are uncomfortable for me and are too big, but this headset fits pretty nicely with no adjustments made). This is a terrific headset for both men and women since when it is expanded to accommodate him, it also fits my partner.I'm not an expert in audio or sound, but the quality so far is excellent. With this headset, I've primarily played Destiny 2 and Fortnite. I'm currently experimenting with various games to hear the differences between various noises and utilizing the Xbox One volume mixer settings to hear what sounds best. To alter the headset volume, headset chat mixer, or mic monitoring on the Xbox One, I can press the home button, select System, and then select Audio. You may set up all of your volume levels on the XB1 and then simply use the volume slider on the headset ear if it's too loud or silent because this headset does include a slider on the right ear. After playing around with it a bit more, I no longer feel the need to go back into the Xbox audio settings and alter them; instead, I have left them at a level that seems to be functioning perfectly. Though perhaps I might get used to it, I loved having all those volume control settings right next to the controller. Last but not least, I'm experimenting with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos for headphones after reading that you can utilize these capabilities with both surround sound and non-surround sound headphones and that it makes a huge difference. I'm presently testing this on the Xbox One to see if the sound quality changes.MIC/PARTY CHAT: I absolutely must use Xbox party chat. I use it to communicate with pals and my boyfriend, with whom I play video games in separate rooms. The first day I got these, I joined a party chat, and right away he said it was making a low-pitched noise or buzzing. Since only he heard the noise, it was very difficult for me to fix or comprehend because he isn't into technology or troubleshooting. He said the following day that he doesn't hear anything at all, but I'm still a little worried, so I'll try to join others at a party to see if they notice anything strange. Update: It appears that this problem may no longer exist and was caused by my boyfriend's headset, the fact that I am a member of the Xbox Insider Alpha Program, or both.MUTE FEATURE: Another thing that I might just have to get used to is the headset's method for muting the microphone, which involves pulling the mic up or down. I feel like this takes more time than simply pressing a mute button, which is how I'm used to doing it, but as I said, maybe I'll get used to it. Since he has a habit of raising his mic even when it doesn't have this option, my partner like the Stinger's mute approach more than I do.
