There are a few things to consider when deciding whether monitor arms or stands are better for you. One is the amount of desk space you have. If you have a lot of room, then monitor stands may be the way to go. They take up more desk space but offer more stability. Another thing to consider is whether you want your monitors to be adjustable. If you do, then monitor arms are a better option. They offer more flexibility in terms of positioning your monitors. Finally, consider your budget. Monitor arms are generally more expensive than stands.
No, you cannot attach a monitor arm to just any monitor. Some monitors have a special mount that is required in order to attach a monitor arm, while other monitors may not have this mount at all. Be sure to check your monitor's specifications before purchasing a monitor arm.
Yes, you can buy a stand for a monitor. Stands for monitors come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you can find one that fits your needs. You can also find stands that have adjustable heights, so you can position your monitor at the perfect viewing angle.
Do monitor arms damage your desk? If you're concerned about whether or not monitor arms will damage your desk, don't be. While it's true that some monitor arms can be a bit flimsy, most are designed with your desk's safety in mind. The last thing you want is for your monitor to come crashing down, after all. Most monitor arms are made of sturdy metal and plastic, and they're designed to grip your desk tightly. That said, it's always a good idea to check the weight limit of your monitor arm before you buy it. You

These are the ones I bought, and for the most part, they are high-quality, lightweight stands that hold smaller monitors with typical designs between 20 and 27 inches.I did discover, however, that they are a bit too tiny to completely hold an ultra-wide monitor with "V" shaped legs for a stand by about 5 inches in width after I received them. Other than that, I really have nothing to complain about, and I should have measured beforehand. It turned out that my presumption that one size fits all was incorrect.A stand that works for me was provided to me by Husky Mounts after they got in touch with me. So they can accommodate you if you have a V-shaped monitor stand! Excellent business to order from. Tony collaborated with me throughout to make sure the new stand functioned and I was satisfied. They have my unqualified endorsement, and I won't think twice about placing future orders.

If I hadn't just purchased a Kantek platform a week prior, I would have thought that this was an excellent unit. For the average user, it's still a good device, however the Kantek wins my endorsement for the following reasons: Both devices are constructed from a sturdy black plastic. Because the legs of the Kantek unit are furnished with different-sized blocks, the Kantek unit is wider and longer and has additional height adjustment options. The Kantek can also be elevated to a platform height of 6.5 inches, whereas the Amazon Basics device can only go as high as 4.875 inches. The Kantek platform's enhanced length, width, and height provide a little bit more storage underneath and provide the user more flexibility in what to place there.Additionally, the Kantek device incorporates inserts in the back of the platform that allow the monitor or TV wires to be tidily managed. On the plus side, the Kantek unit's legs are built in individual blocks, whereas the Amazon Basics unit's legs are made of long single components. The price disparity is the final point. The Kantek device is priced at $22.99, while the Amazon Basics item is available for $19.99. The larger footprint, more flexible (and maximum) height adjustment, and cable management provided by the Kantek platform, in my opinion, outweigh the slight pricing advantage of the Amazon Basics platform. It all depends on what needs you personally have. There's basically no way to go wrong with either option.

