My own nails were in bad shape as a result of having acrylic nails for so long. They appeared to be thin, ridged, and hardly present. Rejuvacote literally comes to the rescue! I did as instructed, coating my nails every day for seven days, cleaning them, and repeating. This coating is extremely shiny, smooth, and durable, more akin to a plastic seal. Even after seven days, it never turned yellow or appeared dirty. I had strong, even nails by the end of the second week. To help the Rejuvacote produce stronger nails, I had continued to file the thin, frail nails. Even though my immaculate nails were still short by week three, they were/are more stronger than they have ever been, and I just top-coated them with the product.Never again will I be without Rejuvacote! My nails now look better than they ever have, and I have no desire to return to false nails at all. My actual nails appear to be real, at least! I purchased this to replace the exceedingly pricey Pink Gel Coat, which I also adore. I wanted something that would just slightly brighten up the color of my nails without being garish. I have to emphasize this again. It gives my nails a faint pink tint, which I adore. In sunshine, the color is even more vibrant. Additionally, the nail polish fluoresces in "Black lights" just way white clothes does. It provides an additional layer of defense, thickening and strengthening even thin nails. I have Beau's lines, which are horizontal ridges where my nails develop. My nails break off below the quick as they reach the thin section of the ridge, which is really painful. My nails aren't breaking as frequently as they used to since I started using this (about two weeks ago). My pinkie's nail partially broke below the quick just before I got this. I quickly put this coat on when I got home and added several more coats throughout the evening. By taking care not to completely tear it off, I was able to keep it until it had grown out a little more, sparing me the painful process of having to wear a bandage at the tip of your finger that never stays on. I will definitely repurchase this, and I also heartily advise anyone who has thin or fragile nails or who wants a little bit more color than their natural nails to do the same.To compare the two brands and demonstrate how they appear under black light, I have included images. I think the picture doesn't do the other brand credit because they look so similar to me.Strengthens nails to prevent breaking; lovely color; far lower cost than competitor brand; (fun pro)fluoresces under ultraviolet or black light.Cons: I'm not sure yet. Since my nails never grow (autoimmune issue). While some of my nails are still doubtful, others are now VERY STRONG. Most of my nails' lines were corrected by this two-step procedure... Saves nails! I enjoy having better-looking nails. I used to file my nails many times a day, no exaggeration, but now that I apply this top coat daily or at least 4-5 times per week in addition to DABY (dabu), I might only file once per week. Not because the first bottle is empty, but rather to ensure I have more once it is, I've just bought a second one. My nails were getting exceedingly fragile at the age of 60. I might pull out a split nail instead of the plate I was reaching for in the cabinet. They appeared to be developing in layers, with the top two or three being peeled out to reveal a very frail and thin nail. They looked awful. You could see if I had taken a before photo. My nails were suffering from all the activities I engage in, including fishing, kayaking, gardening, woodworking, and house maintenance. I purchased some of this and follow the instructions properly (two coats Day 1 and one coat every other day until Day 7 - remove and repeat). The transformation after two months is astounding. (On Day 2, I added a thin coat of beige color to cover off the filth that I regularly have under my nails!) My lifestyle dictates that I keep my nails short, but at least they don't split anymore and look healthy! I found it effective. We hope it works for you as well. Definitely worth the cost.

Although I am pleased with the product, I only awarded it four stars because it does not, as said, encourage growth. It serves to safeguard the nail, nevertheless. Unlike other polish that you can peel and pick at, it is quite tough. This is difficult to remove. That is what gives the nail its strength and protection. My nails haven't miraculously gotten longer or thicker, but I believe they are stronger than before. My objective of not wanting to bite my nails is achieved. I would love to quit biting my nails, let them grow out, and have gorgeous nails that I don't feel self-conscious about.***Update***gives excellent protection. I hardly ever post reviews, but because I've been biting wolves for at least ten years, I find it surprising that it took me so long to make the effort to purchase anything like this to curb my irrational habit. I only wish I had discovered these polishes sooner. My nails crack and peel, sometimes halfway down, and after they've peeled, they become really weak. The ridge filler applies easily and has a gorgeous matte finish. The clear top coat follows, which helps to seal the nail and avert future deterioration. The thinnest areas of my nails must be gently filed away as they grow out, but the key advantage is that this substance inhibits any additional peeling so my nails CAN grow out.
