Used in the kitchen of doom, the microwave bears the Ikea/Whirlpool logo and has two light settings. I only needed enough light to see a little bit around the kitchen, stove, dungeon, etc. without running the risk of realizing I've fallen and am unable to get up. The original lights in our GE double oven naturally lasted for close to 13 years. Then, when the top oven, which we use the most, broke, we went to our neighborhood store to get a replacement. This should have been easy, but the initial repair only held up for a week after the oven had been used once. I returned it and received a replacement that lasted almost two months. Third was almost on par with second in quality. went back for a fourth replacement, but it lasted only a little over a year before giving up as well. I experienced the same issue as DJ. These bulbs burn out more quickly than any other item or bulb I have ever owned. I use my Maytag microwave for these. When they first went out, I called the shop where the microwave was purchased, and after a $95 service call to replace the bulb, my husband and I decided we needed to take a different approach. The first one we went to get, we were able to get in our little town, but when my husband walked in this time, the store's young employee refused to even check to see if they had any. You jerk! Anyway, I decided to go on Amazon and, while not being 100% certain that it was the appropriate bulb, I decided to take a chance. Praise God, it is the perfect bulb at a great price! Thank you Amazon! I will now order more to keep on hand since we will probably need to change it again in approximately 4 to 6 months. This product is excellent. I went to Home Depot to purchase additional halogen bulbs for the stove light, but they cost around $5 apiece, making these a better option. They are more energy-efficient, easier to install, and brighter. They didn't spend much money on packaging because they just come in a little box and bag, but I won't ever use halogen bulbs again, and these should last for a very long time.

No matter what they say, LED lights will not run in a microwave that has a board that can only operate on two settings. They merely cause more problems and harm to the board.This bulb is of the stubby variety and should fit the short way.