The reason for my original three-star rating was that the adjustable legs' tolerances were a little wide, which made the stand somewhat rock from front to rear and side to side. Pictures and instructions depict silver adjustment tabs on the left side of the legs properly aligned. In reality, these tabs are out of alignment due to poor manufacturing tolerances of the nut inside the leg. Last but not least, it took a lot of effort to screw in one of the legs; thankfully, it didn't shred the threads of the screw welded under the stand. Some people might not be as fortunate, so be extremely careful when you screw them in. You may need to start, stop, and restart several times before it threads.Updated rating of 5 stars:Haven offered a refund or replacement based on my review, but I didn't even ask for one because I planned to keep the device because it did work. They offered me feedback on my evaluation and a call to action. We had all the necessary negotiations over the course of a few days and hours, and I now have a complete replacement. I have to admit, I've never experienced a company that was so interested in making sure a customer was completely satisfied and had no complaints. Replacement was superior than initial purchase and is operating without a problem. I'm not familiar with all of Haven's products, but I would not think twice about purchasing anything from them. My daughter bought this mount to hang a 65-inch, 50-pound LG television. Naturally, she asked me to fix the bracket to the wall before hanging the television. The mount was delivered in good condition and included with mounting instructions, an absurd number of screws, four lag bolts, a little level, and a mounting template. Although fairly general, the instructions were simple to follow. There is a plastic container with numerous screw sections. The first and most crucial step is to locate the wall studs. Any other method of mounting this to the wall besides lag bolts into studs is not something I would advise. I had to attach two 2x4 pieces of wood to the wall using 3 inch screws since the studs where this was put were wider than 16 inches on center. (A 2x4 is 1 12 inches thick, and 12 inch thick sheet rock makes a total thickness of 2 inches. The 3" screws then insert 1" into the studs.Installation Note: The TV's back is supported by two metal brackets that mount vertically and can be moved up or down. Due to the curved out bottom of the TV, they were unable to adjust down on this particular model. On the bracket that attaches to the bottom of the TV, there is a moveable clip. This clip fastens to the wall mount's bottom bar and gives you a rough notion of the TV's height after it is installed, making it easier to decide where to set the bracket.I centered the TV for where it should be mounted after putting in the 2x4s, and then I utilized the template to determine where the lag bolts should go. The fact that the template has an adhesive strip on both sides to keep it in place while you locate the lag bolt holes is a wonderful touch. To make installing the lags easier, I predrilled the holes according to the pattern given. In order to use my ratchet set to attach the bracket to the 2x4s, I additionally bought shorter and slightly thicker lag bolts. A level template should be used. After drilling the holes in advance, I removed the mounting template (and stored it), then used my ratchet set to install the main mounting bracket using 4 Lags and Washers. Make sure the right side is facing up. On my mount, an arrow was pointed upward. Install the horizontal metal brackets or arms to the mount after they are fixed. They are delivered in two sections, which slide through the mount in the designated location. Fix them with a screw.Installation Note 2: Numerous washers, spacers, and screws are located in compartments with corresponding letter or number labels. There are far more screws and hardware included with the mount than you would ever need. Simply adhere to the directions. In order to mount the vertical brackets to the TV, for instance, the instructions included three sets of screws and a variety of spacers. I only required the last screws listed, no spacers. In other words, since each TV is unique, one of the sets listed should be compatible with your TV.Mount Test: After installing the mount, pull the mounting arms forward and give it a tug to make sure it is stable before mounting the TV. I'll say it again: I wouldn't install this without inserting lags into studs. Two individuals are required to mount the TV. Secure the upper support first, then the lower support, while lifting the TV. Flip the metal clip over the lower bar and fasten it to the TV while the second person is holding the TV. The TV won't be able to be removed after installation thanks to this. The TV may be angled down, pulled away from the wall, and rotated left or right once it is mounted. If the TV is not level, there are several changes to be made.I am quite happy with this buy overall. The mount is well-made and quite durable. Despite the fact that you needed the right equipment to install it, it wasn't difficult. Additionally, adjustment is simple. Installing it and hanging the TV took me about an hour. Knowing where the studs are now that I've done it once, I'd estimate that it could be put in 30 minutes or less.Tools required for installation include a power drill and bits (for pre-drilling lag holes), a Phillips head screwdriver (for manually attaching vertical brackets to the TV), a ratchet set (for installing lags), a flashlight (for driving the final screws holding the clips to the TV so you can see what you are doing), a level (my own, though one was provided), a pencil, and patience. To hang and attach the TV, you'll need a second person. If you don't already have one, you'll need a stud finder to locate the studs. You can purchase one for a very low price from a hardware store, search for studs using visible nail or screw holes, or drill numerous tiny holes into the wall to locate the studs!

