Best Nursery Night Lights in 2020

VAVA VA-CL006 Night Lights for Kids with Stable Charging Pad, ABS+PC Bedside Lamp for Breastfeeding, Touch Control&Timer Setting, White Review:

Absolutely LOVE this light! It could easily pass for an Apple product bc it’s so innovative and chic and easy to use. I love how it can toggle between a soft yellow light or an LED white light. And I like how you can just tap it to go from bright to dim. No buttons or switches to fumble around for in the dark. And no batteries (it’s rechargeable) or cords so you can carry it from room to room as needed. I use it out in the living room on the back of the couch at night when my newborn twins are sleeping on their boppy pillows or in our bedroom late at night to tend to them in their bassinets so I don’t wake my husband up. I also take it into the nursery and set it on the changing table late at night so I don’t wake the babies up too much. I can’t speak highly enough about this light! Very high quality—they could easily sell this thing for $45-50 bc it’s really that nice. In a world of cheaply made crappy stuff it’s refreshing.

Vont LED Night Light (Plug-in), Smart Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Automatic Night Lights, Suitable for Bedroom, Bathroom, Toilet,Stairs,Kitchen,Hallway,Kids,Adults,Compact Nightlight, Energy, Cool White (6) Review:

Full disclosure: I purchased these as part of rebate offer from the manufacturer. Let me start off with the one gripe we have, the square shape can look odd next to some decor depending on your house and decorating tastes, but only when illuminated. Our house was built in the 60s or 70s and when we bought it a few years ago, we remodeled the entry way and the kitchen/dining area to update the interior a bit. Other than that, the house and its appointments (molding, room shapes, doorways, etc.) are all a little traditional. Our street happens to be one of the few in the city without any streetlights, so it can get pretty dark at night, even though we're a block away from a major intersection full of strip malls, fast food, and bars. The master bedroom is actually the only upstairs room and the narrow stairway can be hazardous in the dark. It has a light, but the brightness can wake kids in the downstairs bedrooms sometimes. Enter these wonderful little nightlights from Vont. They only take up a single outlet each, leaving the second one wide open, even fort he largest of plugs we had on hand. They're photosensitive so they only turn on at night (or if they're plugged in behind furniture in a shadowy corner). The amount of light they put out a little less than a low wattage small desk lamp, but's bright white LED light instead of the orange-tinged light from a standard nightlight. After a few nights, we can say that without a doubt these lights have made our bedroom stairs safer to navigate for us and the 3 year old who likes to sneak into our bed before dawn. If we had a need for more than the 6 that come in this package, I would certainly buy more.

Sycees Plug-in LED Night Light with Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor for Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Hallway, Stairs, Daylight White, 6-Pack Review:

Love these lights. My home has a lot of dark corners, and these lights has made nighttime navigation easier for me and my guests. Dark corridors are now friendly, perfect!

The clean modernist lines drew me to these lights, but the utility has made me love these. I bought the Warm White, 6-Pack, and I placed one each in 1) dining room, 2) living room, 3) dark hallway, 4) master bedroom, 5) top of stairs, 6) mudroom nearest backdoor. Each one is perfect and well used. The light sensor is accurate and they each illuminate only when their area is dark. Speaking of illumination, they don't simply switch off and on like other lights, these fade in or out according to the environment. If it's a little dark, their light is a little bright. If it is very dark, their light is very bright.

My bedroom's light was too bright, so I covered it with washi tape. Washi tape comes in all colors and patterns, but the light is diffused so patterns will not be discernable. Washi tape also has a low tack, so I can change tape colors without turning the lights into a gooey mess. I only covered the light in my bedroom, and I chose a salmon tape because red-tinted lights are easier on the eyes. If you do this also, make sure to take time to cover the sides of the light, because they also emit light (not just the front).

