No, a metal detector cannot detect diamonds.
Yes, a metal detector can find gold nuggets. However, they are not always easy to find and it takes practice to get good at it. The best way to find gold nuggets is to use a metal detector that is specifically designed for finding gold.
If you have ever lost a small metal object like a nail or a paperclip, you may have wished you had a metal detector to help you find it. Well, it turns out your phone can actually be used as a metal detector! All you need is the right app. There are a few different metal detector apps available for both iPhone and Android. They work by using the phone’s magnetic sensor to detect metal objects. Just open the app and wave your phone over the area where you think the metal object is. If the app detects metal, it will beep

Compared to my homemade tools or other tools I've bought, this is a good tiny shaker. Although it is small and has an odd sound, it is soft and pleasant to work with, and since it is made of plastic, it is not sharp and handles well. Although most people will have no idea what it is, I actually prefer this tool to others that I have used. Not to discount visiting to stores where the staff is knowledgeable about the goods they are offering, but gosh, if you are willing to shop and search about, beyond a sand scoop, you may find some better "bargains." I've previously purchased a number of these (I assume as spares now), but look at all your options before making a purchase. Not to be cheap, but I am, so I can use this with my other underwater equipment in the surf or lake instead of spending $120.00 on the unit at the store. Hook this to a broomstick and a hoseclamp. I recently started metal detecting, and after viewing a few videos, I realized how crucial it was to have one of these pinpointers. When it comes to finding tiny coins or other metal objects, it has so far been a lifesaver. I honestly don't know how people managed to find anything before these devices existed. When you remove a large pile of dirt, the metal detector will be able to pinpoint a region, but it may be difficult to find a coin that has been buried for a long time and now matches the color of the soil. The pinpointer is beautifully constructed, comfortable in the hand, and performs as promised. It also has a very durable and well-built sheet that is included. Although I haven't used any of the more expensive ones, this one seems to work just fine. As previously said, it is not totally waterproof, which may be a deal breaker for some of you planning to use it in rivers, lakes, and the like. In my opinion, the LED light is completely worthless, and I'm not sure what it's used for other than to make sure it's on when you're using it. For someone just starting off, I would strongly advise this as a fantastic cheap option.

The Garrett Pro-Pointer AT, often known as the Garrett Carrot, is something that everyone has and enjoys—many people even adore. The "Carrot's" most worthy rival is the Whites Bullseye TRX, which has it beat in terms of range and depth (as well as price) (from what I can tell)..I'll leave detailed reviews to others (there are many), and I'll make a comment about something that hasn't been talked much, even though it might be mentioned in an Amazon review or on YouTube. You can see some individuals map out the Garrett Pro-Pointer AT's sensitivity along the length of its probe (up to and past the 4" mark) on YouTube. This "wand" of sensitivity can be swept vertically to search the side of a deep hole, horizontally on the surface looking for a shallow target, or horizontally to scan a pile of soil. Although useful, this's sensitivity varies over its length. Even Garrett mentions in the handbook that a bit above and to the side will yield the greatest sensitivity to tiny targets.Try trying how it responds to common flat objects (coins, rings, pull tabs, etc.), depending on their orientation, to get the most pin-pointing precision out of it. I'll let you try it out and get a feel for it, but here is an illustration of what I mean:Consider sweeping the surface with the Pro-Pointer AT on its side in search of a shallow coin. The majority of coins are buried flat, so they will be facing the pin-side. pointer's You'll observe that the sensitivity in this instance follows a "dumbbell" shape, peaking at approximately the 0.5 inch line and the 3.5 inch line. There is likely a poor signal close to the LED area or the tip (4" mark). Test it out in the air.Consider instead sweeping the Pro-Pointer AT into and around a coin-missing hole. The coin will be "co-linear" with the shaft and the Pro-pointer will be nearly vertical (facing down, and the shaft is pointed down). The sensitivity pattern is flipped in this instance. The sensitivity increases in the middle and decreases near the ends (around 0" and 4"). (near 2"). The target may be two inches higher up along the shaft if you receive a moderate signal in the wall of a hole instead of down by the tip since a target oriented that way will have the most sensitivity there. Test it out in the air.It is important to note that a coin edge-on to the shaft with the edge parallel to the shaft is only very weakly felt but still exhibits the "dumbbell" sensitivity pattern seen in the first case.It will be easier to avoid problems in the field with targets that seem to move around when you orient the pin-pointer differently if you practice using this pin-pointer with widely available objects in the air. We are all aware with the challenges of identifying targets that are buried on edge as well as "moving targets" like nails, long screws, bobby pins, and strands of wire. On a smaller scale, pin-pointers can experience similar problems, which, in the worst case, can hinder recovery or result in the digging of an unnecessary big hole. We can prevent being misled by reorienting the pin-pointer and understanding its sensitivity pattern.Different pin-pointer brands have sensitivity patterns with potential benefits and drawbacks.