Choosing what I wanted in a monitor stand took me a while. I was certain I wanted one and that it needed to be robust. My ACER gaming monitor is an older model, and it weighs a lot. Something that would accommodate my enormous Razer Cynosa Pro keyboard was what I was seeking. Additionally, it would have room for my Xbox One controller. (I'm not bragging; I just want you to know the dimensions I had to work with.) I had been initially focusing on a bamboo stand. But after that, I gave it more attention. Wood is prone to contamination, warping, splintering, and weakness if it is not made properly. I then began looking about. I then noticed another stand with a drawer and considered what a help it may be. Thus, I included that in my demands. I finally found this one. It's composed of durable metal, has a lovely powder coat finish that hides fingerprints, has a pattern of holes for airflow on the top, and has plenty of storage space in the sides and drawers. The legs contain a single screw hole for each one, making it simple to attach them. They are common Phillips-Head screws. And they're black. They are also a fair size. I'm delighted with my purchase and would suggest it to anyone looking for a monitor stand who doesn't want to spend more than $40.

As economical as it was simple to set up. I don't know why it took me so long to decide to replace the built-in stand with an adjustable monitor arm, but I immediately regret delaying the purchase. Installing this mount was quite simple. If you've ever used Legos or any type of puzzle, the directions are very apparent, but they aren't actually necessary. This device perfectly fits the space I needed and holds my large LCD (a LG 29EA73-P) in place. One issue that I did not anticipate was a slight restriction in the arm's range of motion. The pole was supposed to be placed in the middle of my desk. I had the impression that the arm would fold into itself, allowing me to fully retract my display. But if I had paid closer attention, a clearer glance at the image would have revealed that this is not actually feasible on a shallow desk (visualize a "Z" with the wall on top and the monitor on the bottom). The smallest distance between the two objects is at the center of the "Z" shape. I preferred something that looked more like "=", with the monitor at the bottom and the wall at the top.In order to get my display as far back as I needed, I had to position my pole off to one side of the desk and have the arms extend straight out. It is not a hassle, just something I forgot to consider, therefore it might be useful for some of you who might also have missed that notion.Solid. Nice appearance. Flexible positioning (it can use vice-clamp mount, grommet pass-through, or drill hole straight-through). fantastic pricing range

The monitor stand has been added to my standing desk. I started out by using a 4" clamp, and I loved that I was able to think of a way to test this. The Height-Adjustable Standing Desk - VARIDESK Pro Plus 36 - Black could not be lowered all the way because of the 4" clamp, but I was fine with that. Over the weekend, I used the 4" grommet to attach the mount after drilling a hole in the desk's top. The standing desk is now completely adjustable.I didn't understand the 4" grommet would let the mount pass through a desk hole when I ordered the mount. For those of you who have desks where you cannot clamp and don't want to drill a hole, I believe that option is useful. As opposed to placing a monitor on top of a stand, the monitor mount is more stable. I left one of my older monitors on the stand because it lacked a VESA mount. The new monitor scarcely moved, but the old monitor shook. The fact that it is completely customizable is great! On it, I have two 24" monitors. To accommodate my desk setup, I displaced the monitor mount. I was able to fully extend the left monitor arm and then move the right monitor arm so that it was near to the left one. I can change the arms' tension using the included wrenches.I'll try to upload photos with the new displays. Amazing quality for something that costs so little (less than $40). It was fantastic to test it out with the clamp before opting to drill holes in my furniture to make the mount permanent and most sturdy thanks to the clamp or grommet mounting options. One minor issue I've noticed is that the hinge on the base becomes sloppy with extensive use or repeated swiveling. The looseness makes the monitor wobble a lot when you move it, which can be a little unsettling because you never know when it will loosen completely and fall off. Swiveling back and forth often during the day by about 180 degrees is referred to as frequent swiveling. In an office or desk environment, it generally won't be seen.By taking the base off and tightening the torque adjustment within the base, I was able to fix it, but it will eventually go loose again. Dismounting everything to enter the base is a major hassle. By lubricating the torque adjustment screw (inside the base) with WD40, I believe I have discovered a better long-lasting solution. This will prevent the monitor's weight from catching on it and causing it to loosen when the arm is swung. The torque screw was being loosened when the monitor swiveled because to the weight pulling on it. Therefore, lube the area between the washer and the screw head so that the screw won't catch and turn more difficultly. These mounting arms are used on end tables next to our sofa. We can all enjoy playing powerful computer games and other fun online activities together thanks to it.

