came swiftly and accurately as shown on Amazon. The bubble-wrapped multi-needle holder arrived with all of the needles in tact (a few reviewers complained of broken needles—I can see how that might happen, but mine was fine). This kit contains a LOT of materials for beginner projects, and the tiny packets of wool are tightly packed. While I learn how to felt, I'll use the wool from the package for colored highlights that I purchased separately in a large bag of white core wool. My initial foray into felting was this snowman. I used the shears, the awl, the finger cots, and two of the three different sized needles.I believe that this is a fantastic offer (and they just dropped the price, dang it). The whole box is jam-packed with goodies, plus there includes a small pamphlet explaining what all the materials are (as well as more products that you can buy for yourself and use) and a brief introduction to felting. The needles and shears were oiled to prevent rust. It was carefully packaged. By the time my gift arrived, I had already seen a number of YouTube videos, so I only needed to put it to the test. These appear to be all triangular needles in one of three gauges, though I'm not sure which. In the future, I'll purchase reverse needles, spiral, and star needles as they weren't included in the kit. Likewise carding brushes But for now, this is more than enough.I'm excited to create more things!

Needle Felting Kit - Wool Roving 36 Colors Set - Starter Tool Kit in a Storage Case and Foam Mat Included - Plus 15 Beginner Projects eBook with Instructions - Gift Idea Crafts Parade Review:

It has everything you need and is the ideal set. I never would have learned about finger protectors because I had only ever watched a few beginner's how-to videos on YouTube. They were undoubtedly helpful, and I completed my first assignment without ever harming myself. The range of colorful wool is wonderful. Literally anything you want can be made. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple needle felting turned out to be. I may now experiment without a fixed plan, but I'm grateful that the ebook came with it so I could put the fundamentals into practice. I've only completed one project so far, but I'm pleased with myself because I managed to finish it without breaking a needle. Since it came with so much wool, I really wouldn't mind purchasing a second kit to have a backup for all of my equipment.

Woolbuddy Needle Felting 100% Woolen Mat (Teal) Review:

I'm glad I bought it because it works well and doesn't have any annoying small black foam bits. Just keep in mind to rotate your work regularly when felting to prevent project pieces from adhering to the Woolbuddy and to wipe the wool pad in between changing wool colors. The pad is simple to clean with a sweater comb or, for best results, a sweater stone (from Dritz). When I switch colors, I usually flip the pad over and finish by cleaning the sides. The major issue I encountered was that the pad would move around while I was felting on it. I spent several days chasing the pad across my work surface before I realized that I could remedy the issue by placing a piece of no-skid shelf liner underneath the pad. Would like a larger size for bigger jobs, but this one is excellent in the interim. Because I would have regularly used 2 to 3 foam pads at a cost of roughly $6 each in the 2 months I have been using it, it has already paid for itself.

Woolbuddy Needle Felting Wool Roving Spring Color, Beautiful Felting Wool, Instruction Teach You How to Mix Color- Great for Arts & Crafts & Easy for Beginners (24 Wool kit) Review:

Love the colors, and each bag included a respectable quantity. It's okay because the major color I required seems a little smaller than the others. The bags' inability to be resealed is the only aspect I dislike. I try to put my wool for felting back in the original bag since I don't like it being loose in my box, but the adhesive flap eventually quits holding. Still, very high-quality wool

Wool Queen Unicorn Needle Felting Kit, Pure Queensland 70S Fine Wool, Felting Foam Mat, 2 Needles, Instruction & Videos-Kid Crafts Review:

I've never felted anything before, but after seeing so many adorable animals on Pinterest, I made the decision to get a kit and give it a try. Although some reviewers claimed the instructions were challenging to follow, I didn't find them to be at all challenging. Without any prior knowledge, I was able to construct my hedgehog in approximately an hour. I used a fresh kitchen sponge with a cutting board below because the package didn't include anything to "feel" on, and it worked great. I easily could have made the apple, but I didn't since I didn't like the way it looked. I used less wool because I made mine smaller than the kit recommended; it's around 1" tall. Be careful not to bend them when punching the wool, rookie mistake. I broke one of the needles nearly right away, but as I got the hang of it, I finished him just fine with the second one. Be careful and don't move too quickly since it hurts like a cow when you stab your finger with the needle, and you can definitely poke through your fingernail. I considered this to be a fantastic beginner's kit, and I'm struggling to decide what to make with the excess wool!