The durability of this sifter surprised me. It sifted exceptionally nicely in both the dry and the wet sand that we used it in. The holes are a nice size—not too big, but not too small either. All the money, rings, bottle tops, and car keys will be caught by you! The trowel is just the cherry on top because it effortlessly broke up lightly packed dirt and heavy sand. It goes without saying that the plastic is advantageous when metal detecting, and the open handle easily slid into my back pocket. Look no further than this collection if you're looking for sandy areas.

Since I was a child, I have desired one constantly but have never been able to persuade my parents to buy one. Years later, I was on vacation in Maine at a hotel on the beach when I noticed people wandering around the beach with metal detectors. I made the decision to strike up conversations with several of them. They assured me they might occasionally discover something, but more importantly, it would serve as motivation to work out. They would occasionally set out for a short stroll but wind up walking for hours or miles since they were having a good day and discovering a variety of "treasures" and trinkets. To them, it is now an activity rather than exercise. Perfect for someone like myself who doesn't enjoy exercising solely for the sake of exercising. Before settling on this one, I conducted a thorough search on Amazon. My key considerations were: cost, usability, and storage.Price: Since I'm just starting off, I didn't want to spend too much on something that I might not even use to its full potential yet. It's better to start small and upgrade later, but I also didn't want to get a too-basic one that would prevent me from finding anything on my walks. This one was reasonably priced for what I'm willing to pay initially.Usefulness: Because I'm a complete novice, I didn't want one with a lot of features and intricacy. This has minimal controls and elementary features. In essence, some calibration will be used to assess whether or not anything is present. Right now, I'm just looking for anything, but perhaps in the future, I'll be more sophisticated and focused. I've tested this with common household items like nails, coins, and scrap metal, and it has so far picked up all of these kinds of metals. a successful start.Storage: Because I don't have a lot of space, I required it to be simple to disassemble and store without taking up a lot of space. This may be disassembled and placed in an 18x5x5 box. In essence, it could simply be stored in the closet or under my bed.In a nutshell: This is a fantastic fit if you're just starting out and have little storage space. In comparison to other units, it is quite affordable. has simple features that are simple to use, and once you're done, it can be disassembled, taking up very little space, and tucked away for the next time.

