If you are looking for a quick fix, then using glue instead of gesso is not the best option. Gesso provides a much better foundation for painting and will help your project last longer.
Yes, you can use Mod Podge instead of gesso. Mod Podge is a sealer and an adhesive, so it will seal your painting and allow you to adhere your painting to another surface if you choose.
Yes, you can use normal paper for acrylic paint, but the results may not be ideal. The paper may absorb too much paint, making the colors appear dull. Also, the paint may not adhere well to the paper, causing it to peel or flake off. If you want to use normal paper for acrylic paint, it's best to test it first to see how it reacts.
You can use white acrylic paint as a substitute for gesso. Acrylic paint will provide a similar white base for your painting and will also adhere to most surfaces.

60 sheets of 98 pound/160 gram
Acid free 7 x 10 inch paper
Micro perforated, true size sheets
Use for: sketching, drawing, light washes of ink and watercolor, collage, journaling, and more
Erases well and blends easily

A sketchbook of exceptional quality that can withstand light to medium watercolour washes without pilling the top layer of the paper or allowing color to transfer to the opposite side. By squeezing the paper after the work has dried, you can lessen the minor buckling that exists. Work on the reverse of the page is still possible and won't be entirely erased. Works very well with pencil; lighter pencil strokes will appear gritty on somewhat textured paper. albeit thirsty, nice with most watercolors markers. Water makes it simple to spread or blend colour. Good for alcohol markers, although the opposite side will bleed through. When water is added to this sheet, water soluble art tools like Inktense pencils easily dissolve.Even though the pages are pre-scored to make removal simple, the sturdy spiral binding and little chance of pages slipping out will hold firm if you wish to keep the pages in the book. The book's front and back covers are constructed of durable card and may be customized using other media. Suitable size for creating both numerous tiny sketches and more extensive masterpieces. A respectable number of pages: 60 sheets provide plenty of room for drawing.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with this sketchbook.I primarily use it with colored pencils, ink or watercolor washes, and markers (Copic and Promarkers) (gansai tambi). Although the paper is thick and holds markers well, little water can be held in it. The papers are retaining marker colors exceptionally well and are quite vivid, although the ink does bleed through the paper (I don't mind it because I do one work each sheet) and the colors go a little bit darker compared to other papers, so be careful to create swatches in before. Although the sheets are perforated for simple removal, it doesn't often hold the page securely enough. The 7" x 10" format, which is slightly smaller than A4 but larger than A5, is ideal for smaller studies and illustrations. Although the sketchbook's 60 sheets at first seem bulky, I might get used to it. Although the wire is somewhat large, it has held up to frequent use and travels in my bag.I would recommend it since overall I was pleased with my purchase (I even bought a second one).

The Canson XL series has a lot to offer. Unlike others, they mean it when they say "mix media." This sketchbook has withstood the use of pencil, ink, copics, charcoal, and watercolors really well. You can draw with a pencil, and there isn't much pencil transfer on the pages next to you, as you can see in the photographs I've included.Although there is some warping of the paper with paint (which is still ideal for light washes, sketches, and testing), I haven't noticed much bleed. (Occasionally, there is a funky feeling as if the paper is rejecting the watercolor, but if you work it for a few seconds, it usually takes.) I would absolutely stick to the mild washes, studies, and testing because the paper does begin to disintegrate if it is overly saturated with water. Don't use moist media too aggressively. (I realize this sounds a little harsh, but I've used this sketchbook for wet medium with great success. Simply put, you shouldn't fuss with it excessively.)You WILL have some bleeding when using copics (see picture in attachment), but you can easily prevent this by placing a piece of paper below the page you're drawing on.The paper is excellent overall. sturdy, substantial, and thick. The paper is easily erasable without causing any damage to it, and the binding is sturdy.

Even though this is a wonderful product, I wouldn't consider it to be of professional caliber. At just more than 0.22 per sheet, it is definitely worth the money.I wouldn't feel comfortable utilizing layered watercolor techniques because the paper is much thinner than typical mixed-media paper. You'll need a buffer layer behind your design to prevent the ink from ruining the following page. This appears best suited to higher grade alcohol markers that don't bleed excessively—for brands like prismacolor, touchnew, and ohuhu (s).The paper has a smooth texture; the front is somewhat grainy, and the back is nearly paper printer smooth.I have a sizable paper collection, and while I genuinely enjoy these pads—I have no regrets about my purchase—I wouldn't go so far as to call them a truly strong combination. The media paper

Before making a purchase, take a close look! For this item, two separate images are displayed. One is wire-bound and is black. You see a picture of a brown non-wire bound pad when you click on it. The one with the black wire binding is what appears in my purchase history and on the screen where I am currently writing this review, but that is not what really arrived or what appears on the screen where you make the buy.Wire bound pads were what we wanted, but I didn't realize that clicking on the image changed the image. Apart from that, my daughter is content with the purchase.
Yes, you can mod podge paper to acrylic. You will need to use a clear acrylic sealer to protect the paper from moisture and wear.
Mixed media paper is a type of paper that is designed to be used with multiple mediums. It is usually made from a blend of cotton and linen fibers, which makes it more durable than standard paper. Mixed media paper can be used for a variety of projects, including painting, drawing, and collage. While you can use mixed media paper without gesso, it is not recommended. Gesso is a type of primer that helps to create a smooth surface for your medium. It also helps to protect the paper from damage. without gesso, your mixed
Acrylic paint can crack on paper if the paint is applied too thickly, if the paper is not stretched properly, or if the paper is not of good quality. If the paint is applied too thickly, it can crack when the painting is dry. If the paper is not stretched properly, the paint can crack when the painting is wet. If the paper is not of good quality, the paint can crack when the painting is dry or wet.
Mixed media paper can be good for acrylic if it is a thicker paper. A mixed media paper that is thin will not work as well because the paint will soak through.
Mixed media paper is good for alcohol ink because it is absorbent and has a smooth surface. The ink will not bleed through the paper and the colors will be vibrant.
Mixed media paper can be good for watercolor, as it can provide a bit more texture and absorbency than regular watercolor paper. However, it is important to test the paper first to see how it reacts to water and paint, as some mixed media papers can be too absorbent and cause the paint to spread too much.
