Yes, Goo Gone does remove Gorilla Tape.
No, mounting tape will not ruin walls. In fact, mounting tape is designed for use on walls and will not damage most surfaces. However, it is always best to test the tape on an inconspicuous area of the wall before applying it to the desired area.
To remove mounting tape without damaging a wall, use a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive. Then, use a putty knife or your fingers to slowly peel the tape off of the wall. If there is any residue left behind, use a mild soap and water solution to remove it.
To remove mounting tape, first lift one end of the tape and peel it back slowly at a 45-degree angle. As you peel, use a putty knife or your fingernails to loosen the edges of the tape. If the tape is particularly stubborn, you may need to use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Once the majority of the tape is removed, use a clean rag soaked in alcohol to remove any residual adhesive.

I needed these sticky strips, and they were perfect. I don't live in Illinois, yet I have an iPass from the Illinois toll road. I couldn't take the old ones with me when I bought a new automobile since they were too tightly secured to my old one.I made a few trips through Chicago and eventually started holding my iPass transmitter while navigating toll roads. The only places (that I am aware of) where you can receive replacements in person are either the Jewel Osco stores in Illinois or the iPass offices in the oasis, and I never manage to be there when they are open.It was fantastic to see these on Amazon because I could order them right away and take my time waiting for them to come.I put them on as soon as they did arrive. In order to wipe the windshield where they would be attached, the kit included an alcohol pad. After doing that, I adhered them to the windshield. The whole process went smoothly and stuck! The directions did not mention trimming them if necessary, though, as far as I can tell. The 3.5 cm strips on my windshield are attached to the 2 cm strips on my iPass, which looks a little strange because my iPass has smaller strips than expected. Oh well, I made a mistake.I would suggest them to anyone who requires extra strips, whether it be for a new vehicle or for more vehicles than what is typically included with a new iPass.

Works incredibly wellPermanent is a word that is today used too casually, and manufacturers frequently don't seem to understand what it means. Scotch Permanent Mounting Tape shows up at last. I intended to mount a power strip bar to the interior wall of my desk in order to clear up the clutter on the floor and lower the danger of mishaps such as an unintentional shut-off. Since screws would be challenging to use, I was hoping to use permanent two-sided tape instead.Even with thick striping, every other two-sided I attempted entirely failed since it took less than 20 minutes for the weight of the power bar and the strain of the power wires to pull it apart. I just wrapped the tape around the borders and pushed it on after receiving it. It continues to hold. I don't have to worry about it coming unglued when I plug and unplug. This is the long-awaited, long-lasting answer to the complex, challenging issues.I hope that the video and my remarks will help you decide wisely.Yours TrulyThe Squirrel Whisperer, Tom

Since I don't have a hammer drill, just a standard drill, and it takes hours to drill into brick, I was really dreading having to hang my new house address numbers, but I found a solution that seems to be working well so far!The firm didn't advise using this tape because the brick is highly textured, but I still wanted to give it a try.I placed the tape directly to the brick instead of first wrapping it around the object I wanted to hang, pushing it in as far as I could to make the most contact with the brick. I then adhered the (lightweight) address digits and signed by applying pressure for roughly 30 seconds. There have just been a few days of rainy, 50°F weather so far, and everything seems well. As time passes, we'll see how it performs; if anything changes, I'll update. Though it doesn't hold and I have to glue it back up, at least it will be a simple, if temporary, remedy.Update: I haven't used this tape to attach my house numbers on the outside of my home for six weeks. The number plaque hasn't budged or shifted at all so yet. We've experienced a lot of rain throughout that time, including historic flooding in the region, freezing weather, and some snow. The way this tape adhered to the strongly textured masonry without shifting at all is really impressive.Edit 2: My address plaque has been hung for seven months, and the Scotch mounting tape is still sturdy.

