Normally, I don't write reviews this long, but after finally discovering a nice and reasonably priced tumbler, I felt obligated to do so because of my aggravation with other tumblers. I've owned a lot of inexpensive tumblers in the $100 area, but this one has so far been my favorite. I've used rotary and vibratory Lortone, Dura-bull, and Thumbler machines. In my experience, all of these machines had significant issues with barrel leaking, drive mechanism slippage, and barrel wear. Here are my observations after using this machine for around 40 hours in 30 minute intervals. I was first dubious about how simple it would be to operate the lid, but I have found it to be much simpler, if only because IT DOES NOT LEAK and requires no effort to keep it from leaking. Unlike a dura-bull barrel, which soon clouded up, this barrel has remained clear, and the drive operation does not wear down the cover. The apparatus feels quite sturdy. The driving belt is accurate and slip-free. The barrel rotates without slipping thanks to the teeth on the drive rollers. The barrel features an orange rubber ring that appears to be sturdy and will not readily wear out when it comes into touch with the drive rollers. I adore the timer function and the range of speeds. There is a reversing option that automatically stops and reverses the barrel direction approximately every 30 seconds for larger objects that can hang up in the barrel. The noise level is comparable to other rotary tumblers or lower (which squeaked a lot if not lubed). Since the roller shafts are hidden, I do not see a need to lubricate this model. There isn't any dirt or accumulation of worn rubber or plastic like on the aforementioned models because it hasn't spilled or worn the barrel from slipping. I've read reports mentioning motor failure and control knobs that don't feel secure. If they start to be a problem, I will update my review, but so far everything is fine. Drive belt and a replacement lid gasket are provided. I will undoubtedly think about another unit for concurrent batches after I have accumulated several hundred hours on this one.

This tiny kiln performs admirably. Remember that it is rather little. Do not anticipate being able to create large car components with this. The crucible can accommodate 1 kilogram of gold. I have personally used it successfully with aluminum. A slug of raw metal weighing about 1/2 kg takes around 10 minutes to completely melt. That is a rough estimate. I wasn't completely focused on the melt time. It's difficult to understand the handbook. However, it is a kiln. You only need to switch it on and adjust the temperature. Nothing else that is actually known.

The price is a little on the expensive side, and prime shipping is only available for the 10lb bag. It was effective for casting metal. Burnt rapidly after using a lot of it quickly. The only significant issue is that the larger bags weren't eligible for prime shipping (cheaper in bulk).