UPDATEI've been playing with this, and although it takes some getting used to, it currently finds objects deeper than 2 inches. You simply need to tweak it and keep track of the emails they send with instructions. If you have any questions, the company is very accommodating and prepared to help.*******Metal detecting is a new "art" or hobby, and this one is fairly priced. I felt that going in quest of pirate treasure would be a lot of fun because my son and I usually visit beaches and playgrounds made of sand. This is not for those who wish to immediately start looking for gold, coins, or other precious metals. It takes some technique, practice, and the ability to follow instructions to use this. To alter the controls, you really need to know what you're doing, despite the fact that the instructions are rather decent. I set up my equipment indoors according to the directions since I'm all in for this trip and I'm beginning to see how involved metal detecting can be. I went outside and utilized some real silver coins and spare change at the neighborhood sand beach. I hadn't yet been ready to use my gold rings, LOL. I discovered that the detector could only "read" the treasure up to a couple of inches below the surface. I'm still adjusting the parameters, so I'll update after making more efforts. I advise you to use thin plastic zip bags to protect your practice treasure as you work on mastering the skills so you don't lose it. I appreciate that this kit includes a travel case, headphones, and a spade that can be disassembled for digging for the hidden treasure. To demonstrate how the settings are largely according to the instructions, I have attached photographs and videos. The fact that it doesn't come with the two 9-volt batteries needed to operate it, which most people don't keep on hand, is the only genuine complaint I have with it. I also wish it could read a little further into the sand than an inch or two.

I've been metal detecting for a while, and the only reason I got this detector was to have a cheap backup in case one of my primary detectors breaks down. I was unable to test this product outside because it is the middle of winter here; nevertheless, I was able to conduct extensive testing inside. Some of you might think it strange that I would review this without conducting any outdoor testing, but rest assured that many detectors are tested indoors against one another to gauge their strength and discrimination prowess ( I may update review once spring rolls around).I placed this detector (and its ten "compared to other detectors in the same relative price/power class. The Fisher F22, Garrett Ace 200, and Bounty Hunter Quicksilver (all with 8" coils"). The coin test involves moving a coin against the coil side to side to check how far a strong signal can travel. Since I don't want this review to develop into an essay, I'll limit my discussion to the results of the quarter's tests. The Ace 200 was somewhat less at 7.5, the F22 again at 7.5, and this detector likewise came in at 7.5. The Quicksilver was able to maintain a clear signal with the correct tone at 8." With dimes, nickels, silver dollars, and fifty cent pieces, similar outcomes were discovered. Overall, power is quite close to being the same. All of the detectors functioned properly throughout the discrimination testing, although the huge 10 "The coil on this detector does make pinpointing and trash collection a little bit more difficult. This is a typical problem when utilizing larger coils, but it's not bad. Short version: Since a smaller coil covers less space, it will be more effective at discrimination (smaller coils are also what you want if you are mainly searching for gold). I should note that larger coils should be moved or swung a little more slowly because they have a tendency to miss things. Swinging should be done smoothly back and forth.Without going into more detail, based on what I have observed, this detector is a tremendous steal at under $100. Although it is undoubtedly a novice detector, it has features that you often don't find unless you spend $200 or more. I suggest this detector if you're interested in the activity and want to play on the beach, dig in your yard, or simply have a backup like I do.

