3M Littmann 40002 Stethoscope Spare Parts Kit, Snap Tight Soft-Sealing Ear-Tips, Large and Small, Grey Review:

For Littman Cardiology 2, not suitable. The stethoscope I use is more over 20 years old. Master Cardiology, Cardiology 2, and Cardiology 4 are all titles I hold. My spouse surprised me with a new stethoscope when I wasn't ready to swap out my perfectly functional stethoscope for an ear bud. The bud is compatible with the 4, however the 2 and the Masters are screw-on rather than push-on. I suppose I'll attempt getting in touch with Littman directly. Since graduating from nursing school twenty years ago, I have never possessed another stethoscope and I doubt I ever will. I used to possess the original Littman until a local took it.

Through her high school, my daughter is completing an internship with a nearby physician who is also a family friend. He asked her to bring a stethoscope because he knew I had been a paramedic in the past and would still have one with me. But in the 20 years since I'd acquired it, the ring around the diaphragm had deteriorated, and it needed to be fixed. I placed the order, and my Littmann Master Cardiology was back in operation in less than 48 hours. Excellent fit and simple installation. Advice: Slide the diaphragm onto the bell in one piece after sliding it into the ring. The diaphragm was supposed to go on first, followed by the ring, but as the ring was seated, it tugged on the edge of the diaphragm, making it not fit evenly. New earbuds are an added treat.

Every day, I listen to lungs. Long ago, I bought a Littmann stethoscope, and recently, the ear buds started to fail. Originals were made of a soft plastic. Although not particularly hard, this product has a more substantial form than the original. They might not have formed properly in my ear canal, I was concerned. I'm genuinely shocked by how much better I can hear with them, though. The more solid substance either conducts sound better, or the older buds' deterioration made it difficult for sound to go through them. Don't wait in either case. Purchase these right away; you'll be happy you did.

3M Littmann Stethoscope Spare Parts Kit, Cardiology III, Black, 40003 Review:

I used watch gasket oil after cleaning the dust off the parts with alcohol to prevent them from cracking.Installation was not at all simple. When I tried to install the plastic disk for the first time, I found that it wasn't properly positioned in the O ring. I took everything off, took the plastic disk out, and put it back in its proper place. Both sides were covered after five minutes.I was perplexed by ear tips because the hole was so little compared to my original ones. I just started rotating around as I entered, and presto, ear tips in...I deducted a star because better instructions are required and the product should be in a sealed container.

One of the most important tools a doctor can have is a stethoscope. My stethoscope's larger diaphragm cover needed to be replaced. It secured tightly and hasn't come loose since. Auscultation has not been found to have any major issues, however because I work with infants and hardly ever utilize the larger diaphragm, I do favor the smaller side. My husband needed to replace the ear pieces on his stethoscope and didn't like the extra set that came with his so he used these, so having the extra parts came in useful. My stethoscope works as it should and as if nothing ever happened to it because I completely forgot I bought it, which is fantastic, right?

This replacement component is actually a two-piece diaphragm that includes the outer ring and the diaphragm. I noticed this when I was attempting to put it on the stethoscope and the diaphragm and ring split off. After putting the diaphragm on the scope and attempting to apply the ring, I tried to follow the directions as I understood them. This was unsuccessful. I continued to look over the illustrated directions, and saw that step one involves connecting the ring and diaphragm. Next, you apply to the scope, making your way around the head of the scope from one location until it is in position. This was challenging! I battled (admitted shamefully)..... To get it to bite on the head of the scope until it was on there enough to work it on, I had to use my nail to slightly peel back the ring edge (on the top side). Avoid applying any pressure to the diaphragm, since doing so could cause it to bend or crack, putting you back in the exact situation you were in before to obtaining it. The earpieces are what they are, and installation is straightforward. Well Iuck! I ought to have recorded a video.

3M Littmann Stethoscope Spare Parts Kit, Classic II S.E., Grey, 40006 Review:

I have an ancient Cardiology II SE. really old. However, I've been using it for more than 25 years now, you know. I simply can't imagine using any other stethoscope because it has been my constant and I've been so accustomed to it. I asked 3M/Littmann about a stethoscope replacement part kit, and they suggested this one. The bell cover is NOT at all like the original, but the diaphragm and ear pieces function as they should. It is much too shallow and just partially covers the bell's base, unlike the previous one. However, it is all they have. Bummer.:(