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would buy them again in an instant. They are effective and affordable

16-Color Toilet Night Light, Motion Activated Detection Bathroom Bowl Lights, Unique & Funny Birthday Gifts Idea for Dad Teen Boy Kids Men Women, Cool Fun Gadgets Gag Stocking Stuffers Review:

This little light has different brightness settings which make it last longer on the dimmer settings. Other toilet lights that don't offer this feature tend to burn out quicker because there's no way to regulate the brightness. This feature alone is a major selling point. The motion detection is also very sensitive so it turns on when everything is totally dark if I walk near it. So easy to install. Just bend the little arm with the light on the end around the rim of the toilet with the unit on the outside and you're done.
Seller maintained communication and followed through to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase.
Recommended and would buy again.

Uigos LED Night Light Lamp with Smart Sensor Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Daylight White, 0.5W Plug-in, 6 Piece Review:

The Uigos LED Night Lights are just what they are advertised to be. They're small outlet nightlights that are light sensitive. When things get dark, the lights come on. A photosensitive sensor right in the middle of the unit basically controls everything. If it's lit-up, even dimly-lit, the lights won't come on. Only when it becomes truly dark will they illuminate. The LED's themselves are bright enough, but they're not blindingly bright and only really provide enough light to see your immediate surroundings (and hazards), just as a night light should. There's no real way to just switch the light on, although I imagine you could probably cover up the sensor with a piece of electrical tape to achieve that if you wanted to, but there really wouldn't be much point.

The night lights themselves have a pleasing look to them, with rounded edges and a flat, mostly square face that fits flat on your electrical outlet. It's designed so that the second outlet is still accessible (a big deal with choosing these). They don't use much power (the boxes estimates it around "30 cents per year"...per light...I'm guessing). These are basically just night lights. I wouldn't buy these for any other purpose than that, to shed a bit of light in a hallway, kitchen or bathroom where you might find yourself plodding along in the dark.

AUVON Plug-in LED Motion Sensor Night Light, Mini Warm White LED Nightlight with Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Motion Sensor, Adjustable Brightness for Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Hallway, Stairs (4 Pack) Review:

The "auto" feature has worked well for us in the bathrooms and in our bedroom for getting up in the middle of the night. The option of 2 different levels of brightness is a very nice feature. We use the dimmer light option in the bedroom and one of our bathrooms the brighter light option works better. We put another one inside our wash room entrance and now we rarely have to turn on the overhead lights as that little light just inside the door does a really good job of providing the light we need most of the time.

For anyone that is considering these lights, we are using one in a wall plug that lays horizontal, and one that we've had to plug in "upside down" so the "controls" for the light is on the top as we wanted to leave something else plugged into the bottom receptacle that has a larger square head which would have blocked our being able to easily push the button for brighter or dimmer light on this light.

We are very happy with our purchase and will be ordering another set of 4 to add to what we've already got.

GE LED Night Light, 2 Pack, Plug-in, Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor, Home Décor, Ideal for Bedroom, Nursery, Bathroom, Hallway, Soft, 30966, White | Automatic, 2 Review:

These night lights are awesome. We got these because our daughter recently started sleeping in a toddler bed and we wanted to make sure the hallway was well lit in case she woke up in the middle of the night and wandered out of her room. We placed one in the upstairs hallway and another in the downstairs hallway, which also provides enough light to the staircase as well. I like the fact that the light is on the "warm" side, since so many of the LED night lights now are bright white on the color scale. The other feature I like is that they are not only auto on/off, but also self adjusting based on light level. In the early evenings, right around dusk, the lights come on, but remain dimly lit and then gradually increase in brightness as it gets darker.

BlissLights Sky Lite - Laser Projector w/LED Nebula Cloud for Game Rooms, Home Theatre, or Night Light Ambiance (Indoor) Review:

I’m totally addicted to this thing. If I’m going to spend a significant amount of time in a room I’ll bring it with me. It’s great for really anything, even watching tv or enjoying a magical bath. It’s quite beautiful and relaxing.

