Do PA speakers sound good?

Depends on what you mean by "good." If you're looking for accurate sound reproduction, then no, PA speakers are not going to sound as good as a good set of studio monitors. To get the best sound quality from your PA speakers, it’s important to match them with an amplifier that can provide the right amount of power. The first step is to determine the wattage rating of your speakers. This information can be found on the speaker’s label or in the owner’s manual. Once you know the wattage, you can select an amplifier that can deliver the required power. Keep in mind that you may need more than one amplifier if you have multiple speakers. Pyle Megaphone Speaker PA Bullhorn - Built-in Siren - 20 Watt Adjustable Volume Control & 800 Yard Range - Ideal for Football, Soccer, Baseball, Cheerleading Fans, Coaches & Safety Drills - PMP20 Review:

It's a decent compact unit for the price. One that used "C" batteries was what I desired. It was purchased so I could have fun at work and just mess around with it. Regarding its volume, I'll just say that if you're in a peaceful setting with minimal background noise, you can hear this thing clearly from hundreds of feet away. Therefore, I believe it would be fantastic for marching band directors, coaches, and the like. places where you're the one speaking while most people are just listening to what you're saying. However, if you are in a noisy setting with a lot of background noise, such as loud trucks or machinery operating quickly, this won't grow loud enough to be heard over the background noise. It's a good product all around.

ION Audio Block Rocker Plus | 100W Portable Speaker, Battery Powered with Bluetooth, Microphone & Cable, AM/FM Radio, Wheels & Telescopic Handle and USB Charging For Smartphones & Tablets Review:

I bought this to use at the office. I didn't need this speaker because I had many others.I wanted one so that I could leave my noisy job as a school cleaner. I have other people with me that are really loud, but I don't want to abandon them.I use this for around six hours every night, and I charge it every three days. I use this to play Amazon music from an iPod that is connected to it. Most of us can hear the music because I have this on the loud side. We communicate through radios, and occasionally I miss a call because the music is too loud.I have fantastic sound when I play rock songs from the 1960s and 1970s. I'll buy it again if we ever drop it down the stairs and break it. I consider this to be not just mine but also ours at work. Some want to buy one once I reveal what I have. Its wheels and telescoping handle are nice features for transporting it around. This is typically on my cleaning trolley ( an old metal thing I turned into a cleaning cart).

ION Audio Tailgater Plus - 50W Portable Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker with Rechargeable Battery, Microphone and USB Charging for Smartphones and Tablets Review:

I travel with this speaker and a few FiFine wireless microphones (K037B wireless headset and lavalier lapel and K025 handheld. No affiliation with that company, but they are popular Amazon purchases so I wanted to mention this). I wanted something more potent than the conventional voice amplifier speakers, but I needed something that could run without being plugged in. I was aware that while this would be larger than ideal, it would also bring a lot of value. I can use any microphone that plugs in or can be modified to fit the 1/4" input, connect my laptop via the AUX input, and pair my phone or iPad using Bluetooth. With the Bass Boost on, the sound quality for streaming music is admirable at normal volumes; having separate volume controls for the master and the mic allows me to voice-over a video that's playing from my laptop; and to call guests back in from a meeting break while we have some background music playing; so set your expectations. The AM/FM radio feature isn't really of much value to me, but it picks up a nice signal and you can set 10 presets. Setup was simple and intuitive. I held down the Bluetooth button, and the speaker promptly appeared to pair on my phone.I'm delighted the included wired mic isn't hard-connected, so you can unplug it when not in use, or use different mics. The included wired mic appears serviceable, though I don't plan to use it unless I have issues with the wireless devices. After six hours of continuous playback of streaming audio via Bluetooth, the battery meter still showed 25% charge, which should be more than adequate for me. It has a USB port for charging (1 amp, so better than 0.5, but not as fast as 2.1), which I can imagine would have a minor impact on battery life. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wanted to at least make sure I could get 4-5 hours out of it (advertised 8-10).It seems to be very well made, and sometimes I find it hard to believe that the Tailgater cost $75 less than my Bose Revolve Bluetooth speaker. However, you can't throw this in your computer bag or backpack; I wish it were more compact, but that's not the product's or the seller's fault. As advertised (or better!).

Portable Megaphone Speaker Siren Bullhorn - Compact and Battery Operated with 20 Watt Power, Microphone, 2 Modes, PA Sound and Foldable Handle for Cheerleading and Police Use - Pyle PMP24PK (Pink) Review:

The neighborhood kids were not paying attention when they were at our house frequently, so I got this to help! Now, everyone's listening skills have improved when I start yelling in. While they are playing on the slip and slide, we shout in it, give "play by plays," and rate their performance, which the youngsters find amusing. The kids want to use it constantly, but I would advise making it an adult-only feature to prevent them from turning up the volume too high and shouting in one another's ears. Although it has good volume control, your shouting may offend your neighbors. You might get better results if you announce "drink time" instead. It's worth the fun and attempting to maintain order for $12!