The absence of details on the cassette on Amazon's listing startled me. Search for "3m 4011 datasheet" to learn more about the tape than you ever wanted to know. 3M has one that discusses the tape's construction, adhesive testing, and bondline elongation results, among other things. In terms of weight, the packaging suggests using 4 inches of tape for every pound it is designed to support and can be used to mount up to 5 pounds altogether. Additionally, the tape "may cause damage if removed," according to the box. If you need to take the attached object off, carefully cut the tape between the adhesive sides with a knife inserted behind the object. The tape is almost 1 mm thick, so depending on what you use it for, there might be a bulge. It is 0.045 inches thick. If you need to fit it in a small space, take off a corner first because it is a nuisance to remove the red protective coating. This tape has been quite helpful to me during my use of it. I've used it to mount surge protectors to the underside of desks to relocate them out of the way and to connect an Oxo Steel Kitchen Tool and Utensil Rack to a metal backsplash (where I couldn't screw into it). I intend to keep a roll of it around the house because I'm sure there are countless additional beneficial uses for it. Because it is less permanent and easier to clean up, it is almost as helpful as super glue.UPDATE (7/13/2011): I've been mounting the tool rack with this for more than six months. It does function, however because of the excessive load I'm applying to it, the tape creeps. It sags to the point where the utensils fall off after roughly 3–4 weeks. I am not docking a star because I am aware that I am carrying more than I should (I have several pounds on a square inch.).I just learned about 3M's 4929 Very High Bond Tape. This thing has absurdly high strength (110 psi shear). It hasn't moved while I've used it in low-temperature, high-stress industrial settings (-20C). Currently not available on Amazon, this tape must be purchased from an industrial supply firm like McMaster-Carr ($20 per roll). I'm going to try substituting this for the 3M 4011 tape to see if it performs any better.

For a variety of reasons, I've bought around ten sets of these. They are excellent at holding rugs to the floor, posters to the wall, and mirrors up. To get the bottom rug borders to stay in place, I use the entire packet. Make sure you employ enough of them to complete the task. Posters look fantastic with one in each corner! The only thing I've noticed that doesn't really function (and I feel should) is that I attempted to raise it off the floor by attaching a 5-outlet power strip to the wall along my baseboard. I made sure that the bottom was flush and smooth, and that none of my cords were pulling or tangling on the strip by using six mounting squares (I secured cords above strip with my cord wall stapler) After about a week, the outlet strip slips off the wall on at least one side. The same thing occurs despite my attempts four times, each time using new mounting squares.

This micro tape is just incredible. Although I have dogs that sweat enough to make a fur coat, I can peel it off, wash it, and throw it back on and still get the same result as before. I put a small strip next to my bed so I can stick my phone to the wall and watch my shows before/while I fall asleep. I've been sprinkling inconsequential tiny strips around my home, such as over the kitchen sink for when I'm doing the dishes or on the bathroom mirror for when I'm getting dressed in the morning. What a brilliant product.

I got the tape to make it easier for me to repaint my automobile after removing the different badges from it. Initially, I had planned to use adhesive of some sort, but I was concerned about the mess. This tape provided a simple, clean solution. I had to reduce the tape to be approximately 1/8" wide because I had extremely thin surfaces to attach to. I was able to slightly shape the tape over the curved surface of the Toyota symbol thanks to its sufficient flexibility. The protection on one side of the tape had to be removed, which was the only issue. It's difficult to get rid of. I attempted separating the tape from its backing with my fingernail, but I was unable. I then managed to peel the backing off the tape using a tiny, pointed object like a dental tool. After that, all that remained was to attach the badges to the vehicle. They appear nice, and there are no worries about oozing glue. I'm thrilled with the result. I'll have to hunt around for further uses for your tape. In the upcoming months, I'm confident I'll discover new uses. It's comforting to know that I have it available for use when necessary.

My stainless steel magnet bars were mounted inside my kitchen cabinets using mounting tape. I bought the 30 lb. Gorilla tape at the same time as the first magnet. I mounted a total of 3 16 "Two strips of 30lb tape on bars might have been a little overkill, but one would have sufficed. I figured Lowes might have something when I ran out after two bars, so I bought 30lb of Scotch 3M, which was a poor idea. The Gorilla tape is thick and supple, so it can withstand some bending. Clean cuts result when using the 1/4." "was simple to remove from the bar's bottom. The backing's sole drawback is that it's difficult to remove, but this means that it will stay in place while you apply the gorilla tape. As I was applying the tape, the 3M backing broke off and bubbled, and the tape pulls and stretches, making it challenging to keep straight. Not 3M, but Gorilla. I regret that Amazon did not purchase additional Gorilla tape.

