Some of my doors it fit on fine, but not all. I placed and removed it from my doors a LOT, yet even without the adhesive pads, it didn't leave any scratches. I really like that these are individual hooks so I can put them anywhere I need them on their own. I've also included a photo showing how virtually inconspicuous it is from the outside of the door. It is also reasonably strong and seems capable of supporting a substantial amount of weight.

The narrower width fits my standard-size door well. These are what I bought to match my white door.With gold hooks that were too broad, too long, and poked out at an awkward angle on the outside of the door, I hung a hanging organizer with grommets in a closet.These hooks are nicely concealed and fit securely; only about 1/2" of the hook is visible.One thing to keep in mind when using it this way: The grommets were sliding along the hook and away from the door. To prevent this, I stuck a small furniture pad sticker on each hook directly in front of the grommet. This prevented the organizer from sliding forward and kept it flat against the door.These hooks can support the weight of my organizer, which is fairly heavily loaded.I'm quite pleased with these.

I wanted a place to keep all of my machine embroidery hoops because I had so many of them. They ended up in a heap when they were placed in a drawer. I also lacked a wall space. Because most over-the-door hooks have curved hooks, they can only hold a small number of hoops. Then I came upon these, which stick out straight. These hooks are brief, but there are two of them. My organizing and storage issues have been resolved. These are ideal if you need a little extra storage space but don't want to constantly be greeted with a mountain of clothing. The space they save by allowing you to hang anything over your doors is fantastic. I used to have an entire rack, but it was heavy and wouldn't fit over smaller doors, so I thought I'd try them instead. They were ideal for my dorm room, where preserving space is a primary consideration.As long as everything fits on the hook, they should be able to handle just about anything because they hang comfortably over the door and hold weight nicely. They aren't precisely stressed because I generally use them for hats and purses, but I have hung bigger stuff and they held.They are designed to fit a 1-1/2" thick door. Even if my doors are thinner and still function, this means that they might not fit well with doors that are thinner. They will simply be tilted, which can be quite inconvenient, but you can still manage. They are also eminently skinny. I should have checked the actual measurements before buying because I had anticipated larger pieces, but that was my own fault. Just be aware that these are thin and may give you problems if you're hanging something that might easily snag or become indented.These are, in general, very useful and a huge space saver. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a quick and affordable solution to put up some of their items to buy these or a comparable product, especially ones that would fit a door better.

To put our office bags (under 50 lbs.) inside of our hall closet doors so they wouldn't be on the floor, I bought this pair of door hooks for a very specific reason. I bought these in the hopes that the slender profile would be more practical than other of the larger solutions offered at my neighborhood home organizing store because our door doesn't have much clearance at the top.Thankfully, these hooks function nicely. The only warning I have is that the hook is rather short, so you might have to reach up farther to unhook things. Although it's a little difficult to discern from the product photo and size, this doesn't really bother me. Although I wouldn't advise hanging very heavy objects on this hook, it works nicely for towels, handbags, backpacks, and other similar items.

These should go on longer. I bought them to hang over the glass side of my shower rather than for a closet so I could store towels there. For most people, this wouldn't be an option, but in my case, I have a glass box with sliding doors in one side and a solid piece of glass over the bathtub. I had a longer, identical hook that was struggling to support the weight of several towels.These hooks work great, especially because my most recent IKEA towels have hook-loops on one edge, but I have to be careful while hanging or removing towels from them. A longer, heavier hook with a deeper curve would be easier to utilize one-handedly. Naturally, the top of the hook has a lot of room to move on the shower glass, which is why when I pull the towels, it shakes and raises. I did attempt to hang a spare hook over a bathroom door, however the hook prevented the door from closing. Additionally, because these don't dangle very far down from the top of the door, users putting them on doors rather than shower glass might find that they have to reach a little higher than they would like.