In my native Virginia, I started using a metal detector more than 25 years ago to scour fields for Civil War artifacts. My White's Eagle Spectrum helped me discover some hidden gems, but I'm sure I missed far more than what I did.Forward more than 25 years. Although I currently reside in California, I still adore metal detecting. The knobs and adjustments on my more expensive detectors can be intimidating for friends and young family members who are new to metal detecting and want to go metal detecting with me. I then went in search of a user-friendly model, and after evaluating features and costs, I decided to get the Tacklife MMD02.The graphics-based back-lit display with three small, emoji-like figures to help the user identify their results when searching was one of the key features I enjoyed about the Tacklife. Additionally, a necessary headphone jack and a 7.8-inch screen are included "coil of a waterproof search. It features a 2-year warranty and a carrying/storage bag as well.It required no equipment and took about 10 minutes to put together after it arrived. Additionally, it included 2 9-volt batteries, saving me the trip to the shop. After it was put together and the battery was installed, I could adjust it to fit my height, which is little about 5' 10" ".With two additional zipped compartments and a carrying strap in case you wish to throw it over your shoulder, the canvas carrying/storage bag with a strap handle turned out to be rather excellent. (I paid more than $20 for a metal detector case that was inferior to the one that came with this detector.) After lowering the coil shaft and folding the search coil flat, the detector fits snugly into the carrying/storage case. This process takes 20 seconds.I threw some spare change, a cheap bracelet, and a rusty nail into my backyard as the first usage test. When I turned on the detector, I had the choice of leaving all three Target Indicators (Modes) on, turning off Target Indicator 1, or turning on both Target Indicator 1 and 2 modes. Target Indicator 1: Iron objects like bolts, screws, horseshoes, and nails. Typically just garbage Target Indicator 2: US nickels, pennies, rings, small jewelry, etc. that are non-ferrous. You might also pick up rubbish like pull tabs, bottle caps, and tin foil. Target Indicator 3: Copper, silver, and quarters (Non-Ferrous High Conductor). The speaker chirped merrily when the search coil was passed over the various coins and other items, and the detector was able to identify the various coins on the display fairly correctly. The first icon was activated by the rusted nail. The target indicator is 1.The second icon was activated by the wristband, penny, and nickel. Goal Indicator No. 2The third icon was activated by the quarters and dimes. The third target indicatorThe detector only activated when it was passed over the quarters and dimes (Target Indicator 3), disregarding things that (Target Indicator 1) and (Target Indicator 2) would ordinarily trigger (Target Indicator 2)To roughly estimate how deep the targets are, the detector also contains a depth indication. I haven't tested this function yet because I was looking for objects on the surface to detect.Although I have only just begun using this detector, so far I am quite happy with it and the carry/storage bag. I'm going to test this out in the real world by taking it to the beach, and then I'll update my review.Last but not least, if you're new to metal detecting, I'd suggest investing in a headset, a small shovel, a sand scoop for searching in sand or loose dirt, and a handheld pinpoint metal detector, which can be a very useful tool when searching.

I was seeking for a tool to use to locate my water shut-off valve, which is at the end of my driveway every winter.I feel like I have to contact the water company to come look for it for me every winter. I saw them use a metal detector to find it the last time they visited.Finding it took about a minute. So I made the decision to take on the task myself and started shopping for a cheap, simple, and reliable metal detector. This one was located. It is simple to use and always works perfectly. In fact, I found myself utilizing it far more often than I had originally planned. I used it to search every inch of my property, uncovering anything from cash and jewels to old toys that had been buried perhaps fifty years before. For only utilizing a simple metal detector, that's quite cool.Because angels and gods deserve five stars, I only gave it four.
Are you looking for a cheap metal detector? You may be wondering if a cheap metal detector can really work. There are a lot of different metal detectors on the market and the prices can vary greatly. You can find some detectors for under $50 and some that cost over $500. So, what’s the difference? The truth is, there are some great cheap metal detectors out there that can work just as well as the more expensive ones. It’s all about finding the right one for you. Here are a few things to keep in
You do not need a licence to use a metal detector on the beach. However, you may need permission from the landowner or local authority.
A metal detector can only detect gold if it is within a few inches of the surface. The depth that a metal detector can detect gold depends on the type of metal detector. Some metal detectors can only detect gold if it is a few inches below the surface, while others can detect gold that is several feet below the surface.
There's no one answer to the question of how to get started with metal detecting. It depends on what you hope to find, where you want to look, and how much effort you're willing to put in. If you're just getting started, your best bet is to find a friend or family member who is already into metal detecting and see if they'll take you under their wing. There are also a number of online forums and Facebook groups dedicated to the hobby where you can ask questions and get advice from more experienced detectors. As for where to start looking, again,
If you need to block a metal detector, there are a few things you can do. You can try wrapping the object in aluminum foil. This will create a barrier between the object and the metal detector. You can also try placing the object in a metal container. This will also create a barrier between the object and the metal detector. Finally, you can try moving the object away from the metal detector. This will create a distance between the object and the metal detector.
A decent metal detector can cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000. The price depends on the features and quality of the metal detector. Some metal detectors are able to detect different types of metals, while others are only able to detect one type of metal. The more expensive metal detectors usually have more features and are of a higher quality.
