Prior to going vegan, I consumed a lot of ham and bologna (heck, all animal flesh). I adore it even though the flavor isn't precisely the same. It tastes fantastic fried, chopped up and added to salads, and even in sandwiches! I had never tried their "ham," but I enjoyed it just as much as their bologna (which I eat regularly).Just so you know, it has tiny, gray or translucent "spots" on it, so don't be alarmed. They simply make it in that manner.

Trying a veggie pepperoni for the first time. My daughters are vegetarian and vegan, so I'm constantly seeking for fresh options. When it comes to which fake meat tastes excellent, I am probably pickier. I thought these were excellent and would use them as a healthy alternative. It was really more pepperoni-like than bacon, contrary to my initial concern that it could be too similar to the fake bacon. I finished it on the pizza under the broiler after sautéing it in a little grape seed and olive oil. Although it tastes terrible uncooked, it was fantastic in pizza. Our house will preserve this. The poor slices adhere to one another like crazy glue, or at the very least, damp glue.The flavor is good, but the slices perhaps need to be thicker or packaged more like Kraft's American Singles, 12 oz., 365 Everyday Value's Organic Mild Cheddar Slices, 12 oz., or — you tell me.Get on board, Mr. or Mrs. Lightlife Packaging Department, and save your product from the Nice Try, Abandoned Product bin.
