I spent the day unsuccessfully attempting to get the Hue Outdoor motion sensor to function after receiving it. Although it's simple and painless to connect the outdoor sensor to the Hue app, the ease of usage stops there. The light sensor is always set to 1 lux, regardless of the lighting conditions. After doing some research online, it appears that this is a known problem, and one fix was to take it out of the Hue app, reset it, and then bring it back in. For me, this strategy didn't work. There will soon be a software update that is supposed to repair it, so I'll wait to see whether it actually does.Another issue is the sensitivity setting. The sensitivity of the Hue indoor motion sensor can be set to High, Medium, or Low. Instead, the Hue outdoor motion sensor incorporates a slider that allows you to fine-tune the sensitivity setting. The problem is that the sensor seems to be too sensitive no matter how low you set this option. The sensor activates each time a car passes my house. Once more, it occurs even when the sensitivty option is set to the lowest value. The user's only choice to lessen annoying notifications is the sensitivity setting. But it's ineffective. Therefore, depending on how distant the sidewalk is from your home, this gadget will alert you when both cars and pedestrians are nearby.Revised: 03-14-19The light sensitivity problem was resolved by the firmware update. The light sensor so now reports the correct readings. The sensitivity issue still exists, as the lowest setting picks up on pedestrians on the sidewalk and moving cars on the road. The sensor interprets sun-caused shadows as human movement when they are picked up by the sensor. triggering the motion sensor in the process. To reduce these false positives, you will just need to experiment with different placements. The temperature sensor, though, appears to be reliable.

In my dog-grooming business, I can't hear a car approaching when the dryers are running. This tiny, basic gadget is incredible! I can definitely see the brilliant blue LED lights even if I don't hear it (which hasn't happened yet). I can save so much time if I am aware if someone is coming to pick up their dog so I can have the dog's collar on and their invoice ready. When dogs see their owners before I do, they may get irrational on the grooming table and pose a risk of harm from clippers or shears that are too sharp. I ALWAYS have advance notice of visitors in this way. They were relatively simple to operate and pair. For my own protection, I have since installed transmitters in other locations on my property. These make me feel a lot safer at work. The grooming room receiver, driveway transmitter, and rear fence transmitter are all visible in the photos.

The Htzsafe Solar Driveway Alarm System-1/4 Mile Long received a review from customer. I've included a few images for size reference. A mouse of average size is put next to the device. Pictures of the unit put on my front steps and on a tree close to my driveway are also provided. Moreover, a picture showing how the sensor is attached and the distance from my house where the sensor ceased functioning (ball and socket ).I haven't had any issues with this sensor or alarm unit thus far. It is simply mounted with 4 screws. One word of caution: the Phillips head on the screws has a tendency to strip out. I really complained to HTzsafe via email, and they promised to send new screws along with the sensors to solve the issue. When mounting the sensor on the tree, I tested the detecting area by rolling a huge exercise ball through it. This method was incredibly effective, and I no longer had to worry about animals sneaking through at night. (you get the picture) Cats, possums, tiny dogs Initially, it was on low, and I frequently got roused up by it.I put it to the test on my steps and discovered that the electricity was always present to sound the alarm even though the location is constantly in the shade and has dreary, wet days. If you're unsure of how far away it can be positioned from the receiver, look at the picture I've included of the road; you can't even see my house because it is actually hidden by a curve. I used a phone app to measure the distance, and it came out to be.23 miles, which is about the claimed 1/4 mile, but there were several impediments in the way, like trees and that turn. This alarm has my recommendation. Placing the unit so that it can look past the movement you want to capture is the one thing to avoid doing. The sensor had to be angled upward on the steps so that it would only detect movement there and not in the yard on the opposite side of the steps. The receiver can play a variety of songs, but it also contains a few simple ones in case you don't want a musical alarm.

At home, I have two desktop computers and two laptops. I got the idea for this business when I sent pictures to be printed for a photo book and they turned out awful. Low brightness, low contrast, and plain awful. I made the decision to check it on each screen since I had a copy of one of the digital images I had sent to be printed. On every screen, it appeared differently, and the only screen where it appeared correctly was the one where I had edited and uploaded the images for printing. All were calibrated using the datacolor software, and I was pleased with the outcomes. When used with the calibrated screens, I thought it performed really well. a whole lot superior to what I had. I then made the decision to use a test digital photo on each screen to see how close to being equal all the screens were. Despite being close, there were a few differences, but they weren't too significant. One of the computers was poor, while three of the screens appeared to be in reasonable condition. I recalibrated the laptop twice more with the same unsatisfactory outcomes. The laptop I bought for my wife is only a few months old and hasn't even been used that much.Nevertheless, after doing some study on my problem, I discovered a wealth of both helpful and perplexing information. I went back to the Amazon website to read reviews that Spyder5 Express owners had left. I saw several reviews where people complained that the datacolor program was only average and that there was far better software out there. Popular software included Argyll and DisplayCal, which cooperate. While Argyll is the program that handles all the work, DisplayCal is the user interface.I reasoned that I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a shot. Amazingly, after completing the calibration operation, the laptop that had very low performance came to life once more. The two-hour calibration process is certainly worth it because all of my screens now appear much better after I recalibrated them with this new software. I was astonished at how well it revived the malfunctioning laptop. In my perspective, the Spyder5 Express performs admirably when used with DisplayCal and Argyll software instead of the suggested program. By the way, DisplayCal and Argyll are free! The website does request donations, and I will undoubtedly contribute because of the excellent product they offer. Now that I have new computer screens, I am overjoyed. Now, when I get my images professionally printed, what I see on my screen will match what I expect to see.