The assembly of this stand wasn't too difficult. With the exception of a Phillips screwdriver, the majority of the tools were already present. In order to prevent the stand from tipping forward due to the weight of your displays, please take care not to stretch the monitor attached to the stand out front too far. There are two 24" monitors I own. One BenQ has a flat back while one Asus has a curved back. I still give this stand a 5/5 despite numerous drawbacks.Pros:movable if you ever need to change where you stand.gives you the choice of using the stand by itself or of attaching the stand to your desk (if you have a drill to drill a hole into it). If you actually want your monitors to protrude forward, it would therefore fix the stand's tilting-forward issue.supplies resources for monitors with straight and curved backs. In comparison to all the other stands I saw, the price seems fair.Cons: If the stand is not fastened to the desk, it will tilt if you pull your display outward. However, I don't find this to be a huge issue because I enjoy how my monitor and stands sit.Be careful when attaching them because portion of the clip isn't that sturdy for heavy hands, which is what caused me to break the wire management clip.

This stand was purchased to accommodate two 27" monitors. One of the displays featured mounting holes on the back and was VESA compliant. Because the other monitor was not VESA compatible, I had to buy this adaptor bracket. HUANUO Universal VESA Bracket Mount Adapter Kit: Fits Most 13 to 27 Inch LCD LED OLED Flat Panel Monitor Screens; Converts Non-VESA Monitor Screens to 75x75 and 100x100 From the reviews, it appears that some people had units that were improperly put together, but mine had excellent construction, including strong welds, reliable installation, and spotless paint or coating. The assembly process was pretty simple.WARNING: THIS REALLY REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE TO ASSEMBLE! Don't do it alone; have a helper on hand to steady the stand while you mount the monitors and make all the necessary adjustments. You could certainly do it alone, but why take a chance with expensive monitors? Without a second pair of hands, I'm not sure how you could possibly alter the height. It is very durable and stable if you apply common sense and position your monitors sufficiently close to the stand's balancing point. This is NOT the arrangement for you, and your monitors will end up on the floor, if you have an unstable desk or one that you move around a lot, if you have cats who get up on your desk or small children who might knock into your desk. Personally, I have a wonderful desk that is securely attached to a wall.
Most people believe that the top of their monitor should be at eye level. This is not always the case. The best way to determine the correct height for your monitor is to adjust it until the top of the screen is at or slightly below eye level.
A monitor arm can last for many years if it is made of high-quality materials and is properly cared for. However, cheaper monitor arms may only last for a few years before they need to be replaced.
It really depends on what you need to use the monitor for. If you need more screen real estate to be productive, then a 27 inch monitor would be better. If you don't need as much space and want a monitor that's easier on the eyes, then a 24 inch monitor would be better.
There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preference. Some people find it more comfortable to have their monitor at eye level, while others prefer to have it slightly elevated. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide what works best for them.
Most people don't think about the ergonomics of their monitors, but if you spend a lot of time staring at a screen, it's worth considering a monitor arm. A monitor arm lets you adjust the position of your monitor to reduce neck and eye strain, and it can also free up desk space. If you often find yourself hunched over your monitor or constantly adjusting your screen to try to find a comfortable position, a monitor arm is a worthwhile investment. Even if you don't have any ergonomic concerns, a monitor arm can still be helpful in creating a more organized
There are a few things to consider when deciding whether to get a single or dual monitor arm. One is the weight of your monitors. If you have monitors that are on the heavier side, a dual monitor arm may be a better option because it can distribute the weight more evenly. Another thing to consider is the size of your monitors. If you have larger monitors, a dual monitor arm may be necessary to provide enough support. Finally, think about how you will be using your monitors. If you need to be able to swivel them around or move them up and down often, a