I have nails, unlike all the one star ratings. The tape backing can be removed, albeit it is a little challenging. The strongest double-sided tape I'm aware of is what you ordered, so of course it will stick to everything, including the package. Additionally, I have no idea what folks mean when they claim that it doesn't stick to anything because it worked well to mount a shelf to a wall that is 12 inches long and can handle roughly five pounds. With all the cords pressing down on it, it may weigh two pounds and holds my wifi router to the wall. It hangs a one- or two-pound rechargeable hand vacuum and charger. Every time, I just use a cloth to clean both surfaces. Just so you know, the main reason I buy this is that it adheres to any surface, even carpet and clothing. Therefore, I add a little of this on any furniture that my cats prefer to scratch, and because they detest the sticky feeling, they never go there again. And no, it doesn't damage them or remove their fur, so stop worrying.

Excellent for my intended use (horizontal affixing of peripherals and stationary gadgets to desks and shelves)Although there are better double-sided tapes available, this is by far the finest for my use.For two reasons, with one restriction, this is great for attaching items to desks and nightstands. This tape DOES NOT adhere to foam. When you remove it, there won't be any residue.-It adheres firmly, but you must allow it to sit (in some situations, weight or grip the object you are fastening).Certain items moving around my desk annoy me. This is how I attach a QI dock to my bedside, a HOTAS, phone dock, mousepad, and fingerprint scanner to my computer desk, a battery charger to a bookcase, and other horizontal-mount use cases.Nothing works better for these purposes. I needed to unstick things when I moved into my new house. The 3M external grey tape was difficult to remove, and the 3M doublestick foam tape left residue. This gives my desk's stationary items just the right amount of stickage, clings to a wider variety of surfaces (in my case, laminated presswood desk surfaces, metal, and a powder-coated desktop keyboard tray), and leaves nothing behind when I pull it out for a move. It comes off without too much fuss if you need to, but it holds perfectly for everyday use. This is undoubtedly a specialized use. But it excels at this particular usage more than *anything*. This is what you need if you want to glue things to your desk. The only drawback is that it takes some time for most materials to establish a decent adhesion to it. That's acceptable for the primarily horizontal purposes I have for it. This suggests that it might not be the best choice for surfaces like walls. However, this is your man if you want a low-key and successful method of stiking things to horizontal surfaces.
Gorilla Tape is one of the strongest and most versatile tapes on the market. But how long does it actually last? Under normal conditions, Gorilla Tape will last for up to 12 months. However, if you are using the tape in extreme conditions (such as extreme heat or cold), it may not last as long. Gorilla Tape is also UV resistant, so it won't degrade in the sun. So, if you need a strong and versatile tape that will last, Gorilla Tape is a great option.
3M tape is one of the strongest adhesives on the market and can hold a surprising amount of weight. Depending on the type of tape and the surface it's applied to, 3M tape can hold anywhere from a few ounces to several pounds. When applied to smooth, clean surfaces, 3M tape can provide a strong, long-lasting bond that can support a fair amount of weight.
Gorilla Mounting Tape is a very strong, double-sided tape that can be used for a variety of purposes. It is great for mounting pictures, posters, and other lightweight objects to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. Gorilla Mounting Tape can also be used to repair ripped or torn paper, fabric, and other materials.
Gorilla Mounting Tape is easy to remove when you need to reposition or remove it. Simply peel it away from the surface, and it will come off cleanly without leaving any residue behind.
Most mounting tapes are removable, but there are a few that are not. If you are unsure if your tape is removable, test it in an inconspicuous area first. To remove the tape, slowly peel it back at a 45-degree angle. If the tape pulls away easily, it is probably removable. If the tape tears or leaves a sticky residue, it is probably not removable.