I'm happy that I bought this for my office door. We tried one with a motion sensor, but it didn't pick up the door. Only when the door truly opens does this sound occur. Since we couldn't drill anything into our metal door, the sticky pads worked perfectly and have held up quite well. We just needed something straightforward, so I haven't tried any of the different sounds, although I can tell there are many from reading other reviews. I really like being able to move the speaker around and unplug it from the device. When I'm the only one in the office, I keep the speaker plugged in close by, but if someone else comes in while I'm out, I can relocate the speaker to their office. We are still doing some work in our new office, but I can just unplug this when people come in and out, so it won't be a bother. We've had no problems with it, and it works excellent and is reasonably priced, so I would recommend it to any workplace that needs sound when a door opens.

This motion sensor is fantastic! My 8-year-old and 10-year-old were having problems sneaking down the stairs after bedtime and carrying food, drinks, and candies into their rooms to rot for me to discover a week later. Not to mention that they would stay up all night if they wanted to sneak downstairs to watch TV. I then hung the motion detector component at the bottom of the stairs and the plug-in component in my room to stop this, and after the first night, no more attempts to descend were made! A ding dong sound, like to a doorbell, sounds in my room when motion is detected, letting me know. They hear it from outside my room and hurry back inside before I leave! They now snooze through the night. That was the best. Despite the fact that the detector is at the bottom of the steps, the range is so good that, depending on the size of the person, they can only descend as far as the top or middle of the staircase before the alarm sounds. They might not even notice it because the sound can go off in another room and the volume level can vary. It is safe to use on the stairs and elsewhere because it won't frighten or shock them.

This is a trial because I wasn't sure if it would work... I set up the first of the two sensors next to the home. I could hear the internal alarm sounding as I was handling it (I had it on loud). When I was done, it ceased. Later, I tried it out by moving in that way while outside, and it made a sound! I then placed the second one quite near to an iron gate on the other side of the house across the driveway. I later heard the alarm, but I was unsure of which sensor had gone off. My dog was at the fence when I stepped outside to look! It had picked him up! There have been no warnings since I relocated it further from the gate (albeit it is still in the way of the gate). After some time, I'll check in to see if I'm still happy. I deducted a star because there was no way for me to determine which one was activated (I altered the "sound," but this alters both of them). Although it appears that you also require cameras, it has good motion detection.After a few weeks, I adjusted the alarm sound, but this also altered both sensors, so I'm still unable to identify which side of the home has to be examined without first looking at the cameras. So, Anyway, one of them informed me that there was an opossum on top of the fence (I was pleased it wasn't a person scaling the fence), and the one on the opposite side of the home informed me that several neighbors were approaching the side gate (I guess to see my dogs). After experiencing a few false alarms, I realized that it was picking up the shifting shadows of my trees in the wind. Now that I can see the moving shadow, I can identify the reason of this whenever it occurs. Although I could reposition it so that it was outside of the tree's shadow, that is where I truly want it. Otherwise, every warning has been "something" that got in the way. The most significant moment was when I let my dogs out (in the middle of the night) after they began to bark and they immediately went to the gate. Because my dogs were acting so seriously, I dialed 911. (not a playful, "hello" bark). My sensor went off as I was speaking to 911 and the police were already on the way! Since I could see the other side of the house with my camera, I informed the 911 operator that someone was in my driveway. Yes, there was! The would-be robber was "caught" by the sensor alarm, so the cops knew just where to go. Since I can't tell from the sound which side of the house to check (I have to look at the cameras), I only give it four instead of five starts.

Even though I already had exterior floodlights, they did not have motion sensors. I changed them to motion sensors using this MS180. Better motion sensor devices are probably available, but probably not for this cost. Up until I peeked out the window, I believed my triggers were bogus. The lights were turned on by a dog the first time, a deer the second time, and an opossum most recently. That is how sensual it is. The MS180 has been in use for roughly a month at this point. How long-lasting it is only time will tell.A good extra feature is the option to alter settings to a fixed twilight to dawn light. Simply toggle the light OFF and ON TWICE in a three-second period to activate the dusk-to-dawn setting. (For example, ON-ON-ON-ON) Before you begin the process, make sure the light is turned on. After a day, it will automatically return to motion sensor mode.Many individuals have claimed that this device is incompatible with LED flood lights. In my apartment, I have two 10w (65w equivalent) LED flood lights. For me, LED lights WORK flawlessly. Of reality, the lower heat output of LEDs may contribute to a reduction in false triggers.
