I adore this blanket for my child. Despite being soft and light, it keeps my baby warm and cozy. I have been using it ever since I purchased it, from the chilly morning and evening walks these days to the warmer months not too long ago (though with the AC on, of course). With baby clad in a few layers, it might also work perfectly for winters in California. Even after numerous washings, it continues to appear brand new and has so far held up well. The print is bright and adorable—light brown and taupe animals on an ivory background—and I, for one, really appreciate that the colors aren't gaudy or loud, as they typically are in baby and children's things. I particularly appreciate that it has a grey reversible side with nice, nubby bumps on both sides. The blanket will grow to be my infant's favorite as he gets older because the sizing is suitable for newborns to toddlers.

A lovely "comfy blanket" that belonged to my young granddaughter and was given to her as a baby shower gift has been cherished (and washed) for five years and is starting to show its age. It needed to be the same size, have a pleasing pattern (I chose owls), and most importantly, be soft and comfortable so that she would grow accustomed to it over time. Although it won't ever be able to totally replace her original, this blanket is being used in conjunction with it in the hopes that it will grow to be almost as beloved. When I realized how thin and minky-soft it was, I placed an immediate purchase for a second one for a different granddaughter. The pricing was fair for what seems to be a really excellent product; if it doesn't wash well, I'll have to change my opinion, but for now, I'm happy with my choice!

Compared to the muslin blankets available at Target, my baby appears to enjoy this swaddle more. For a tiny girl, the pattern and colors are lovely. The substance is tender. It is thin enough for my baby girl to be snugly swaddled on a chilly day in Hawaii's humidity (about 75–78 degrees F/24–25 degrees C), yet warm enough with a onesie or sleeper as the temperature drops at night. Additionally, it is the perfect size, and the flexible fabric allows for an even tighter swaddle for those newborns who enjoy being all cuddly.

This fit with the subject of our Christmas photo shoot, and shortly after, the baby was born. I wanted her "outfit" for the newborn photo shoot to coordinate with our previous color scheme. The color is exactly as shown. Bow perfectly fits a newborn's head. It is a very thin wrap. Not transparent but quite light. It was ideal for my purposes because I just intended to use it for the shoot. In no way would I use it to keep a newborn warm throughout the cold. I'm not sure how well it would hold up, but it might make a great summer blanket. It's useful to know that it's not particularly large, unlike muslin blankets, and that the pattern is just on one side. In that sense, it is more "unfinished." But once more, looking for something adorable for a newborn photoshoot or to take images of the infant in. For those uses, I HIGHLY suggest it! You'll understand after viewing my birth photo. It's ideal. I adored it. Later, I'll update with a photo.

This is wonderful, and I'm sure my son will adore it when he is born. The only issue I have is that the fabric snags and catches on everything. It is also just what I desired.My son is now four weeks old. He enjoys this! The only issue I have is that the button holes are a little slack and have already extended, making it easy to undo with a few kicks and stretches. We adore it, however I'm shocked at how quickly the buttons have stretched. The fabric of the sweater has also torn and pilled. I hang dry after moderate washing. Overall, this keeps him feeling at ease and prevents him from being tightly swaddled—he dislikes being swaddled!

These receiving blankets are rather typical or simple. Though in much cuter patterns, they are about the same size as the ubiquitous pink and blue ones you get from the hospital (or perhaps just a little bit bigger). Because they are basic flannel, drying them in the dryer may cause them to slightly shrink. I use them as burp cloths since my "happy spitter," who seems to shed ounces of milk after every feeding, is too strong for an actual burp cloth. A side note: Due to my children's delicate skin, I typically avoid using fabric softener or sheets, but I must use scent-free dryer sheets with them or the static electricity would be insane (though pretty standard for flannel). Overall, I'd suggest them. I use these a lot, they're a great value, and they're durable and reliable.

I've discovered that I prefer using really large muslin blankets for swaddling. The reason this received four stars is because I believe that if you are offering a blanket for babies, it should be large enough to swaddle one.Bringing in the car and setting up the grass for him to lay on have actually worked well for burp cloths.

Because they are so little, we use them more for quick grabs now that my infant is older. However, they are quite soft and on the thinner side, so they would be perfect for a lovey blanket. My favourite nursery rhyme for him is "The Fox." When he was a newborn, we used these as swaddles, and they worked beautifully because they didn't require much wrapping. Even at around 9-1/2 pounds and 21 inches, he could still be readily swaddled in them. As you can see in the picture, they almost completely enclose the cushion of a medium-sized chair.