OPount Needle Felting Starter Kit Wool Felt Tools with 6 Colors Wool Roving Felting Basic Kit Review:

It was less expensive to purchase this combination than to purchase a wooden single needle holder and finger cots separately. Even though a set's quality can vary, analyzing reviews, descriptions, and images revealed that the goods in the sets appeared to be identical to those that were offered separately. Additionally, whereas the individual goods were not Prime, this item was.A plastic organizer with movable compartments holds the set. There are six sets of eyes, a gluestick (presumably to attach the eyes), snippers, an awl, eight needles (one in a holder and seven in a plastic container), a wooden needle holder, and finger cots in it. The kit also includes 6 different hues of roving (not pictured). The roving is beautiful and soft and works up well; however, I did not take a photo of it because I had already used some and the remainder was in my basket with my storage. To demonstrate size, the picture is one of the hues.My thumb and index finger fit comfortably in the finger cots. Since I have somewhat large hands, I was unsure if they would fit. They fit and function, though getting used to them is a different challenge altogether. It's comfortable to grasp and use the wooden needle holder. I used to use needles without a holder in the past and I still occasionally do so for fine detail work, but I do like the comfort of using a grip. I also have a plastic pen-style holder, though I like the wood one because it can accommodate three needles.I would suggest this kit to people who are just beginning in order to obtain a sense of the needle felting skill as well as, of course, to those who want a few more tools on a budget.

Needle Felting Kit for Beginners, Needle Felting Starter Kit with 6 Pcs Colorful Needle Felting Needles and Instructions, Wool Felting Supplies for Christmas, Children's Day, Other Festival and Crafts Review:

The nicest "gift wrapped" item I've ever purchased is this! Everything was well packaged and in the proper place. English-language instructions that are simple to comprehend and follow are provided. The one thing I can't say for sure is if there will be enough roving until I've completed all the tasks. For my convenience, the roving for each of the four projects has been divided into designated baggies. There is no ambiguity regarding which colors correspond with what project! The fact that the three distinct kinds of felting needles are color coded and that there are six needles total—six needles of each type—is really kind of the vendor.I purchased this kit for my own use, but if I knew any of my friends were interested in this style of felting, I would gladly purchase it as a present.arrived two days after my order!

PP OPOUNT 60 Colors Wool Roving Needle Felting Starter Kit with Wool Felt Tools and Foam Mat for DIY Needle Felting Review:

I wanted a wide range of colors to work with because I'm new to this craft. I was initially shocked to see such tiny packages when I opened the packaging. However, there was a good amount of each color after I removed the roving and allowed it to spread. If you are just getting started with needle felting and are looking for a decent beginners bundle, I would highly recommend them. The tools you receive won't let you down either.

Needle Felting Tool Solid Wood Handle Felt Stitch Punch Tool 10pcs Wool Fleting Tools Review:

I'm a novice in the field of felting. The handle feels cozy. The needle holders are simple to insert and remove from. I made a heart to practice, then I made myself a pair of slippers. I've been driving needles through some dense fibers without breaking a single one. Even a novice would think they are solid. I truly value the flexibility of being able to use one needle, or more, as desired.

Habbi Wool Roving Kit - 72 Colors Needle Felting Wool Roving Yarn Set with Wool Felt Tools Felting Supplies for Starter Review:

Fantastic needle felting starter package. For a little project, the diversity of colors gives you more creative options, yet the amount restricts the type of creation. Don't anticipate the supplies to be sufficient for a large, intricate creation like I did, even though some of the colors are similar enough to pass.

Can you use normal wool for needle felting?

Yes, you can use normal wool for needle felting, but the results may not be as good as if you use wool specifically designed for needle felting. The wool may be too slippery and not hold together as well, making it more difficult to needle felt.

How do you prepare raw wool for felting?

Preparing raw wool for felting is a process that can be done in a few simple steps. First, the wool must be cleaned and free of any dirt or debris. This can be done by hand or with a washing machine on a delicate cycle. Next, the wool is combed or carded to align the fibers. This step is important for creating a smooth and even surface for felting. Finally, the wool is ready to be felted!

How do you start needle felting?

To start needle felting, you will need a piece of wool roving, a felting needle, and a piece of foam. Start by poking the needle into the wool roving. Be sure to angle the needle so that the barbs will catch the fibers. Once the needle is in the roving, start moving it up and down. As you move the needle, the barbs will catch the fibers and start to felt them together.

How long does it take to learn felting?

To felt an object, you need to use hot water and soap to wet the fibers, then use your hands to agitate the fibers until they start to mat together. The whole process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Needle felting is a process of creating felt fabric using special needles and wool roving. The needles have tiny barbs that catch the wool fibers and tangle them together. The more you needle, the denser the felt becomes. How long it takes to needle felt depends on how dense you want the final product to be and how big the project is. A small project like a needle felted ornament might only take an hour or two, while a larger project like a needle felted picture could take several days.

Is felting difficult to learn?

No, felting is not difficult to learn. In fact, it can be quite easy and fun! The key is to have patience and to take your time. There are a few different techniques that you can use to felt your fabric, and you can experiment to see which one works best for you.
