I was dubious about their lengthy shelf life because they don't contain preservatives, but despite this (perhaps because they don't contain a lot of sugar), they have never gone bad on me. They tolerate freezing quite well, and when I defrost them (which doesn't take long if I simply leave them on the counter), they still seem to be wet and fresh.When I was visiting friends in Florida, I originally discovered these cookies at a grocery shop, but I was unable to get them when I got home. Thank goodness Amazon sells them! These cookies are more healthier while maintaining superb flavor compared to other granola bars, which are typically loaded with sugar and fat. They aren't as crispy as you may expect and they might stay together if you buy them while it's particularly hot outside, but I still adore them.I know... I know I'm gushing, but I really can't rave enough about these cookies. I have discovered them to be a terrific snack as I'm walking out the door, which has saved me - both money and calories - instead of stopping for fast food on the way to work. (And I wasn't rewarded in any way to do so - I'm just a major fan!) Although they aren't very sweet, the chicory and dried fruit add enough sweetness for my tastes. Since I'm sensitive to both clove and artificial sweeteners, I enjoy that this does not include either. Both clove and artificial sweeteners give me migraines that are severe enough to make me throw up. My doctor warned me that if I vomit again, the extremely high amount of blood thinners I must take could very probably result in my death. Most people only take half the dosage I do, so it's not a big deal for them if they shred their esophagus from vomiting, but it is for me. Sadly, this business is altering its products so that they now include artificial sweeteners. I'll have to quit buying from this company, like so many others, after around ten years.

These cookies, biscuits, or whatever are fantastic. To make them last, I try to keep my intake to a maximum of a couple at once, but it's challenging. They have a beautiful crunch and texture, the perfect amount of sweetness, and a ton of flavor. They go well with the correct cheese, but I also enjoy them on their own. They seem to me to be far more special than a cookie while still being sweeter than a cracker. Get great ratings when you serve these to guests.
