However, this mead is a wonderful, straightforward, affordable, and extremely dry mead. You will be let down if you don't know the distinctions between the various types of mead and anticipate this mead to be as sweet as a dessert wine. If you enjoy a dry, non-novelty mead, this is a really good low-cost option if you regularly drink mead. It is available on Amazon for around the same price as it is in stores. Finding it in shops that stock more than a few different varieties of mead is fairly usual. It had a pleasant, light mouthfeel that is suitable for sophisticated wine-type consumption, but it tastes best when gulped down like a beer. While it fills your senses, it does not overwhelm them like a gulp of wine would. It goes down smoothly. If you want to share it, get a few bottles because it will disappear quickly when served in traditional Viking steins and mugs. This is my go-to mead, so while I'm buying other meads, I usually pick up a bottle of this one as well. Even though it's a good elderberry wine, I don't think it tastes anything like mead. Although the elderberries in this mead are tasty, the honey that was used to brew it was overpowered by the elderberry flavor. It goes down smoothly, tastes good and sweet and fruity, and is not at all dry. This one I drank at 46 degrees; I haven't yet tried it at higher temperatures. I'm going to do it later. If I were to eat at Sonic for the evening, I would choose this. If you're seeking for mead, choose The King's Mead; I like it, but I don't adore it. Buy this elderberry wine if you're seeking for some. It will suit you.

This wine is excellent. The flavor has hints of honey and reminds one of raisins. Additionally, there is a fair amount of honey aftertaste. This particular melomel is fantastic, therefore I would suggest it to anyone searching for a distinctive take on a classic red wine or anyone who enjoys mead. It only gives way, in my opinion, to the cherry melomel. This wine would be perfect for a special evening spent with your partner. It would work nicely, in my opinion, with dark chocolate, as well as a good gouda or blue cheese.

Although not as amazing as their kings mead, this mead is still fantastic. This mead, in my opinion, is more of a sipper than a "chuggin' down the hatch" kind. It tells me to take off my shoes because I'll be here for a while. For me, a little of this mead goes a long way. It is a silky dry honey wine that first hits your palate with spices before moving on to dryness and heat before finishing with the lovely flavor of honey. This mead is great anytime, but in my opinion, it's best for the chilly winter nights. I believe whiskey, bourbon, and brandy drinkers would like this one. As you can see, I'm not a professional taster, so this review is the best I could come up with to express how this mead tasted to me. It's simply my opinion as someone who experienced it.

Another outstanding product from the Hidden Legend Winery, mmmm. The website's description of this black mead is accurate. It has a dark tint and is a semi-dry honey mead. This mead will appeal to those who prefer their brews on the darker side. It has a really lovely smoky tone and a smooth flavour. At 46 degrees, it tastes great chilled and goes down smoothly. As stated in the description, this mead goes particularly well with dishes that contain meat (perfect for a grill out). Without a doubt, I'll purchase more of this.