It’s easy to use and small, my only complaint in the placement of the buttons: whenever I pick up the unit or try to adjust it, I inevitably push one and have to figure out which one it was and then cycle through them again to get to where I was. And, this has become more minor as time goes on, I do wish the stars were blue or white instead of green. Some of the seller’s images make them look more along this spectrum, but, it’s still enjoyable. For the price this can’t be beaten, I’m seriously tempted to get one for every room.

Pro tip: try placing candles or other warm, soft light near the wall and center the projector on it. Creates some very pretty magenta and purple colors, and it looks even more like a nebula.

MAZ-TEK Plug-In Led Night Light with Auto Dusk to Dawn Sensor,Adjustable brightness Warm White lights for Hallway,Bedroom, kids Room, Kitchen, Stairway, 2 Pack Review:

When I went shopping for night lights I was amazed at the variety of designs available. It is such a difficult decision to choose the right one without trying a lot of different ones. I happened to be with a friend who choose a store brand that I also liked because it has a very large soft front surface that glows rather than shining a focused beam of light like most nightlights do. It also has a unique feature that lets the user adjust the brightness using a slide dimmer control to get the perfect amount of light for the location where it is to be used. I researched that design and found this one which has the same features but in some ways is even a better design. But it also has an issue you should be aware of.

My friend’s device is about twice the size as this one and has the power plug mounted in the middle of it so you can’t use it without taking up both electrical outlets. To me that is a dealbreaker. This one is not only smaller but it has the plug offset on the back so it can be used in either the top or bottom outlet without getting in the way of the other outlet. Both brands have a slider dimmer control but with this one the amount it dims is affected by the amount of light in the room, so I would call it a smart dimmer. If for example there is a lamp on in a nearby room this nightlight compensates for that additional light.

The photocell sensor on this nightlight is very sensitive, it turns off with the slightest amount of light nearby. That in itself would not concern me as much as how they located the sensor on the top edge of the nightlight so what happens is that the light from the device itself reflects off anything that is nearby, for example in my case the outlet is under a kitchen cabinet, and the reflected light tricks the sensor into thinking there is more light in the room than there is (because it’s sensing its own light). You have to be very careful about where you place this device because if it is too close to a light colored surface it may tell the nightlight not to turn on at all.

The dimmer feature is the biggest selling point. I bought several of these for use in the kitchen, laundry room, utility room and main hallway. The one in the hallway is located directly across from a bedroom door that has a wider than normal gap at the bottom, which means most nightlights would shine too brightly into the bedroom. With this one I can adjust the brightness to be just enough without being so much that it disturbs the sleeper in the bedroom.

These are well made and well priced. I like them.

Kids Star Night Light, 360-Degree Rotating Star Projector, Desk Lamp 4 LEDs 8 Colors Changing with USB Cable, Best for Children Baby Bedroom and Party Decorations Review:

This small globe is plastic, and makes a great nitelight if you keep the plastic shield on it without emitting so much light that it keeps my youngest awake. We like how the colors can change. Theres so many different selections to choose from. (The buttons that switch the colors etc areare a little confusing at first
Take the shield OFF and its an amazing dance of stars on the walls. About the size of a 6" in diameter ball. The top half of the globe/ball is where the stars project. If you put the globe in the center of your room, it will illuminate all your walls and ceiling, then the close or further you put it to a wall, decides how big, small, and how much the projectory will be- so the only adjustments to the size of the stars on the wall is moving the actual product.(A knob to adjust this would be awesome)
I do wish that it could gain and hold a charge so instead of having to use batteries if it's not connected to the power cord, it would run for a bit off the charged up globe.
Also, a 10-15min timer would be great and less wasteful.
Its a neat light and we like it. For the price it shouldnt have to use batteries but, I do love the stars and the look in my daughters eyes as she stares at them all around the walls and ceiling.
I plan on buying another- just as soon as we know if we are adding a boy or a girl to our little family. This will be amazing for a babys room!
