This is the best box jambalaya you can buy, in my opinion, having attended culinary school and working in restaurants for more than ten years. Until you tell them otherwise, the majority of people assume it is homemade. I increase the amount of meat used and don't need to add any additional seasoning. Instead of using water, I prefer to use stock because it makes the dish more flavorful. swift with simple to understand instructions.

We spent almost 20 years in Louisiana. I tested numerous combinations. We have been ordering and eating this since it is by far the best. Our favorite dish is the jumbalaya, but we really adore all the seasonings, the gumbo, red beans and rice, and dirty rice. It's all incredible. It's my go-to dish whenever we have visitors. Give it a chance if you haven't already. The flavor is incredible, and it's simple to make!

I got this based on the reviews since I was too intimidated to create a roux. I hesitantly added a cubed, sauteed chicken breast, a quarter of a yellow onion, some sweet peppers, and celery, then, just before serving (so it wouldn't turn rubbery), some hot, precooked kielbasa.Having formerly had a talented soul food cook in the family, I now knew what a decent gumbo should taste like. All the long-forgotten gumbo memories flooded back, and I instantly felt confident that, as long as Jambalaya Girl is holding my hand, I could succeed. My husband and I are discussing the specific items we want to use to prepare a seafood gumbo for two. Before tasting it, my husband wasn't all that intrigued. (I insist on an oyster jar!) The base is so tasty and rich that you can really paint whatever you want on it. (Also, when you stir the mixture with the water, there are no lumps, so that's one problem you won't have to deal with!)

My particular favorite item from the entire Zatarain's product line is the Smothered Chicken Rice Mix! If you prefer the authentic southern flavor of Gumbo, it is absolutely ideal with chicken. This mixture is the greatest and most distinctive; please don't alter it.This is my favorite, followed by Red/Bean Rice Mix #2, and I'd also like to see additional reduced sodium red beans for those of us with salt sensitivity. Gumbo and rice mix and Black eyed peas and rice mix are my third and fourth favorites, respectively. There is no doubt that I am a huge admirer of this fantastic product line, with Smothered Chicken being my personal favorite. Remember that everyone has various tastes and favorites, but if you like food prepared in the south, I urge you to try the Zatarain product range.Despite being a major lover of the product line, I wish there were more "low sodium" options available across the board.Five Stars for Zatarain

This red beans and rice dish was fantastic, and I was ecstatic to see that it included less sodium. Naturally, it's not as tasty as homemade, and it still has more sodium than I prefer, but it works well as a stand-in for this side dish when I have a craving for it. My favorite preparation method out of all the ones listed on the box is the one that includes celery, onions, and peppers. It will be a mainstay in my pantry, and I have already placed a new order for it.
Jambalaya is a dish that is known for its rice, so it is important to keep the rice from getting mushy. There are a few ways to do this. One way is to cook the rice separately from the rest of the ingredients. Another way is to add the rice towards the end of the cooking process.
Zatarain's Jambalaya Mix is a pre-seasoned rice dish that is easy to make. The rice is already flavored with the perfect blend of spices, so all you have to do is add water and meat. The cooking time is about 30 minutes, and the result is a hearty and delicious meal.
A box of Zatarain's jambalaya mix contains 8 servings.

Zatarain's jambalaya is a very popular dish in New Orleans, and it is known for being quite spicy. The dish is made with a variety of different spices, including cayenne pepper, and it can be quite spicy for some people. If you are not a fan of spice, you may want to try another dish.
