ThermoPro TP19 Waterproof Digital Meat Thermometer for Grilling with Ambidextrous Backlit & Thermocouple Instant Read Thermometer Kitchen Cooking Food Thermometer for Candy Water Oil BBQ Grill Smoker Review:

I learned about this on Reddit a few days ago and decided that, for the price, it was too good of a deal to pass up for a backup or loaner thermometer, so I got it, thinking that, worst case, I could just return it. Since my wife harassed my first ThermaPen, I recently bought a Mk4. I have been a happy ThermaPen user for almost ten years.ThermoPro arrived this afternoon, so I took a chance to inspect it, attach the battery, and test it against my existing equipment. I boiled some water, put some ice and water in a cup, and performed a few short tests. To put it mildly, they all read very quickly; I'd say that the greater the delta, the longer each took. I noted that the ThermoPro was generally around a degree high, although I believe this can be calibrated out (something I'd have to do over a degree but am just too lazy to do).The ThermoPro has a respectable build quality, but I see that several ThermaPen queues have been paired back. Although it is obviously constructed to be affordable, it doesn't feel cheaply manufactured. The one major issue I could find right away was the decision to have the battery cover screw thread directly into the plastic shell, which will likely be the weakest part of the entire system. A nice compromise between readability and not needing a backlit display can be found in the selection of a red segmented display on a black background. Without going all AvE on the situation, let me just say that I'm not moaning about the price because I've paid more for much worse things in the past.Overall, I'm quite impressed. If I were cooking in a restaurant or competing in barbecue competitions, I might be a little less confident, but for a home gamer, I have already told two friends about this and will be keeping it around. I believe this is certainly a home run for the money and would not hesitate to recommend it. 5 Stars

Kizen Instant Read Meat Thermometer - Best Waterproof Ultra Fast Thermometer with Backlight & Calibration. Kizen Digital Food Thermometer for Kitchen, Outdoor Cooking, BBQ, and Grill! Review:

The thermometer was functional while I was employed, but it is currently experiencing numerous issues. It very occasionally functions, and the thermostat reader frequently displays all 888s. I replaced the batteries, but the problem persists. I didn't use it more than ten times. My Webber thermometer, which I purchased five years ago, is still in excellent condition. I would rate it with five stars if it was dependable.Update: The business contacted me right away after I submitted this review and said they would send me a new thermometer and that the item was covered by a lifetime warranty. A few days later, the replacement arrived, and I couldn't be happier! fantastic customer service

Alpha Grillers Instant Read Meat Thermometer for Grill and Cooking. Upgraded with Backlight and Waterproof Body. Best Ultra Fast Digital Kitchen Probe. Includes Internal BBQ Meat Temperature Guide Review:

One of these I purchased for myself, while the others I purchased as Christmas presents. When I originally received these, I was a little let down because they were a little larger than I had anticipated and the "quick reaction" was described as more like 4 seconds internally. I had received an email from the vendor asking if I had received them and how I had liked them. I replied truthfully with the information given and stated that I was thinking about returning them. He promptly responded by saying that I may return them for a full refund, no questions asked, after giving one of them a 30-day test run. I gave it a try and discovered that I liked it, so I retained it.The fact that it shuts off automatically when you lock the probe back into the body is something I like. It actually reads the temperature of the meat on the grill faster than the other electronic thermometer I own, and it is the perfect size to do it without burning your hand. Although the probe's business end is not extremely small, it is still rather little and only produces a tiny hole in the meat. Consequently, I do enjoy it and suggest it to other grillers. Plus, how can you go wrong with that kind of customer service?

GDEALER DT6 Waterproof Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer with 4.6” Folding Probe Calibration Function for Cooking Food Candy, BBQ Grill, Smokers, 6.8 x 2.5 x 0.9 inches, Black White Review:

The cost of this thermometer is greater... The only difference is a lighter and less expensive packaging; otherwise, everything else is identical, including the characteristics and performance of the instrument. You also receive an extra button battery. For my family, I ordered several at various rates to find out.The fact that it has so many appealing physical and technical characteristics makes it, in my opinion, a much better choice than thermometers from brands that cost up to three times as much. I should know because I have long owned one of those pricey ones.

ThermoPro TP03 Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer Kitchen Cooking Food Candy Thermometer with Backlight and Magnet for Oil Deep Fry BBQ Grill Smoker Thermometer Review:

America's Test Kitchen is something I really enjoy. They conduct a great deal of testing and reviewing of kitchen products. A meat thermometer was the subject of one of their reviews. Thermapen, which costs about $100, was suggested. Too expensive for my budget. An owner of the $100 Thermapen provided one of the reviews for this ThermoPro thermometer, which included a side-by-side comparison of the two products. They said that their speed and accuracy were almost identical. I chose the ThermoPro as a result because the price difference was almost 10 to 1. I was not let down. The thermometer functions flawlessly, reading temperatures of both hot oil and meat. To everyone, I would suggest this thermometer.