EARISE T26 Portable PA System Bluetooth Speaker with Wireless Microphone, Rechargeable Karaoke Machine with FM Radio, Audio Recording, Remote Control, Supports TF Card/USB, Perfect for Party Review:

I first bought the Earise T26 to use as a single outdoor speaker for events like barbecues and parties, but I soon discovered it could be used for much more. My daughter sings in a band. She can benefit from using the wireless microphone and Karaoke feature of this speaker to polish her vocal abilities. She can practice wherever she wants because it is portable. She can record her practice and listen to it later to hear how she sounds because it can record on SD or USB drives. Great sound emanates from the speaker! I've utilized it with Line IN and Bluetooth. The speaker sounds fantastic as long as the source sound is powerful. An FM radio is available for listening. Each station is saved as a Memory setting on the FM Radio using an automatic scan to discover all the local stations. Only the most powerful channels will be preserved because there is no external antenna accessible. Future models should have a manual tuning feature that allows you to choose and listen to a station. The life of the rechargeable battery is excellent—it lasts for hours. The device is portable, and the carrying case is tough. For the unit, an update was required. The different features (Bluetooth/FM/Line in/Mic) and the power-on prompts were both in Chinese. I sent an email to the company, and they promptly replied with an update file that reduced the prompts to only confirmation tones. It performed flawlessly. Small Meetings/Presentations could be another application for the speaker. It's fantastic to have a remote control! You don't have to be close to the speaker to operate the features! The remote has a built-in storage space, which is a terrific concept. This is a speaker to take into consideration for its price and value if you're searching for a versatile portable speaker!

TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine with 50W Bluetooth Powered Speaker Wireless Microphones Handheld for Family Party, Indoor Meeting, Classroom Use, Public Speaking and Small Stage Performance Review:

This little PA system is a useful thing. I mostly use it for family karaoke, and it does exactly as promised. With the few usb ports and the auxilary inputs, the number of inputs is also good. However, this device only has 50W, and I wish it had more. Although 50W is a fine starting point, you may always use more, especially if you're utilizing it in a large room, karaoke bar, or party setting. There is no separate equalization, which is something that several reviews of this device have mentioned as being wonderful. The inability to adjust the bass, treble, etc., can make this product quite monotonous and boring. Not to mention that whatever is coming out of it can have a very flat tone. If you don't get a specific vibe from your outputs, there's not much delight in that. Because this system lacks any dedicated subwoofers or anything, you should expect some distortion at high volumes. Even a $50 Bluetooth speaker sounds better, in my opinion. However, I'm not going to let the noise ruin it altogether for me. If you're interested in entering the karaoke game, I believe this is a fantastic place to start.

Pyle Bluetooth Karaoke PA Speaker - Indoor / Outdoor Portable Sound System with Wireless Mic, Audio Recording, Rechargeable Battery, USB / SD Reader, Stand Mount - for Party, Crowd Control - PSBT65A Review:

We made a last-minute purchase after a friend's sound system failed. 100 guests attended my daughter's outdoor wedding, and we wanted to make sure they could all hear the ceremony. Great results with the Bluetooth music playlist before the wedding. Excellent sound quality and simple set up! We could clearly hear the bride and groom when it was their turn to speak, as well as our son who was performing the ceremony. Additionally, it was a fantastic speaker for the music at the reception!

WinBridge WB001 Rechargeable Ultralight Portable Voice Amplifier Waist Support MP3 Format Audio for Tour Guides, Teachers, Coaches, Presentations, Costumes, Etc.-Black Review:

This is the third such item I have bought in the previous few years as a mom of six who homeschools. I also have a PYLE-PRO PWMA50B 50 Watts Portable Waist-Band Portable PA System with Headset Microphone, Rechargeable Batteries, and a QFX Rider Portable Waist-Band Portable PA System Voice Audio Amplifier With Headset Microphone, USB/SD/3.5MM Inputs (Color Black). This device is much better. As voice amplification is its intended use, it is first and foremost loud and clear, which is undoubtedly a positive. Second, unlike the special charger that came with the other two portable PA systems, it charges using a conventional USB block charger. Therefore, rather of having to replace the complete device if you lose the charging wire, you may do it effortlessly. Additionally, it has the extra capability of reading both a microSD card and a USB flash drive, which is great if you want to be able to speak while listening to music, such as when working out. It also works for listening to audiobooks or just music while working, etc. It's simply a fantastic extra feature. It also functions flawlessly with the replacement microphone shown below, which is wonderful if you or your children frequently damage or misplace microphones. Flexible wired boom headset microphone for mic systems with a standard 3.5mm connector. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this wonderful little device!

Wireless Portable PA Speaker System - 400W Bluetooth Compatible Rechargeable Battery Powered Outdoor Sound Stereo Speaker Microphone Set w/ Handle, Wheels - 1/4" to AUX, RCA Cable - Pyle PWMA230BT Review:

I adore this framework. I struggled a little with *which* mic system to acquire for karaoke and small events before deciding on this one, and I couldn't be happier. This system, in my opinion, offers outstanding value for the money.Positives: For the price, the sound quality is quite good.- The microphone has a wide field of view, good clarity, and little background noise.- A variety of mixable inputs.- Bass/treble and echo actually have a major (and positive) impact on sound.– Loud for a system in a home.- Simple to store and move.• Onshore assistance that is created in America!Cons: - So far, none. If necessary, I'll update this review in the future. It's important to note that this setup works fantastically as a guitar amp when used with a VOX unit and an XLR microphone connected to the physical Voice input.

PRORECK PARTY 15 Portable 15-Inch 2000 Watt 2-Way Powered PA Speaker System Combo Set with Bluetooth/USB/SD Card Reader/FM Radio/Remote Control/LED Light Review:

I was VERY hesitant to purchase these speakers. I reasoned that since the reviews weren't really closing the deal, why not?I already have a 1000W theater system that rocks, but I wanted to add the cherry on top because I love my music blasting with loads of bass shaking. My expectations were blown away when I plugged these babies in! They become VERY LOUD! I mean, these things are blasting even with the volume down halfway. A picture frame and sconce slid off the wall due to the bass' excellent quality! When you turn up the volume, the sound quality doesn't suffer, which is always a plus.Additionally, the Bluetooth capability is great and, after initial setup, instantly pairs with your smartphone.Although the microphone's quality should be improved, it is enjoyable to "play DJ" with it.I would absolutely purchase these again if I needed to purchase another pair.A brief video showing the speakers in use while the lights are on.[...]
