When I tried to remove the day lens from the Nightfox 120R, I had to use so much effort that it broke. I chose the Creative XP GlassOwl instead after sending them back. When I first opened it, Christmas was in the air. Everything was contained in a lovely case that was custom-molded to match the goggles. The case's contents were equally stunning. So I immediately began utilizing the goggles. I could see at a hundred yards away just as easily as I could see the house next door because the night vision was so sharp and clear. I spent around four hours playing with them. I played with them for approximately 2.5 hours the following night, and the battery life was still great. Amazingly, the video clip I submitted was taken directly from the goggles. The goggles' lenses became fogged up for a short while after being inside with the air conditioning when I initially took them outside. It clears up after spending a few minutes outside in the humidity. I'm from South Florida, so not everyone will experience that. These glasses are ideal for anyone who enjoys having fun, hunting, or long-distance viewing of animals. It's probably not for you if you need to keep mobile while playing air soft or war games. I honestly have no more positive things to say about the product than "perfect for spotting." You won't find a better quality anywhere for the price and all the extras they offer. Mind you, I did a lot of research before buying the Nightfox 120R and attempted to save a few bucks, but I ended up paying a lot for it. The large lens has super-fine threads that are off-center and a loose retention ring. I'll grant that for the money, the optics are rather decent. Excellent for bird watching, the home, etc. Impressive focus knob and other features, but I prefer bigger binos because they have a wider field of view (FOV). If I can manage to secure this front lens before moisture enters. Not sure if was a delivery issue, as these came fast and nicely packaged. When I get a chance to sit down and fix it inside, I'll try to reinstall the front lens ring. All in all, I thought these were superior to the shorty types from Wally World and cost less. These binoculars are worth a little extra weight if my hike is manageable. If I am able to repair the problem, I will update. Great value in a pair of binoculars. It appears and feels well crafted in my perspective. The night vision feature is fantastic. That laser actually travels a long way and does provide you with a sharp image at night. The binoculars don't provide you a particularly wide field of view, but for $40, I still believe they're not terrible. Just watch out for the straps, as they are quite simple to unfasten and slip off.

I bought this. I received it quickly. It seems well made though the eye shield is neither soft nor at all well fitting. Despite their claims you CANNOT use the viewfinder with glasses! Not unless you have VERY SMALL glasses!!!The REAL problem is the zoom. They CLAIM "3x magnification with 6x digital zoom" but IT AIN'T SO!!! All you get is 2X magnification and NOTHING ELSE. There is no 6x digital zoom at all. There's just 2x. Period.Now, as to the VIEW... The daytime filter allows you to use it during lighted condition with color view. Nighttime use? No color, of course. The variable IR lighting does a very good job. Note that unless you TURN ON the IR light source you won't see anything at all at night! The focus is a little clunky and takes getting used to but it works if you take the time to adjust it properly. The VIEW though... They claim 100 yards. It does rather better than that. I was able to view clearly things at least 150 yards away, probably farther. The view is clear, but beware! If you look at something with lights at night you'll be blinded.If it wasn't for the VERY WRONG CLAIMED MAGNIFICATION I would give it 5 stars, but I can't reward them lying about the magnification. The included manual makes it clear that all you get max is 2x magnification. The product listing is just plain WRONG. Shame on the seller for misleading customers!!!

I purchased it as a gift for a friend's 4-year-old kid who enjoys nature.The diopter adjustment and concentrated focus on the binocs are effective. They appear to be well-made and able to withstand the occasional blow.These items will be knocked around by kids without being purposefully attached to their hands. They are sturdy and well-made, and she has successfully utilised them on her little field trips. Rubber eye cups and bodies are helpful for holding the eye. The size of the lens is ideal. My binoculars arrived on schedule and in good condition. I bought mine because I frequently camp and work as a lifeguard in open waters. I needed something compact, useful, and reasonably priced because I know there's a risk I'll have to drop them in order to get to the water quickly.These are exactly what we need. The quality (and ease) of usage of these binoculars, together with the fact that they can also take images and video, really caught me off guard. 1st night hike in the darkest woods in my area, granted we had a waxing gibbous mood but still, it was like walking during daylight. Didn’t even need the infrared illustrator at all. When we turned it on, it lit up the tress and brush out to 20 - 25 feet at best.Close up depth perception is a bit awkward and you have to really be careful with your steps because if you don’t look straight down, you can’t be sure of your footing with roots, ruts and rocks. I’d walk slower and more carefully when using these. I could easily imagine a twisted or broken ankle.In a hunting or tactical situation, you will definitely have a significant advantage unless of course the other guys have no too.All things considered, these are great units at a great price and I highly recommend them.I’ll check back and let you know if that changes over time.