Lavatools PT12 Javelin Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer for Kitchen, Food Cooking, Grill, BBQ, Smoker, Candy, Home Brewing, Coffee, and Oil Deep Frying Review:

I've only used it once so far, but it's already very pleased me. I've been waiting to get one of those $100 thermapens, but I was never able to persuade myself that it would be truly worth the astronomical cost. When I saw this one, I felt the price was a great deal considering they said it worked just as quickly. I was initially dubious when I first got it because it didn't seem to read quickly or accurately from my skin or mouth, but that night we grilled a ham, and all I can say is that it read virtually instantly! This digital probe displayed the temperature before I could even consider counting the seconds to check its speed. My other digital probe took a full minute to settle on the temperature.Although I haven't yet attempted to double-check the calibration, I'll be sure to update this review if I discover that it isn't accurate or if any other issues arise. The probe might benefit from being a little bit longer, but it will still work for everything I can fit in my oven (and it is as long as my other thermometer). I don't understand how it could receive anything less than 5 stars as long as it continues to function. Any slight apprehension I may have regarding the probe length will be outweighed by the excellent price alone.

ThermoPro TP-17 Dual Probe Digital Cooking Meat Thermometer Large LCD Backlight Food Grill Thermometer with Timer Mode for Smoker Kitchen Oven BBQ, Silver Review:

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this thermometer and their customer service are fantastic. When I put the probe in boiling water to test the temperature gauge after six months, it read 210 degrees right away and 212 degrees within approximately 30 seconds. I've purchased a few meat thermometers over the years, and this TP17 is by far the most precise.Additionally, after around 8 months, when my meat reached the desired temperature, the audible alert appeared to cease alerting (although the lights continued to flash). When I called customer service to ask how to turn the audio back on, someone answered in about three minutes and indicated there was a problem with the thermometer and they would send me a replacement in 2-4 days. They only sought proof that I had purchased the item and that the same address was still valid; they didn't need a return. fantastic customer service To everyone, I would heartily suggest this product.

ThermoPro TP-08S Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Meat Thermometer Dual Probe for Grilling Smoker BBQ Food Thermometer - Monitors Food from 300 Feet Away Review:

In order to track the progress of a beef brisket I was cooking on 3/09/16, I bought the ThermoPro TP08 Wireless Remote Digital Kitchen Cooking Thermometer - Dual Probe for BBQ Smoker Grill Oven. To honor the birthday of my father-in-law, I was preparing the brisket. Briskets are rough and dried out no matter how long I cook them. To check the beef's internal temperature, a coworker suggested using a meat thermometer. He suggested a different brand that just kept track of the temperature of the meat and had to be checked at the barbecue pit. I found your product while looking for digital thermometers on Amazon. I appreciated being able to keep an eye on both the internal temperature of the meat and the barbecue pit. Since my barbecue pit doesn't have any thermometers attached to it, the ability to check the temperature inside the pit was a major selling factor for me. On Friday, March 8, 2016, I received your first part, which I had ordered the previous week. I opened the thermometer's packaging and got acquainted with how it worked. I ignited the barbecue pit at 4:30 on Saturday morning, and at 5:30 I began smoking my brisket. I put one meat probe into the brisket and the other into the barbecue pit. I programmed a temperature alarm to sound when the meat's internal temperature hit 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Let me say that the Thermopro TP08's ease of use really amazed me. From inside the home, about 50 feet from the pit, I watched the entire cooking process. The other meals that would go with the brisket may be made by myself. The secret to smoking a brisket is to maintain a low, continuous temperature of 200–250 F for 7–8 hours. I was able to detect when the temperature of the barbecue pit reached 300 F, which is when the wood started to flare up, because of the wireless monitoring capabilities. The fact that I was able to react to the wood flare-up and bring the temperature under control was a major plus. I finished making the finest brisket I've ever cooked eight hours later. Everyone complimented me on how tender the brisket was when they tasted it. The ThermoPro TP08, needless to say, exceeded my expectations in every way. I've included images of the TP08 that were taken at 9:00 am when I was keeping an eye on the cooking. I rate this product a perfect 10 for portability, convenience, and ease of use. Thank you, thank you, thank you is all I have to say.SincerelyJoe

ThermoPro TP-16 Digital Cooking Food Meat Thermometer for Smoker Oven Kitchen Candy BBQ Grill Thermometer Clock Timer with Stainless Steel Temperature Probe, Large LCD Display, Standard, Silver Review:

An excellent product. About two weeks ago, I purchased this. After determining that a product has 4-5 stars on Amazon, I look at the one star reviews to determine the percentage of unfavorable reviews... and how the seller or manufacturer reacts to these reviews. In this instance, the fact that i-Tronics had responded to each and every one of the bad reviews I had read was a good reason to pick this product because the vendor was keeping an eye on the reviews and had offered to fix whatever the problem might have been. The lifetime guarantee on the probe was another factor in my decision to acquire this. When a previous device I owned malfunctioned, I thought the probe might be to blame. This was a major benefit. When I tested the device with boiling water a few days after it arrived (at 600 feet above sea level), it measured 210 degrees, which is unquestionably close enough for cooking. Unfortunately, as I was fiddling with it, I found that the central button on the device's top was broken. When the i-tronics contacted me through email to request a review, I replied that, at the time, this issue would probably result in a two-star rating. (But I was prepared to put up with it) In response, they sent me another unit right away and instructed me not to send the first one back. The second appears to be okay. (And I now possess an extra probe.)It is impressive how responsive these suppliers and manufacturers are. This is a good incentive to choose this thermometer, especially because it comes with an unlimited number of probe replacements and a 5-year device guarantee. (Presuming you need a replacement and they are still alive.) However, it is difficult to think that one could make a mistake here for $15.

To get an accurate reading with a meat thermometer, you need to leave it in for at least 30 seconds. If you want to be extra precise, you can leave it in for up to 1 minute. Just make sure that you don't leave it in for too long, or you'll risk overcooking your meat.
