I love doing my nails at home, but I detest having to soak my fingers in acetone to remove acrylics. These videos were intended to increase my mobility and perhaps hasten the process. The clips are fantastic, I'm delighted to report!I use acetone-soaked cotton balls that have been cut in half. Although acetone could leak out, I've found that to be user error. To get the cotton to work, you don't need to soak it too long.I can easily apply all ten clips, though I prefer to do five at once so I have one hand free. The clips may be adjusted to suit each of my ten fingertips exactly, even though I have huge hands and long, slender fingers.However, I've discovered that soaking in a cup of acetone takes almost as long as soaking nails, which can take up to 30 minutes. If the clips are given enough time, the nails will come off quickly and cleanly with much less effort. They have powerful springs that appear to be rather durable, and they are composed of a thick plastic. Therefore, there should be no quality issues, especially at a $6 price point.It's a foolish suggestion, but I really wish that the purple set could also be ordered with one-day shipping.Overall, a five-star product!

With merely a cotton ball, regular nail paint can be removed effectively.Here are some tips from a 48-year-old hospital RN and mother of three who is obsessed with NOT paying salons to do her gel nails. I've been doing my own manicures at home for myself and my friends and family for over a year now. For those of you who say it "doesn't take off gel nail polish well" or "it needs like 20 minutes."FIRST! Prepare gel nails for removal by scouring the polish's surface with an incredibly abrasive nail file (like an acrylic nail file, which costs less than $1 at any beauty supply store). Just a few swipes per nail are sufficient; you don't need to be meticulous or precise. Just rough it up a little. Even if you simply have a standard nail file, that will still work. You should prepare the nail polish so that acetone may penetrate and loosen it up faster.#1) Pour approximately one or one and a half inches of acetone into a very small GLASS container (such as a teacup if you don't have anything else on hand).#2) Place the SMALL GLASS CONTAINER of ACETONE in a tiny bowl filled with about 2 inches of "COFFEE-HOT" PLAIN WATER, and allow the acetone to warm for a few seconds (or not, it doesn't matter).#3) Dip the nails of one hand into the acetone, being careful to cover every single one. Then, bend your fingers to fully soak the nails.NOTE: If you have any small cuts or other skin defects, you might experience a brief burn or sting, but it will go away quickly. Persevere, it will get better ;-)#4) After around 7 minutes, inspect the nails to see if the polish is beginning to fully peel off (little flecks will be seen lifting outward away from nail)#6) After 7 to 10 total minutes, place your nails on a paper towel and use a cuticle stick or a metal nail scraper to scrape/peel off the polish. #7) If some small portions are harder to come off, soak that nail for one more minute. #8) If no or very few flecks of peeling polish are present, soak for 3 more minutes while you continue to drink your coffee and read your kindle (like me).Repeat steps 8 through 10 with the nails on the other hand, but this time swap out the hot water in the dish for cold because the acetone and hot water have cooled by this point.#9) After you're finished, carefully pour the remaining acetone back into the container. I reuse the clean acetone because there aren't many "flecks" in the acetone I find. Oh, but only use and pour acetone where you can handle a spill! in the sink, for instance. I always work with newspaper or a few paper towels underneath when I'm drinking coffee at the table or doing something similar because this WILL damage varnish from a table.WASH YOUR HANDS WITH A LIGHT SOAP AND WARM WATER WHEN DONE. If you plan to perform another gel manicure right away, don't apply any moisturizer. You'll have a white residue on your fingers after using acetone, which is highly drying. Wash it off.If your manicure is taking up to 10 minutes to remove, you undoubtedly have numerous coats on. Some manicures remove more quickly than others (like me). I never exceed a 10-minute soak off for each hand when using this procedure. Yes, you can use both hands simultaneously (with larger glass containers), but I find that I can't use both hands to turn the pages of my Kindle or drink my coffee at the same time. It would be boring to not use BOTH hands for ten minutes or so, so I only use one at a time when I'm sure no one will interrupt me. If done correctly, there should never be a need to exceed the 10-minute limit.I've tried the peeling it off way (which damages my nails, so I quit), the cotton ball and foil approach (which is silly looking and not as effective and difficult to do by yourself), and this method, which I've been doing for more than a year now, and it works beautifully!WHALAA! This product works like a charm! On my fingernails, I only use a clear coat, but I prefer to put a variety of colored polish on my toes. Simply applying a cotton pad to the nail with a small amount of ZOYA on it melts the polish right off. The polish disappears in just two seconds! And it has a wonderful smell.The flipper top doesn't really appeal to me. Although it stops spillage, it only delivers a tiny amount of remover, thus I have to repeatedly pump the top to get enough on the pad. I gave up and simply unscrewed the top so I could use it like a regular bottle.Nevertheless, the Zoya Remover is worth the extra money and minor inconvenience of the pump top. It definitely makes changing nail polish less frustrating.

Amazing polish remover, this! I kind of imagined it would effectively remove Ella Milo nail paint. The polish comes off so quickly and completely without any vigorous rubbing if you follow the instructions and brush some on with a cotton ball and let it set for about a minute. I tried it tonight for the first time to remove another brand of polish. I had three layers of lacquer on, and with just a light rub—no tugging—my nails were clean. In fact, the essential oils in this remover hydrated my nails so they don't feel dry either. No more acetone nail polish remover-dried-out nails. Although I have a keen sense of smell, I noticed a few reviews that complained about the product's smell. To me, it smells nice—like essential oils, not like chemicals. Fantastic product! When I tried the foil method to remove my gel nail polish once, I was so frustrated that I almost gave up. Particularly while attempting to wrap another finger, they would frequently fall off. They tore and slipped, making it difficult to monitor the development. It irked me! Another set of them was purchased through a different sender, but it would take two months to arrive. Though my gel polish lasts so long, I still wanted to switch up the color. I chose a prime seller as a result. After two days, I received them. They were so much simpler to use! They don't come off, and the cotton is held firmly to your nail. Simply cut some cotton squares into four pieces, totally saturated with pure acetone, lay the cotton on my nail, pinch the clip open, insert your finger all the way while avoiding the cotton, and then release the clip after your nail is fully inserted. They are simple to open and check on the status of. If you lightly buff the top coat while covering your nails with a heating pad set to low, it will expedite the removal process. The foil taps heat, which speeds up the breakdown of the gel by the acetone, and that is the only negative of the clips. I'm pleased I got a second pair so that my daughter and I would have enough in case anything were to happen to one of them. Happy with this purchase a lot!

It's great so far—I've only used it once. I removed my 3.5-week-old gel manicure in the following ways: 1. used a nail file to remove the manicure's gloss 2.I used the lotion on my other fingers after testing it for five minutes on my pinky nail and finding no discomfort. 3. I waited for approximately 7-8 minutes, but in retrospect, I should have waited for around 10 minutes. 4. Used a scraper to remove the polish from the nails.It took me approximately 20 minutes in total, which is excellent. Since this manicure had three layers, I could have left it on longer and avoided scraping. Much quicker, in my opinion, than soaking or using foil. Avoid getting it on your skin at all costs; I accidentally got a tiny dribble of it close to my cuticle, and man, did it burn.
